yes maintenance is key ! I've been trying to grow my hair back out but its dyed and layered so in order to avoid the split or dry ends, i have to get frequent trims /: but the healthier the better and it will avoid breakage from spreading upwards

I think the extensions cut to your natural length would be beautiful! You’d still have the thickness but shorter!
