I daily drive a 90 v6 trooper, my grandfather bought new and is has been in the family ever since. The last odometer reading was 455,256 original Engine and transmission (manual). This truck will never die😂😂
Great job getting the Trooper road ready Jeff. Your story is very similar to mine as I picked up my dads 86 Trooper. He bought it used in 1990 with 35k miles on it, barely drove it so it sat in the garage till 2006. Then he sold that house and the truck sat outside never run till 2014. Went through much of what you did except motor ran fine after Weber carb conversion. I was surprised at the lack of power in these as it only came with 96 HP. Still fun to drive though. Nice Trooper! I own a 91 Ls and I will never part with it. I used a Mahl graphite head gasket and no issues for 10 years so far. Very capable offroad vehicles!
Awesome looking Isuzu Trooper! I remember when these were on the market. I found them more attractive than the Toyota 4Runner at the time. I remember they were available with different engine choices, V6 engine, diesel engine, or turbo diesel engine. Which one does this have?
Dude where have you been, ive been waiting for this vid i thought you had probably sold this rig or something, anyways very cool you got it running, i was hoping to get a whole walkaround, what size tires are those look very beefy, i have a 86 of my own i will make a vid soon, keep this rigs vids coming, nice!
So glad to see you're still working on the trooper. For rust prevention try fluid film! I live close to Atlanta, ga btw. Lots of troopers down here and a guy in dacula, ga specializes in parts.
Had an 86 also. Was in the Navy transferred to Norway in 96. Norwegians loved it wanted to buy it. No sale. Brought it back to the states with me. My college daughter totaled it. Wasn’t her fault but still. I miss it. Great car great looks.

It has the petrol 2.3 liter 4 cylinder.
