No one forgets or downplays it. Who's downplaying this? Who's forgetting this? The law doesn't. The victim's family doesn't. The drunk driver family doesnt
@@raymondlin8728 the people themselves forget about that, they already know the danger of driving under the influence but they're just downplaying that
What's crazy is you can tell shes under alot of stress just by her face. Look at her picture from last year and compare that to what she looks like now. She looks like shes literally aged a decade in just a year.
@@somnuswaltz5586 What do you mean? The point is right there in the comment. Are you dense? She has aged 10 years in 1 year. She looks stressed. Is that more clear for you?
Omg that part of the video where they are kissing on the back of the golf-cart 😢 right then drunken Jamie was on her way down the road at 60mph about to crash right into them and they had no idea in that beautiful moment of theirs !
The drunk driving is clearly wrong and irresponsible, but she was speeding 65 MPH in a 25 MPH zone through a narrow street and residential neighborhood, which compounds the seriousness of her acts well beyond having a few too many drinks.
My heart goes out to the family of this Beautiful Bride😢 It was the Happiest day of her life and then her life ends 😢That evil woman that was responsible needs to rot in jail !!!!!!
I would've had sympathy if this was a freak accident or even if she showed a lot of remorse for what happened, but it's neither of that. She is an adult and this was all avoidable if she made at least one good choice that night.
After seeing the prison of blame and hate that father seems stuck in, I’m determined to forgive the people who made my loved one’s life so miserable. You do it for the ones who aren’t around anymore. You owe it to them to be happy
NO FORGIVENESS for such a heinous shattering crime. One of the few that really bothered me. Such a beautiful couple who were just married. The photos of them at the wedding were stunning. She took that all away. Both families are forever shattered. In the old days, she would have been lynched, strung up in the deep South! She got off way too easy!
Jamie has no prior arrests and the punishment is harsh compared to similar cases in SC. A woman's life was lost and that was tragic, however, if they were driving in a car or truck and not a low speed cart, she probably would have survived.
Sending so much love to the beautiful brides family and husband. I hope the bride rests in peace. I hope the woman who decide that it was a good idea to get behind the wheel having alcohol in her system rots in prison.
I wish there's a tech / sensor (probably by analyzing their eyes?) where the vehicle wouldn't drive if it senses that the driver were under the influence or too sleepy
Horrendous crime aside , something needs to be done about jail food. I have noticed so many defendants : Jeffrey Williams, Donna Adelson, Courtney Clenney and many more all gained significant amounts of weight in a relatively short period. I guess it also goes down to boredom . Regarding the crime it is difficult to say if she has real remorse. She certainly didn't at the time and her talk did sound rehearsed and more about her realisation that she is going to be spending a long time in jail than with actual remorse. But who knows? People can change with being in jail for a year. Drunk driving kills. Bar should equal no car unless you intend to drink sodas. If people stuck to that rule many of these tragedies would be avoided. My heart goes out to all the victims.
be out in half that time..pathetic justice she should not be allowed out early and the mother of the bride is another POS suing the husband for money...ambulance chasing mom...pathetic
No, no, no. In that area, the speed limit is 25 mph, and golf carts are allowed to drive on the streets. No shifting blame on this one. This chick was going almost three times the speed limit, and she was drunk.
It wasn’t a golf cart…it was a LSV, perfectly legal & common in that area. Complete with lights, windshield/wipers, break lights etc. What they were driving in had ZERO to do with the accident
A 25 years sentence is way too harsh. A 5 to 8 years sentence seems more reasonable for this case. This is not a first degree murder conviction we're talking about here. Our justice system needs a major overhaul. Hatred is blinding us all in this country. Jesus taught us to forgive, not to hate.
No. She destroyed that entire family's lives and took the life of another because of stupidity and recklessness. If that was your wife would you still think 5 years is "fair"?
Revenge and hatred builts tainted. Human shouldnt think of selfishness which blinds the whole. Killers and purposely violencer gets a day off. Accidents gets 25? Truck fail brake gets 25? Dui gets 25? You not yourself when you drunk. Stop treating drunk people like their not drunk
I dont understand why people forget and downplay the danger of drunk driving, this was just another level of stupidity

This is why I don’t drink and go to bars at all.
12 years now and not one wee drop. I would not be alive today if I still consumed.

her youth is lost to prison ... that's a painful reality too.
100%

So what? Arrange for a spa or massage so she can relax in the prison.

I thought the same. I could not believe only a year has passed! I thought 5 or 6 years went by! She literally looks like a different person!
Is the victim coming back to life in 10-25 years? If not, the sentence is not reflective of the crime.
That is right 💯💯
What do u recommend?

But then again should everyone who drink drives get 25 years ? Maybe

Oh good, she takes FULL responsibility for her actions. Now don't cry over your short sentence.
Her father needs to be locked up for creating a monster
She will never take responsibility for her actions. She deserves life in prison. Prayers for Samantha's family.

Does anyone really believe she's gonna serve the entire 25 year sentence? Highly unlikely.
She wont, she might not even do the 10. Daddy is a millionaire.
Prison for life!
No excuses or apology will undo what she did

We have so many perks and gadgets nowadays. It should be mandatory to have a sensor like you are describing.
Lack of forgiveness. I as a christian man dont see much heart here.

This sentence solves nothing, doesn't matter though. Don't drink and drive has been known a lot longer than don't text and drive.
Only a lame would make such a stupid comment…..
@MH_6160 how does it solve anything? Alcohol consumption is the norm everywhere.
She gets to have way more of a life than the two people she killed.
Should’ve got life in prison
In Canada would’ve gotten a traffic fine
I thought it was 10,25,25
For what she did 25 years is a pathetic sentence it should be life
so unfair... only 25 years
She use to be pretty
Even without drunk they're terrible driver, couldn't imagine the drunk one Sad truth, oust their driving license🤔
False news. I watched live and she got 15 years
It’s not false. The sentences will run concurrently and she may be up for parole in approximately 15 years.
Its longer than 25 years
Where did you get that information from? They said 10 and 25 years concurrently.
You was to harsh on her I know she was rong but you was rong with the decision
But why would you drive a golf cart on road where cars are? Sounds like the drunk driver isn’t the only one whose at fault whee
