Me a year ago: "Pfft. A Child's Play remake? Come on!"
Me ten seconds ago, "Bear, you magnificent bastard..."
Reboot, but I get what you mean. :3 (I personally think the series is overdue for a reboot after Bride)
Same here buddi lmao
@@LoneWolf-ko6sf Bride was okay. Nothing special but okay. Seed of Chucky, on the other hand, was pure trash.
@@jeremyzak654 I think everyone can agree after Child's Play 3 the series went comedically bad but curse and cult brought Chucky back to the nightmares of kids and it could have been continued from cult cause I really wanted to know what nica possessed by Chucky would lead up to
@@oetakeo I agree that the series got back after Child's Play 3, but Bride was fun to watch at best. However, Curse was really good (aside from the doll's design) but Cult on the other hand. I'd argue that it's almost as bad as Seed. Chucky to me personally lost his scarr factor the moment I realized he can just make multiple hims. Not to mention the plot hole of him not watching to be in a human's body (Seed) but now he possessed Nica? It's just like... How many Chucky's do we need because we also still have the one that's locked in Andy's home... Cult would have been a much better movie if they just left that element out. However, this is just my opinion and I respect yours too, but here's hoping that the TV series redeems Chucky once again.
If Chucky ever becomes a killer in Dead by Daylight, Bear should compose his Terror Radius music.
FlamingBeast2521 HELL TO THE YESS
Perfect idea
Yes but no remake chucky we gotta have the original
about this, what if his power was to be able to switch between his human form and his doll form? with only one being able to vault and take survivors to the hooks, and the other one being very fast and being immune to pallet stuns, but unable to do the previous things?
@@ashleyj.williams3396 Tbh I'd rather have 2019 Chucky as the killer. I think it would be much more scary and awesome. Child's Play is the only horror franchise that I like the remake the best.
This man should compose the soundtrack for a Five Nights at Freddy’s movie
EDIT: Three, nearly four years later and we did finally get a FNaF movie, but Bear was not the composer. Though what we did get was solid their own right.
hell yeah!
To good for that shit TBH. Btw that will never be made. It's been in development he'll for years now. Not a good sign.

I love how he is able to use a little kids toys to make this horrifying sound it’s just so cool how someone of that profession is able to make this it’s also pretty cool because it gets creepier the longer you listen to it
Takes me back to when horror movies had memorable themes. You nailed it
Us was pretty good
Camw1n dude I’m sorry but the new one was damn well memorable hah
40 years and the Halloween theme is just as scary as all those years ago.
I liked the budy song but there is something more creepy and cool with this .
A memorable theme I thought was 27 years later from it that song is really good
Even if the movie ends up poor, this theme will always FRIGGIN ROCK.
Even if this movie sucks, it'll never be as bad as Seed and Cult of Chucky. Fuck those films

@@marcusblack5810 cult bride were actually good even curse
I don’t think it won’t suck but it would be good

The ONE thing this movie did better than the first movie was Bear McCreary's original music. Fits Chucky perfectly.
Great theme but it will never be better than Child's Play 1 & 2 theme songs
I prefer the original’s theme
It actually makes it creepier when it’s played on kids instruments
Bear McCreary, you’re a true legend man!

Yes. It's an otamatone

Best theme in the entire franchise. It has childish sounding elements to it and actually sounds sinister.
Zack Noble the fact that Bear uses actual toys in the creation is the icing on the cake.
@Yeeyee Bubba you're absolutely right! But child's play 3 - cult are beat by this new theme
Excuse me???? Lmao, have you heard the soundtrack from child’s play 2? or 1? They’re both masterpieces!!!
Child's play 2 has the best soundtrack in all movies.
child’s play 2 had the best song .... you haven’t heard it have you ?
Producers: We need a theme tune for the new Chucky.
Bear McCreary: LA LA LA * whacks xylophone then has seziure *

Imagine if Bear McCreary does music for a DC movie (or maybe have him compose a score for another MCU project as well)
He did for DC TV SERIES called Constantine (2014) and I just wanna mention that this theme is very similar to Child's Play (2019) theme
He did the main theme for Agents of Shield
Amagine him on a joker soundtrack

I can hear this in a montage when chucky is being made in the beginning of the movie
I can too. Really builds that image of expectation
That's what I think to
Or being rebuilt in the end when we thought he was dead gone
now that's an opening theme
For some reason me to
I never thought I'd say this, but this is THE BEST Chucky theme I have EVER heard! 10/10 👍
It's up there with the Child's Play 1 and 2 soundtracks, very pleased.
What I love about Bear's Music is each sound track is so different, with Zimmer, Williams, Elfman, you can say very quickly who the composer is.... with Bear its a unique sound that fits the theme of the film perfectly. In my opinion.
The new wierd al
Looks like Bear let out his inner Danny Elfman with great results.
How can one man make so many badass soundtracks in so little time?
Practice and practice and dedication and hard work from ages
He, is the chosen one.
Bruh! U can say that again, ever heard his all along the watch tower😍 let's not mention God of War coz everyone knows he killed that but Battlestar Galactica he wasn't even that famous then
To quote Venom:
"So many badass soundtracks, So little time".
.exe be like
This guy managed to make one of the best horror themes with just toy instruments *incredible*
It fits cause child and toys
The next wierd al
I seriously wish more composers would make videos like this! It's just so amazing to see how they do it!
I was expecting to hear Mark/Chucky in the end, but this is still badass.

