Though we led most all of the game, this was another edge of your seat gut squirming win, a roller coaster til the end. Texas played hard and well, but our guys rose to the occasion every time they had to. That last TD was highlight reel material. DG is the real Deal.

The takeaways is something OU has been doing with regularity this season. Also the TFL's. OU gave up some yards, big plays, but kept it together, and didn't get down, but just kept on fighting. And as I have been saying over and over since last season, A Tight End is no quarterback. And that is who played most of the game last year at QB for OU, because we simply didn't have a QB who could do the job. ( DG was out with a concussion ) Once OU went to that, using a TE, we were done. it sucked the air out of the team. Not this season. DG was a swiss army knife type QB, he did what he had to do to win.

This OU team is one of the few best teams in the country. The improvement they’ve made from last year is Coach of the Year territory. Did Venables say that OU has 60 new players this year? How is that possible?
Doing it the right way. Venables has a faith based approach & holds everyone accountable. Defense & Offense are both equally important now in Norman. Recruiting better on defense with players that fit the scheme who want to play for the Oklahoma tradition. With this win Venables getting this thing rolling with his faith & recruiting the right players that believe the same way!! Heisman Trophies are great but getting back to playing championship defense in Norman is awesome to watch!!
The difference between Venables and Riley is Brent wants to be here. That is worth it's weight in gold. He also wants the same from his players. Proud of this entire group. I finally enjoy watching Sooner football again.

The way stutsman reacted to gabriel stating there was a minute 17 left on the clock (at 2:50 in the video) makes me think ou isn’t as close as we the fans assumed. Shortly after Gabriel’s mentions the time left, stutsman ,again, makes an agitated gesture which coach v quickly calms stutsman down. The next couple of question are also directed to Gabriel, each one stutsman seemed a little more pissed at. Maybe it’s because the defense hasn’t gotten any credit yet
