- I did not condone nor ask for the footage to be made. However, it had come to my attention after the fact that it was filmed. This was made to help preserve the memory of the arlington racecourse.

It’s strange knowing about the economic workings of a state that’s eventually going to collapse soon. They act like everything’s fine.
That's the trick. If we all knew the truth, we would panic and commit a self fulfilling prophesy
Well at least the money was worth you paying for some one else to film it 😊
Allowed in? What sort of urban explorer is he? Get in there man.
"Last known footage."
After all that trouble, they filmed vertically? Buncha amateurs!
Welp...... We take what we can get 😢
Yeah, hope some of that money was used for some videography training.
Hell, I'd give him that lesson for free...
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
I was gonna make the same comment..
But, 🤷♂️ya beat me to it..
Definitely one of the most underrated channels I watch, you never fail to bring good content. Keep it up!
I remember going there with my parents to watch the races
you guys must be from like eastern IL or something?... a lot of cool spots u guys look at.. im in midwest IL so all these sites are pretty close to me... cool as f*ck
Cool video
You and The Proper People are the best
Nice. Awesome dudes 🎉😊😊🎉
I use to haul horse's into that race and there was a tunnel from the stable office to to the main building for the horse owner so they didn't have to deal the public.
You should go to the Balmoral horseracetrack
❤ that's right brother never take no for a answer 👍🏽 this was an awesome feature and well worth my time to watch ✨🏆✨ my new favorite channel 😅✌🏽
Even though I'm a standardbred race owner, and not tb, it's said to see tracks closing.
I like how he said he didnt go explore but he had someone do it for him. One of the guys who was exploring sure did look like him!
Guy thinks paying someone else to trespass absolved him of any crime 😂
Congrats on 200k, been loving the new videos
Omg I grew up there we owned a race horse and I knew the owner he was such a sweet man
Let's go, Stringer Media!
Just found your channel at the end of last week, but I've been binging. Really been enjoying what you have.
I appreciate that you were respectful and tried to do things with permission. I know you wouldn't have broken anything or taken anything either way, but mad respect to you for trying and still getting us some footage.
It really is a shame when iconic places like this get turned to dust. Especially ones that hold such great memories for people. My experience was of the Kingdome in Seattle. Now the old footage and pictures are all that's left (along with the people who decided to keep a chunk of it).
Sort of bitter sweet in a way. Same kind of feeling I get doing or watching any urbex. There's beauty in decay. But what is decaying once was important to someone.
I think that's another big difference I see in urbex from here in the USA vs. urbex from, say, Europe, for example. I don't generally tend to notice the explorers saying "Yep, this thing is going to be demolished/torn down" so much as "this thing is going to cave in with the next big storm". So in a number of instances what you're showing us is literally IT before the dozers come. Recording that final moment.
Thank you for your time and energy in making these. I can't wait to see where you show us next.
Same here!! Found it about 2 weeks ago and been non stop watching. I love abandoned stuff
I been there some time in the 2010s and I still have a guide on this place
Love your videos 👍
Thanks for this video
I was thinking of buying some benches from this place for my garden but seemed overpriced from the auction
Would have loved to check out the inside before it went down
On March 11, 2024, the Bears announced that the team had decided to commit $2 billion to build a new stadium in Chicago, leaving the future of the Arlington Park property uncertain. The Bears had run into issues concerning the value of the Arlington Park land, which had been contested by the local school districts in Arlington Heights.
Temple Lipizzan Farm also closed, stopped giving performances, and they sold off all their beautiful, white Lipizzan horses. So sad!
I'm still pissed off about Churchills Down company closing this and selling it to the Bears who flip flop on where they will move due to tax breaks and who will cover the costs of their stadium to watch a team go 6-11. This track was one of the better summer meets in the sports. It usually had good crowds, fun events for everyone like food trucks to family events, etc. Yet Churchill and Bears shat on it for a stadium that may not happen.
Sadly Churchill Downs has been doing this crap for a while. They sold Hollywood Park where the Rams play now in LA. They sold Calder Park in FL. The only tracks they seem to care about that they still own are Churchill and Fair Grounds in New Orleans. It's a real shame. Especially the history of the Arlington Million and how the track was a great summer event. Even the video shows how the track wasn't in poor shape by any means. Now it's all gone for potentially nothing in the end.
