So clean. Great job. I agree with having the guitar play in the background so people can hear you play live so no one can say you were not playing. Good job.❤
This guitar is actually an ESP/LTD AX-400, but I know it looks very similar to some BC Rich models That was why I wanted to get it, I love the body shape of this guitar 🤘 Edit: and the fret inlays
@ilyafivegame9978 oh I see. I think something happened to this video when I sent it from my phone to my computer. It does look a little choppy, the video could be smoother I think I need to increase the FPS when I'm editing the videos in the video editor
Well this is cool (and well played) but also shoutout to the algorithm for showing me your channel. With any luck, I'll be like you in the future haha, I also look up to all the insane shredders and like sitting around trying to come up with interesting sounding passages. I've only been playing for 4-5 months tho so I still have a long way to go :P
Thank you! I actually started 16 years ago, so it can be a pretty long journey lol Although I don't play every day, and I don't think I've ever played for more than 2-3 hours in a single day This is probably the most difficult thing I've put on my channel so far. I think flashy stuff tends to get more views, but I have ideas that I like that are easy to play sometimes There's so many levels and aspects to guitar playing though, definitely not all about difficulty/skill. I neglected theory for too long though, and I still have a lot to learn. But everything helps, I would say definitely don't neglect theory
@@zuuusounds My story’s kinda funny: I’m in college right now and I actually took a music theory class last semester, so I learned some of the basics of music theory as a whole before I ever touched a guitar. That said, general theory doesn’t translate onto a guitar very easily (at least compared to something like a piano). I find myself feeling like I need to get a lot more comfortable with the guitar before I can start to use it to think through chord progressions and resolutions and such. And yes, there’s a lot more to guitar than super technical shredding, but I think it’s cool and so I want to learn how to do it :P You’re right though, it’s a lot more satisfying to know how to use theory to actually have your playing lead places musically rather than simply learning how to play a scale as fast as you can.
@knacknot things like the circle of 5ths, intervals and building chords are really helpful for pretty much any instrument I would say. Or knowing the modes, it's just really helpful for improvising and creating new ideas Shredding is pretty fun though, I agree lol. It's good to have a balance of restraint and shred
Haha don't do that I've been playing for about 16 years and I see people who are better than me who have been playing for less time. I see people whose level I don't think I'll ever get close to But it's still fun to play, and you can still have good ideas without playing something really difficult
Great video! Subbed. Keep dropping these riffs with tabs and your channel is sure to grow. I do see a way you could improve the template a bit. See if you can find a tab system that lets you specify hammers, pull-offs, tapping and pick direction. Those visual aids really help with things like sweeping arpeggios.
Thanks, I appreciate it. The tab software I use has those notations, I just haven't been using them 😅 sometimes it distorts the melody and sounds bad when played back by the software, a lot of the time I just don't want to put in the effort of transcribing exactly what I'm playing But yes, it probably would be easier to learn with notations. If it doesn't kill me in the transcribing process, I'll try to add more musical direction
The noise gate is my right palm muting the strings 😅 I've never used a neck wrap for any of my videos and I don't use a noise gate either, unless there's one built into the Boss eBand js-10. But I don't think there is
That's one of my goals eventually, to start recording some full songs. I've just started to scratch the surface messing around with cakewalk and ableton lite. I need to get some drums packs or a drum plug in, need a bass plug in, and then I might be good to go I'm uploading another tapping lick tomorrow though 😅
For the A7 arpeggio, I'm doing a hammer on out of nowhere for the 8th fret of the B string, hammering on to 10 and tapping the 14th fret, pull off to 10 and 8, then tap 17 and pull off to 14 and 10. Hammer on out of nowhere for the 12th fret of the G string, then picking 14 and pulling off to 11 on the D string
I took lessons for a couple years when I was much younger. I haven't been to school for music For a long time I didn't really focus on theory, but I've been trying to study and teach myself for the last few years. I know some theory, but it could be a lot more
Ayo i am dumbfounded at how many excellent guitarists their are who post on youtube but arent famous The ppl u see post on here can get on stage and hold their own with some of the most well known guitar players the music industry has to offer and yet nobody knows they exist....
