Had great fun in Kentucky during October this year. Four roses grab OBSO and OESV. Both are fantastic for $99 each. California usually will see them for $130. Bardstown one year anniversary single barrel beat all discovery 9-11 series tastings Very glad grabbed the single barrel and saved some money. Great review of the WT. Glad I passed. However, Mr. Russell signing a bottle might change my mind
@@accor097r I would say that would be two one of only times I would buy it again. The other it would have to be a special barrel. Either way very happy with the ones I liked and now I know what to pass on.
2 different liquor stores by me in mid michigan are getting 4 roses single barrel-barrel strength store picks in the next few weeks, never been available around here before and to say I'm exited is an understatement 👍😉 Cheers my friend 🥃
I can't remember if you have but have you been able to get the evan williams 12 or masters blend one? I got those on my tour but the 12 I thought really stood out. I tried it there and got a bottle then later on was given a pour and was impressed. Shame on me for not opening it though
@@joeyoliver504 I’ve got both of them. The 12 is certainly the winner out of the two. It’s just unfortunate the price feels like it’s going up at the distillery every few months.
Seems like the distillery bottles are mainly meant to let you experience something unique. May not be the best you’ve ever had, but something you can’t get anywhere else. To that end, I respect it and would probably still buy quite a few of them. Cheers Patrick!
Appreciate the honesty here. I’m floored on the Russell’s reserve store pic. Looks like I might be avoiding Tyrone warehouses. Around me they’re $90 now and unless it’s a Camp Nelson or a warehouse I don’t have. I’m not buying. Big stores like Total Wine always seem to just get Tyrone warehouses.
I’ve had a camp Nelson pick that was solid. IMO I feel like the Russel’s picks as a whole are falling off a little. Pricing goes up and the quality isn’t what it was 2 years ago.
I would love to do the Kentucky Bourbon Trail one day and I would be open to probably buy all of them because I know I might not be back still they sound a little overpriced
🎉🎉🎉 thanks
@@altmandillon1 my pleasure.
Would love to see you go to Hazels in Boulder, my go to store!
I’m always looking for good stores to visit and hazels is up there on my next lists.

I'd say that's a great sign for bourbon enthusiasts in your area! Hopefully they don’t gouge yall.
The 4 roses 🌹 all day every day
Great video!!
Glad you enjoyed it!

They came up with the idea of having something unique that would be available for guests to buy and I totally get it.

Elijah Craig grenades are some of the best juice I’ve had from heaven hill. Not to be slept on.
They are a win every time.

It’s very fun. A great trip for not only bourbon fans but any whiskey enthusiast.
Was hoping they would have grenades when I visited HH but none around.
Sometimes they go out at opening sometimes they’ll put them out through the day.
I bought a WT Single Barrel Store Pick Rye at Argonaut a few weeks ago. It's good but I don't think it is worth $80. I won't be buying another one.
I don’t know they were selling those until I saw that exact bottle. Good to know.
