Thanks for the lecture! Just tried out the monkey jump about half an hour ago on KGS. At first my opponent placed a "psh whatever" stone to try to stop it. Then, just like you said, he started freaking out when he couldn't stop it. Wonderful! Ended up taking ~15 points out of his territory.

So, is playing the double hane a bad move then, if your opponent can counter with the cut and extension?
