Stella’s so pretty I don’t know why she pulls her hair out and I think she did great at her doctor with her wellness check and her flu shot with no tears
My niece did exactly this when her new baby sister arrived. She would pull out her hair and find cotton from inside toys and rub it over her nose. My sister made sure she told her to stop if she saw her doing it during the day and eventually she grew out of the hair pulling. However even now (she’s 15 now) she likes to twiddle fluff when she is stressed!! Try not to make too much fuss about it, just tell her no if you see her doing it and distract her. She WILL grow out of it eventually.

Pulling out hair can be an anxiety issue. I know a few people adults and kids that do that. With so much going on and being little like her it may just be hard to express how she feels. Maybe try also not mentioning her hair pulling to her for a while also.
Poor Stella, Hope she gets better. She seemed pretty happy to spend 1 on 1 with you. It could be her being anxious about being alone in a room or being away from a parent and doesn’t know how to express it. It’s most likely stress and anxiety. Many kids bite, punch, hit, wet the bed, pull their hair, twist their hair - that’s exactly what she does. Truly hope you find a solution
Chelsea i have a tip on Stella's hair for a ponytail. When you get it up in a ponytail take a toothbrush that has never been used on a tooth and take any kind of gel and get some on a toothbrush and keep doing it until all the hair is up. And I gave someone this advice and it worked for them. And I wouldn't use it on a tooth after you use the gel. And by the way I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!

This is a huge sign of anxiety. I think therapy is a really good idea. I did stuff like this as a kid and it only progressed, I wish I would have gone to therapy as a child

Shes getting to old🥺(edit: my little sister had the same problem, we were so worried too, my doctor was just saying that she was doing it because she was bored and according from the doctor, it was her age. It was happening for about 2 months so not very long, hope she can soon get some more suggestions) lots of love from Australia❤️
I used to pull my eyelashes out when I was little and what helped me was my mother made a sticker chart and I would get a sticker everyday I didn’t pull them, and at the end of the week if I had more than 5 stickers I would get a treat. And it worked pretty well so maybe you should try with Stella!
It is stress and anxiety...Being so young, they have no way to express how they feel. Some kids bite, wet the bed, curl their hair, pull out their hair, regress on learned experiences. My son started to curl his hair at age 3... We had just moved to a new house and he had a shift in his OT. When he was 4 and 1/2, his dad died very suddenly and the curling of the hair came back full force. I had to leave his curl on the top of his head alone or he would never sleep. He is now 11 and will still curl his curl when stressed out. I have learned to ignore it. The less I talked about it, the less he did it.

Maybe do a simple sticker chart to put stickers on to reward her when she doesn’t pull her hair and earn rewards like one on one time. Definitely a simple way to encourage her out of the habit at her age

Since Stella likes soft silky things to rub on her nose while sucking her thumb have you thought about getting a baby blanket that has little tags all around the edge of it. I believe they are called taggies. Good luck.
Babies bite, pinch and pull hair to work out cause and effect. Toddlers often do it to express feelings they don't have words for. Respond to this behaviour by saying 'No', but stay calm. Give the behaviour as little attention as possible. That might help for Stella’s hair pulling

Stella is the absolute sweetest prettiest little girl on Utube I have been a hairstylist for over 20 years and have seen hair pulling in many kids. I think it may be helpful to cut a cute short style so she doesn't have the strands to grab on to. I know the Dr recommended not to but I wonder why. Simply for cosmetic reasons maybe? Either way good luck.

I was thinking the same. I have autism and never pulled my hair but I know other people do that. Then she said she loves blankets and soft things. I (and a lot of autistic persons) feel safe and good if we are like wrapped. And the soft part also happens a lot we tend to hate some textures. Just my experience and everything what my specialist has teach me. Sorry about my english

Love u guys,u have such a beautiful family and your home is gorgeous ...little stella is so sweet and my niece pulled her hair also plus she would set and rock till she woukd break couches down....it was her nerves and stress that caused it....they had gotten a new home,new school and everything totally changed but the goid news is,soon as they got settled she eventually stopped doung both..so hang in there and i think baby girl will be fine,she will stop doing it just let things settle and i think all will be good,love u guys ,stay safe and thanks so much for the videos 🧡💜💖💛❤💚💙
