Never expect to love this drama that I am watching it a second time. Didn't intend to watch it initially, but the choice of the male female lead make me took a second look as they don't have the usual stereotype look for this genre. The ruggedly raw looking hero and the classy modern looking heroine .....hmm okay, Zhang Zhen and NiNi had me convinced. Really worth the time watching this. I'll be checking out on Zhang Zhen's and Nini's other works. Impressed with the whole production, much improvement compared to Ten miles peach blossom. I keep having the urge to watch it on bigger screen.
i've watched the ep 1. and i like it. the main actor is not so old, just fit with his character. if the producer team use a younger actor, i don't think i will like it as much as i do now 😂
And can we just say there is something to be said about older, sexy men? I mean, sure...he's not the classic handsome guy ...but Dizzy is right...the guy is the God of War and he has that rugged "don't mess with me..." look going on. So far, this series looks good...

I prefer watching a drama series with good quality rather than watch it just because of the looks of the character. I have tons of drama drop already with pretty boy lead but the story itself is a no to me. The ml here is not that handsome but for me he is manly enough to be the God of War.after finishing the story i can say the story and chemistry is superior. 以前看十里桃花觉得赵又廷的演技很好了，战神这角色很难超越。看了这部剧，才发现张震更适合战神这个角色，比起张震的战神，墨渊实在有些弱了，而且太柔了，在张震的脸上我看到了，坚毅，刚硬，冷酷。
