I absolutely love this design
They seem like good jackets. I have both black and tan Filson short lined cruiser so no need to try anything else really, but they do seem a bit warmer and form fitting. Glad to see the support for your channel! Keep it up. That Filson lined wool cape coat has got my attention!
Both look very good on you! Thanks for the excellent reviews.
I really do enjoy watching your fucking videos.
I wish they had the wool lined in Havana. I have more expensive jackets but I always reach for my flint and tinder stuff for regular day to day stuff.
You're dope dude, keep it up man
i have the flannel lined one in light grey. 2xl which is my usual size and i found it to be more relaxed of a fit than most of my heritage gear. it seems best suited for fall or spring so i would probably wear a waffle henley or thermal henley beneath it.
Any recommendation for thermal Henley brands? I'm not even looking for pure/soft wool necessairly. I'll gladly go for an acrylic or even a coarser wool, because I just do not do well in a turtleneck. All the Henleys I can find are cotton.
These are great jackets for the price, I recently bought the wool version after finding out Filson doesn’t make their Tin Cloth Short Lined Cruiser domestically anymore. I’d rather have a blended lining then something manufactured in overseas (I think Filson uses Vietnam). After mine broke in the pull in the back got better.
Next jacket is going to be a Ship John Wills, the upside of the wait is that I have time to save up for it.
Good fucking review.
Iron Resin makes a similar jacket that looks pretty nice
Try the Heat Straps field jacket, it’s a tough nut to beat, replaced my Filson Tin cloth with it. Damn fantastic work jacket.
Thanks for the review. Do you have a sense of how cold each would be rated for? Would each of the two versions keep you warm to a particular temperature? I didn't see that on the website. Thanks.
Love - and have - many Filson items. However, they seem more recently to be phasing out many previously USA items - like their similar Tin cloth jacket. Bad move - I would probably go with this one next time.
I have a black medium Mac cruiser. It’s a little snug. Do you know of anyone that would have a large to trade me? Mine is in great condition other then I’m a timber cutter so it has saw dust in the wool that needs cleaned out.
Best fucking video review of the Flint & Tinder Waxed Trucker Jacket.
Thanks for the review. Would you say the wool version is much warmer than the blanket lined version? Thanks
Does the wool seem a bit bigger than the flannel? Thank you.
Please give a update when you can, i was thinking of getting one but it won't be a fashion statement for me. I want it to work in
Any idea what cold temp is the flannel comfortable until? and what warm temp is the wool comfortable until?
I have been wearing Filson tin cloth since the late 90s. I cut timber. When it’s time to wash I button mine up lay it flat on the driveway and power wash it with hot water. Flip it over and do the back. Then I open it up and see where water got thru. Typically it doesn’t except where it gets inside cuffs or neck. But if it does I wax the spot that water got thru. I have found this to be the best way. I never smear wax all over them. I’m trying to stay dry not look like a hipster in an over waxed jacket. Love the vids
@@thecrazyslopoke exactly I have 160gal or twin 80 gal tanks. Outdoor hookups on 3 sides of my house.
@@Jamestreeman oh nice. That'd be convenient to have a hot water line outside.
If you had to pick one which would you choose?
Do you think the flannel version is lighter than the wool lined version?
I got the flannel lined and it's my favorite thing I own. I wish it was a heavy cotton flannel lined though 😔
XL is the correct size for me and the armpit area is also tight for me if I’m in those positions as well
That's a nice fucking video.
Nice review, the pull in the back is a no go for me
Forest is a nice color.
Did you size up ?
What’s your normal shirt size ?
Flannel looks more relaxed.
Great ending 😂😂😂
What gloves are those?
I knew this was the review I was looking for the second the music started
For anybody else who’s struggling deciding which size to order:-I’m 5’10 & 210lbs-the XL is a perfect fit.
What’s your chest circumference? If you don’t mind me asking. I’m 5’8 200lb at 43inch and I’m on the fence of large or extra Not really wanting something overly tight
@@christianzuniga1702 45”-you’d probably be ok with a large but if you’re layering I’d recommend XL. They definitely run small.
For the price that's a good jacket and it's made in USA
Thanks for watching my fu#$&ng video.
Anyone else freaked out by the fact that he’s using the edge of his blade on a ferro rod?
Is there an option for wool lining? Didn't see that on their site
It's a wool blend but it's a separate product. I think it's called the wool lined trucker I stead of flannel lined trucker.
RIP bro you’ll be missed
@@terrylovell_video_editoryes he got Ecoli from not washing his beard unfortunately.
Synthetics have their places. In someone else’s closet.
This hurts. So trying to find a person that doesn’t just read off a phone.
Man ive been wanting a flannel lined one for a while but im 5ft10 220-230 lbs with really broad shoulders. I was thinking of getting an xl but now it looks like id need an xxl, i dont want all the baggyness everywhere else. Damn i really wanted this jacket
I have finally found a youtuber who not only makes great videos of clothes I am interested in buying, but is the exact height, weight and measurements as me! Just bought my trucker jacket at the start of this month, the large definitely fits better than the medium for layering. Keep up the great work, dude
