Thank you, Sherri, for a beautiful tribute to Tina! I had the fortune of seeing her at Staples Center in November 2000, a sold-out crowd.
What a show, the best concert I've seen, the buzz, the energy, and the voice!
I was sitting in the "nosebleed" section of the balcony, and the crowd rose to sing and move with her. It felt like a 6.5 on the Richter scale... the building was moving!
Yes, I remember Tina on that crane in 4 or 5" heels, running back and forth, with more stamina than her backup dancers!
What a night... at least I can say I've seen

I'll never forget my mom asking what I wanted for my 12th birthday. This was in 1984. I asked her for a few records and she said I could pick only 3. Tina's "What's Love Got to Do With It" was first. Rebbie Jackson's "Centipede" was second and Sheila E's "Glamorous Life" was 3rd. She threw in "Jam On It" by Newcleus as a bonus. My love for Tina goes way back!

I watched one of her last interviews and to see her talk about how truly HAPPY she was even as she spoke about her past health challenges (stroke, cancer, needing a kidney) there was a PEACE there. She truly will be missed Rest Well Queen 👸🏽🙏🏾

My auntie would be her for Halloween each year and I just followed her career since… this one hurt and the third celebrity death I cried over. Whitney & MJ being the first two. Allen, I cried a little just because that's what you do, but I am not really sad because she was so sick for about 10 years. She went through hell with her numerous health challenges. She told Oprah she was ready to go after her stroke or kidney transplant and that was in 2019. So I am glad that she is out of suffering and pain and off to another planet like she said. Bless her sweet soul. She lived a phenomenal life, with the lowest of lows and the highest of highs.
