This is exactly what I was looking for , a video where somebody explains the show but in more depth of each transaction. Thank you so much for posting this , loved it !
I dont think the shows fake. Just a little tweaking for a ‘show’ . Met someone who was part of a reality show. No script but they have to schedule, plan, make some things look entertaining etc I enjoyed it and nothing negative to you too i think youre great 👌
i think they all did the paperwork and numbers behind the scene, if they want to film a whole transaction from beginning to ending it would take more than 20 minutes and 7 episode, selling sunset is more the drama, nice houses and fashion. they are a real estate brokerage according to their own websites if it was really like you said it is, the agency would fail in the first year. and all the events for open houses think that just for show, and because its a netflix production they have assurance,..if you want to learn how to be a real estate agent this is not the show to do that, you just go for your license and do an internship. only reason they call it reality show its because its not played by prof actors but by people who are doing this job in real life, they just show the drama. and that sells.
Please please please continue to do these kinds of videos. I enjoyed how you broke things down. It seems to me that the only thing that was done wrong was the Equal Housing symbol. Other than that, your analysis is more about how you would of done differently, but you also give us an in-depth information. Like the liability for botox and burgers at the showing.
Solar panels: live in cali & I purchased them so no lease. They do show info but cut it out for edits. I’ve known about this group for decades. They have been around LA. I will say there are people in LA are like this
Hi dear. Millionaire don't care about roof warranties as much as saving 15k plus on a huge house like this on energy bills. Solar has been a major thing and is now mandated by the State for new construction and major renovations, which is what developers do. I am a contractor and I've had several clients buy 200k in solar off the bat when doing large renovations. Finally in this bracket people do not LEASE solar. They own it. It's the middle class that leases solar. Sorry but you're off.
@@oreoreo1534 Yeah, also Louisiana has a vastly different climate than LA. It's sunny virtually all year round in LA and requires a lot of air-conditioning. Also I agree with OP, if someone is dropping 6 million on a home, I doubt they care than much about an extra 150k
Actually the “buyer” with Kristine (guy with the beard) is actually her fiancé. He has wealthy friends so that’s why she took him to see the 75M home. This is one of the more scripted “reality” shows.
I had never heard of this program, but it could not possibly have been as amusing as Kristina reacting to it! Botox??? Allergic anaphylactic reaction. EMTs and death house, would not, I would think, enhance the value. But I’m not a professional.....
Million dollar beach house just came out on Netflix set in the south hamptons featuring agents from Nest Seekers international. Let’s see a reaction on that (especially the overpriced $35 mil house)
I’m literally watching this rn and have no prior knowledge to real estate at all. But I instantly knew he was wrong for pricing that house at 35 million! Like that just made no sense at all.
Once there was a show "Weird Homes." (Clips are still on the internet.) Have you been asked to list a weird home? If so, how did you handle the request?
I have done one on nightmare homes ua-cam.com/video/A7cpyN6CGhc/v-deo.html for sale but not one a specific show called weird homes. What network was that show on?
These thoughts are definitely state specific. You might want to study up on other states… I only watched about 2 minutes but where I am you do not have to have the equal housing opportunity symbol (never even heard of that) and you are 100% allowed to have solar panels as long as your house was built after 1980. The HOA even has to allow them… now if we want to talk about davina supposedly having a broker and real estate license or the newest season where Chelsea supposedly worked under herself and no broker, those are more national things I think don’t make sense anywhere
I like the professional commentary, but should be taken lightly. I can’t imagine the show would film the entire transaction since that wouldn’t be as entertaining for a reality show. For all we know they already did their due diligence off camera and then filmed small segments of the transaction such as discussing numbers and the buyer/seller expectation on camera only.
Wait but the guy with the solar panels if I am correct owns a solar panel company I think he says in the show 🤔 so I don't think he leasing those panels now if he sells it he can give it included in price or might lease it to the buyer.
What does a real estate person actually do that entitles them to a 150k commission from someone's house . From the programmes it looks like they don't actually do much , walk ppl around a luxury mansion telling them a bit about the house then when it sells they get over 100k commission . Would the seller not be better getting a professional in to evaluate the cost of the house and marketing it themselves. A luxury mansion it's gonna generate intrest and sell itself if the price is right.
Surely these people who have unrelistic asking prices just need to wait 10 years until the property value goes up and then they will get your price. So from that perspective it might be worth having an unsellable listing.
Shows like these perpetuate the worst myths about SoCal (over the top and full of cosmetic enhancements). This represents an extremely small portion of the population.
marnie b I would love a show of what SoCal is really like. The parts I didn’t add with the chit chat between people was kinda gross. Made me glad I wasn’t from there. What is it actually like?
Kristina Smallhorn it’s actually quite diverse. I grew up in a conservative smaller city about 80 miles east of Los Angeles - I moved to La as an adult. Films and tv shows either show the rough and tumble “hood” side of La or the “ultra bougie” side. I have seen a few celebs in my time, but I never was star struck. People who behave over the top are the people who need to be seen - and I won’t lie, they’re liberally sprinkled in parts of Beverly Hills or the west San Fernando Valley, and parts of Orange County. People watch shows like these and often make blanket statements about us Californians - but we ain’t all the same lol 😂
marnie b I totally understand. People have the same blanket perceptions of the people in Louisiana too. I promise we don’t all eat alligator every day or go to school on pontoon boats.🤣😂🤣
When she asks how much did you pay for your house you can look that up on tax records and what he paid really is irrelevant depending on where the market is today.
75 mil for a house lol . Ok let’s just stop there and slap the guy who won’t tell any one how much he bought it for . Also mr big licks in his solar house that costs him $22 per month for electric well buddy it costs me nothing for electricity . So best thst lanky legs . But I do live in a van . Then the realtor have open houses for people to come and look, when your there the realtor will ask how interested you are and if you are, you give them your name and number. 24 hours after the open house, the bidding war begins. So if someone gives a bid, the realtor send SMS to all the interested people and let them know, then you can bid higher by sending SMS and so it keeps on going until someone have the highest bid and gets the house. Together with your bid you write and say you give 15-30 minutes for the other bidder to go higher then you. If no one do, bidding close and the realtor contact the seller to ask if they accept. As long as the price is on or over asking price you get the house. You can also ask for private showing if your unavailable on the day of the open house, guess that is same same.

Ya I agree I definitely wouldn’t watch the show if most of the time it was them signing papers and actually calculating and going over their numbers.
@@oneatatime3256 indeed exactly that would be quit boring then if it was just 9 to 5 office paper work

Who wants to see the paperwork side of things? It's not a teaching video.
You don’t sell in California, so some of the things you said might not apply in CA.
That 75M house part was ridiculous 😄 did he get stones from Mars to build it? Lol
Totally loved your review and professional opinion. It was really helpful.
Really valuable information regarding solar. I am going to be buying in the next 4-9 months and I learned something important from you today!
Thank you for watching, I’m glad you got something that can’t help you.
Also, solar panels aren't as "green" as we are led to believe. They will be outdated in 30 years and will add a huge amount to landfills

It's a reality show, more about drama and entertainment, but I did enjoy the facts and your video
The solar panel info you shared is wrong . You can also buy them not just rent them . And you only pay your monthly electric bills if there any.

What about some comedians homes are they over priced ,are they whimsical. Let me know thanks far sharing
Have you seen any shows with comedians homes? or videos? I can react to those and break it down in the transaction.