Chucky: And now it's time to play

@Veiny Lemon I was just quoting something from the 2nd Child's Play movie. Also, I think it might be just you. It depends on which word you're talking about.
@@danielrules-espinal lets play hide the soul
What I really love about this is how Graeme Revell used toy pianos and circus organ for his Child’s Play 2 score, but focused a ton more on the orchestra. Here, Bear totally turns the toy aspect of the score way up, and I totally dig it!
And the Oscar for the best commposer of the year goes to ΒẸÃŘ ϺČŘẸÃŘЎ🎶🔥

Unfortunately, I don't see the Oscars giving a slasher flick any kind of award.

2:18 ... anyone else picture a badass villain unmasking? No? Sounds f-ing awesome!
This is amazing. Danny Elfman, eat your heart out.
Dylan Jackson it’s a bride of chucky reference ☺️
@YTuser lol Wow, you’re right! I actually wasn’t making a reference, but it was great to find that out. 😁
This is giving me Elfman vibes for sure
Best theme since child's play 2
Gonna have to agree for sure lol
I really liked part 3’s theme. Those guitar riffs were badass along with the military theme.
Michael Albaladejo I’m with you on that one. I like how Bear McCreary used actual toy instruments instead of real ones. Cause you got toy xylophones, screaming toys, toy keyboards, etc. Whenever you put Bear McCreary in charge of making the music for your movie or tv show, he always delivers.
Michael Albaladejo Definitely.
Curse of chucky theme was good tho
The fact that he knows where to get these instruments, AND HOW TO PLAY THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE, is rely cool. But the fact that he is using child's pianos is what I think makes it that much more creepy and unsettling. Great work.
1988: _This isn't the theme to "Child's Play"_
2019: _Yes it is_
Fun fact: The creators of the soundtrack added a cover by Bear McCreary of the original Child's Play theme to the soundtrack.

It makes me so happy seeing Bear pay such respect to the music of this series which, in my opinion, is the most underrated part of Chucky's legacy. I hope Bear does more horror projects in future, I'd love to see his take on Freddy's theme.
Hey Tracer!
Be amazing if he would Compose the FNAF Move coming up soon.
Well they aren't making anymore Friday or nightmare movie's again.....😪
What if for freddys he used bells tied to a half broken dreamcatcher
@@stink0623Damn it, Newton Bros beat him to it.
The fact that you used freaking toys to the music is just an amazing touch!! It totally goes perfectly for a movie's theme about a killer doll :3

Yeah
This man is an artistic genius! He even Incorporated the use of a few toy instruments in this composition.
Best soundtrack out of the whole Child's play franchise!!!
Probably the rest but definitely not better than Child's Play 1 & 2 😂
Man Bear you really had Fun with Child's Play Didn't you ;)
Holy crap! That was intense asf!
You absolutely deserved a medal for that Bear!
This fits the tone of horror and the then of the film excellently! Cannot wait to see this movie! ❤️
It’s whimsical and nightmarish at the same time. I feel like I’m watching a horror movie directed by Joe Dante with this score.
Plus, otamatones. The meme lives.
Funny that you should mention that because Joe Dante interviewed Bear earlier this year, I think if they make a third Gremlins film Bear would be the perfect choice for Composer.
The amazing Bear McCreary channeling some Jerry Goldsmith, not just with the amazing theme, but the incorporation of interesting and obscure instruments. Love it.
Fantastic!! One of your best theme songs so far. Truly love the music and the video!
It's awesome!
Hey myuu

Well we know one thing for sure. If the movie sucks, at least the soundtrack will be awesome.

I know very, very little about Chucky but this is a MASTERPIECE. Thank you so much for your incredible scores, Mr. McCreary!
The choir is straight out of Childs Play 1988, the piano straight out of Childs Play 2. And even has some Childs Play 3 and Cult Of Chucky in there. Brilliant score
This is so fucking cool, my man you did it again with another great score.
00:45 when this played on the VR video my heart actually started beating out of control, I love it so much
The fact that he's managed to fit in a melodica, harmonica, sytlophone, and some how a dam otamatone and make it sound so good

I just watched Child's Play 2019 last night for the 3rd time! It really blew my mind when I found Bear McCreary did the whole song! I thought it was children singing singing the "la la la" part! Then Insaw this song last year! Sends chills up and down the spine and gives me goosebumps!
Oh dear...you’re the one making this song? I’m gonna have nightmares with this song for months now. Chucky was the thing that gave me horrible nightmares as a kid. Can’t wait to hear your music in it!

You, Sir, just won my personal Soundtrack of the Year award. I just watched Child's Play (2019), and your score was one of the absolute best things about the film!
This is how soundtracks should be. Melodic and timeless
It's the Year of Bear McCreary!!!!
Not only did you take nostalgia and convert it into something completely new, but you also used a style I didn't think would even work for Chucky! Fantastic work! Seeing you have so much fun with this theme makes me very happy! You made me shed manly tears, btw... ^O^
I may dislike the Child's play remake. But it had a damned good soundtrack. I hope some day the actual Chucky series can legally use this soundtrack. It really captures the ominous yet childish theme perfectly
So many usually "unconventional" instruments.. god, you are such a mastermind at music! I wish there was more composers like you, it'd make things so much better.
This song actually makes me feel scared. The only other soundtrack to make me feel _anything_ was the Sally Face soundtrack, so great on ya! It's hard to make me feel something over a soundtrack.
