As I write, my mother's funeral is taking place 15000km from where I live. She was French, an admirer of Racine, and a devout Roman Catholic. She also told me that the best years of her life were in a Dutch convent school before WWII. I dedicate this Dutch performance to her.
May she know the peace that surpasses all understanding.

Well this sole proves the universal value and le signifie de la musique. We did it with my choir here in town some years ago, and mom _ almost as far as yours was, is certainly an inbred roman catholic, jepp shes still with us...Now I know she have to like this piece a lots! This is exactly the music I'd be listening to if l were unable to attend a funeral of a loved one, mother especially. Did you mean to say your mother was an admirer of Racine or Faure because l don't know how a French person couldn't adore Faure, a beautiful and incredibly blessed man!

Très belle version !Pas évident de chanter en français et je trouve qu'il y a un peu trop de vibrato chez les ténors et les basses Le rythme et la justesse sont au rendez-vous ;) Vous pouvez aussi écouter cette version avec voix d''enfants :)

Very difficult to sing well. This is a fine rendering.

Love this music but the pictures are of Liverpool Cathedral not the Concertgebouw but that does not matter
The images are neither of Liverpool Cathedral nor that of the Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King.
The building is of red sandstone like the Anglican Cathedral in Liverpool but there the similarity ends.
