Caitlin, I want to thank you and Tiptoe for helping me out. A few months ago I lost my aunt to cancer, then my dad died a month later, then a week after my dad’s death I lost my 15 year old cat, Vinny. I was devastated and then about 3 wks after that I lost my job. I was so depressed and didn’t think life was worth living. I got on UA-cam and discovered you and Tiptoe! I just started to smile and just gushed over your amazing tortoise and how wonderful you are to him! It makes me see that life is wonderful and things will get better. Thank you, Caitlin and Tiptoe for making me smile again!❤️🐢❤️👱🏻♀️❤️

Tiptoe is family. It's natural to be concerned about him when you are away. So a few more cameras is good. After all Tiptoe is mischievous and loves to explore.
He wouldn’t be Tiptoe if he didn’t act mischievously ❤️😉
Your Mom behavior is natural. You have been growing together, you have matured together, your baby tortoise requires more responsibilities, upkeep, attention and along with the demands of teenagers/young adults comes more need for activities to release that youthful energy, vital for healthier biological expressions and more interactions to keep the mind, body, spirit, emotional needs met in whatever ways you can satisfy these needs of Tiptoe. Big animal, big needs. Thankfully, you do have your Mom and friends to help for a routine walk, in the Spring, Summer and a little time in the Fall. It is such a benefit to have a warm pool/spa all year round. Colder months makes Big T want to burrow more and sleep

Everyone should have a "mom" like you...... and grandparents like your parents.
Thank you for talking about Tip Toe's care.I think people need to be aware of how much work it takes.Sulcatas have grown in popularity but I don't think some folks realize how much care and time it takes.Tip Toe is truly lucky to have such a good mom.

That’s nice he wakes up early my tort has never seen 6:30 my guy isn’t even thinking about waking up till around 12-12:30. I rarely get to see him before I go to work, I just always make sure I see him before I leave to make sure he’s ok.
yep my boy is 10-11am kind of tort,that is so funny cause my red eared slider is up @7am,my redfoot,.around 9am and my mud turtle,I really don't know cause their shy,grumpy,secretive turtles,so she's always hiding,she does come out,every now and then..of course to eat,they are so weird how they all have different times,but I believe turtles wake up earlier than tortoises,cause sulcatas are usually in a deep dark burrow and my redfoot lives in a enclosure that is mostly shaded like their home in the rain forest,my red ear lives outside in a pond and the mud turtle lives inside cause she will only get up to 4 inches,so no way is she living outside,those are my shelled angels that I love more than life and tiptoe is just precious,Anne a very good boy for a sulcata😂😂

I have 12 tortoises and buy LOTS of vegetables at farmers markets on the weekend. The vendors look at me and think to themselves: "He's either got a lot of tortoises or somebody told him he's too fat."

hahaha the farmers market is truly a blessing for these beauties, sometimes they even save the carrot tops for him

I have a Sulcata he is 4 years old and I love him he is funny he acts like a dog he just needs to bark lol.. love seeing u on how much u love your tortoise and it shows I can tell that he loves u as well!!! ❤

Tiptoe is brilliant I love him, I have a small girl toitose I've had her 47 years she is older than that, I found her walking down the road when I was a kid.
You can get left-handed secateurs/clippers these days - makes life much easier!

Perfectly normal to have anxiety. My son is 33 and I still get anxious when he’s going on a long journey somewhere. He’s very sensible, I know it’s silly, but you can’t do anything about it
It's natural to feel worried about a loved one. He seems pretty resilience but he definitely has special needs.

You could get an electric weed whacker to quickly cut some grass and use a rake to make a pile for ease of placing into the bucket.
I've been watching videos from The Tortoise Whisperer. He make comments like "It is feeding day", which makes me think that they aren't fed everyday. You seem to feed Tip Toe multiple times per day.

Yes it is quite natural to worry about your kids. I have the 360 app on their phones and mine. So I can check in on them if need to be.

What brand of camera's do you use for tiptoe. I have to get some for my sulcata's. I have two, four year olds

I have way too many animals and work a split shift. I worry every time I go out the door. I get my kisses and tell them i love them. I just think what if... I would never forgive myself. So if you're not normal, no one tell me. 😂

Not having a yard to give a tortoise a decent home I watch tortoise videos to get my tortoise fix until I do acquire a yard. I promise not to get a sulcata tortoise as they require much more space than a Russian tortoise. I miss having a tortoise.
