I would have thought, when you test the boost. You would actually be letting it get up into the rev range a bit more then what, he was. I get about 90km out of my 2 gear. But then again, its a unregistered car in a housing estate to.
The paint mark your Covering with the pods is from installing the pods incorrectly 😂🤙🤙

Its a series 1. Series 2 only came out as "series 1.5" (Series 2 body with Series 1 engine) in mid 1996, with full series 2 in late 1996. Also that interior is Series 1, as is the hood & headlights.
Get some double sided foam tape for those pods and just stick them on.
The indicators definately shouldn't be going that quick so seems like some sort of short.
With the wheels you'll probably want to go staggered. I have 18x9.5 +20 and I need 20mm spacers on the front and I still get rub with the arms and inside of the rim.
The multiple t10 bulbs that are in the middle console thing are for the lights behind the speedo. When you turn the lights on your speedo is supposed to light up
i love watching this because its super relatable sorta thing like its not some dude like adam lz buying a 10k car then putting 20k worth of mods into it on the first week if you know what i mean lmao, anyways love the content!
I imported one of these back in 2005. Had 35k kms and was practically still new. Sold it at 185k km's and was showing no signs of letting up. Great car.
Series 1 have no air bags
Series 1.5 have just the drivers air bag
Series 2 have passenger and drivers airbag
I’m thinking it’s a series 1.5 with that wing, could be a spec M which would of had the cooler front bar from factory.

For the record I have had a turbo boost t on my r34 for 18yrs and no problems, get it dynoed and lack of fuel issues,so hang on to it for later you might want it.

Issue with running higher boost with a bleed valve isn't with the turbo, the issue is with the fuelling. Not enough fuel with too much air = engine failure. I'd more say issue with a boost tee is fuel potential and stock tune. Just not healthy
very true, needs atleast a wideband to keep it above 11.7/1 afr, hell probably be ok upto 12 psi tbh, they run rich stock a little

You likely have an LED 'bulb' in each side, or no working bulbs installed at all (ie a blown one), which causes it to blink fast when left or right is selected. The reduced resistance of an LED compared to a standard bulb messes with the blinker relay, hence the fast speed. You see normal speed with your hazards, as across all 4 bulbs (mix of standard and LED), there is enough resistance in the circuit for the flasher relay to operate normally

Now you need to do a full fluid change. Run an upper engine clean too.
Also get your vin number and put it into gtr registry website and it’ll tell you a lot of info on your car when it was made what factory colour it is and what series it is and a few more things
No reverse lights work, middle brake light don't or the left brake light
From listening to it run you should check the IAC valve wiring and give it a clean. Its at the rear left of the head with 2 vacuum lines running into it, and easily unbolts.
Unregistered bald tyres and no manual license probably not something I’d be putting online
First mod I do to every car even if they aren't mine is install a stereo hearing you get excited about the Bluetooth headunit is great 😂🤟
Good work Zac. Definitely worth changing the gearbox fluid. It still changes with out a clunk with Lil to no grind. Even low or incorrect oil. Fingers crossed.
Love the sound of the rb20 and rb25 over the rb26 to be honest . Always been a fan of skylines. Hopefully get one as a second car or weekender one day.
ive owned nissans, its going quick to let u know a blinker bulb was out, itll speed up when u change it again, its a damn nice 33 for 3k man, awesome buy, cant wait to see this fixed up maybe modded a little

first thing i did to my r33 gtst was replace the spoiler with a GT-R wing makes the car soo much better looking

Running only stock waste-gate will give only is 5psi. Won’t go any higher.
Full zorst can give bit more.
You need the stock boost solenoid, gives 7psi. In two stages.
ECU should run fine to 10psi before needing better plugs and gapped etc. map might go rich too

Cool car, absolute steal for 3k. Hate to be that guy but a bunch of what you said in this vid is a bit unfounded, there's nothing wrong with a boost tee to up the boost a bit. 12psi on stock turbo, stock ecu, stock fuel system is fine (although 15psi is pushing it). Its been proven a number of times. If you're suffering misfires at the higher boost, you need new spark plugs or to reduce the plug gap, or your coilpacks are on the way out.
Its definitely S1 with S2 bumper. It has S1 interior, and S1 rear "skyline" strip
All of them globes u found the t10s are from the gadge cluster so might won't to check the working lights are working
with the pod filter it needs to have box around it unless you like the cop call
Unregistered ripping the streets on an auto license, I think there are bigger things than a pod box.
No need to box the filter in Queensland, just needs to be securely mounted

The Blinking fast will be the wrong flasher can or most likely wrong wattage globe, Also try a test light. good investment and cheap
The tray/cubby under the stereo with the doors are kinda rare
More rare if it’s got the soft inside

also youre fine to run 10-12psi on the stock tune and turbo.
Series 1 was in production from 93 too 95 and series two from 96 too like 98 and in the series two they did introduce a passenger airbag.. I believe so haha

I have no idea about skylines, but did the Series 1 use higher wattage P21 indicator globes? If so it may be flashing fast because those little T10 globes in the Series 2 bar aren't drawing enough power. Some dummy resistors may fix it, same deal as when people put LED globes in. Either that or the flasher module may be the wrong type (for a car with P21 globes front and rear).
hey zac, don't trust the boost gauge in the dash, it is highly inaccurate. I'm running 14 psi on mine and the dash is so far off.
also yours is a series 1, with a series 2 front bar.

Hey mate, the answer to your question about your skyline regarding if its either a series 1 or series 2. You have a R33 GTST series 1.5 which is a series 1 body with a series 2 RB25DET in them from factor. (;

@@pandacoupe hi mate. a series 1 rb25det will run a coil pack ignitor unit at the back of the rocker covers where series 2 rb25det doesn't have the ignitor on the rocker covers.

9.5+15 is fine on an r33. Need camber arms.
if you need to camber the wheels to make it 'fit', then it's not fine.
Also it’s a series 1 interior
You can tell by the smooth dash surround and The velour seats
Also a good indication is that the center rear garnish is the clear skyline garnish and not painted
It looks like it has been changed front bar and wing as they are series 2
Also check if it has a seperate igniter on the top rear of the engine there will be a little box if it is a series 1 as series 2 has the igniter in built in the coil pack
R33 tail light are always really dull that they people buy the led tail lights