I use to go there for a lot of event. Neighborhood parties, friends birthdays, but one I remember the most was doing a summer camp for the families that worked for the race track.
Think it was called 'Kids on Track'. It was a program that for the families on the backstretch lived and we teach the kids about the community or different programs. To be fair - I had 0 clue how many kids lived there.
Horse racing killed itself over the past few years. They ran races when the tracks weren't safe (wet from rain, etc..), resulting in higher, much higher than usual, injury and horse death. And it was om display for all to see. Profits were more important that animal welfare. And now horse racing will never be what it was... very sad
Security guards don't make that much money. You ever heard of bribery tips? 50 bucks and you could have gotten all the video footage you needed.
Remember when the original place burned, ash was on my car, i lived several miles away.
My GF att lived a little over a mile from this place. we used to walk there tto bet on a few races. What a shame, it was brand new and very nice inside.
Bro can you find any places close to wheeling il also there some place behind freindship park in wheeling I think it was an abandoned college/bank from what I heard
Back in the late seventies and early eighties Dad and I would go there at least once every summer. He'd let me bet on one horse in one race. I never won. But it was a fun day out with the old man. I was old enough to drive the last three or four times we went.
Im sorry but what was the point of this video outside of showing your friends breaking and entering?
You're in ORD airspace. What height did you fly?
The most boring job in the world is being hired to waste your day babysitting this ghost town.
When are you gonna re jump the lawn mower you found in the old garage, do you still have it, will you please do it again thanks for reading my question if you did please if you can launch it again, I laughed at all the vids you made about it and I want to see it again 😊
Its been scrapped.. There will be more!
How can I share more abandoned locations with you?
It's a beautiful racetrack & pavilion.
harness racing in the 70s is what I remember about this track
Dont have any memories there, but its still cool to see nonetheless.
I get in like 1 or 2 years ago and almost got Caught
So on camera you are admittedly saying you paid yourself under alias thousands of dollars to commit tax fraud while breaking and entering .so you could film a condemed structure in the city limits of chicago with out a filming permit? Is that what your saying ?
No?
Was dope to bet on horses there a couple years ago
If u ever need someone for some side work ya know
Why are they demolishing all of this stuff? So are we saying “they’re” erasing this as history because horses are going extinct or I guess I am lost on the subject why? Not just here but in your videos these places are taken by the “Greedy People” that can’t seem to have enough ever. Why are they erasing all of this stuff, what is their end goal here?
When I say greedy people I speak of the G$V folks and I want to make that very clear!
Probably going to build 15 min.cities or a camp for illegals.
Crazy, my family used to go all the time when I was little. Back in the 2000s, GM hosted test drive events in the parking lot, those were fun.
Once Illinois started handing out casino licenses like candy, that was the final nail in the coffin for this place. Why bet on horses at the track when you can play video poker at the local watering hole? Next time someone tells you you're not allowed to explore, just go ahead and do it. I've seen your videos, that doesn't stop you.
I think your videos are the best keep up the good work. You are very handsome guy I'm using my friend phone
Wow it's beautiful you can imagine all the rich 🤑 people watching and Sharing food and wine 🍷🎉
🤦🏾♂️This Guy 🤌🏾👑🤝✨
Incredible! Well done. A valuable contribution to preserving the historical record!!
Let me go with you sometimes
I've been there a bunch
I wonder if our local track is still standing. It'll be a casino complex soon if it's not gone.
👍
Great job!
"abandoned"
Really enjoyed the video. Very beautiful place.
And when the horses would break there legs the white sheet would come out and you would here the gun shot
looks like a nice place for a new stadium
So glad you did this!
great vidi, love your work. btw, Churchill Downs is the location of the Kentucky Derby, not an individual. I thought i heard you say that "he" was the previous owner.
Those security guards just got fired.😂
Beautiful place! I think Horse racing in general is on its way out.. so many scandals about how the horses are drugged for performance and how they are often fatally injured because of other factors.. still an interesting piece of history!
No it's all these little pc snowflakes
As a standardbred horse owner, even tho this was a tb track, horses and their drivers are drug tested. Well the driver just alcohol. We love our horses, and not just a job
Animal Cruelty, at its finest. Upper Class!
