It definitely was a time and paint saver on MDF as well as helped yield a good end result that I was concerned about on the side I cut. Thanks for watching! 👍
definitely a unique shelf. I love how you attack a project from start to finish. So much attention to detail. Awesome results for sure - especially making your daughter happy! Father of the year award! 👍🏼
Thank you, you and me both! She does love it and lol I will say it’s grown on me as well. I spent a little more time to have a template for future drippy shelfs. 👍
Thank you, I appreciate it! I feel like a big kid with the laser lol and you’re right it definitely opens up a whole new world. It was handy for sure around Christmas time! 👍
Thank you, I’ll definitely be using this for painting MDF in the future. It saved on a lot of time and labor and didn’t need near as many coats for a better end result.
Personally, I would hand sand in between the drips. Definitely more time-consuming, but sometimes hand sanding gets the best result. Shelf turned out really nice!
Thank you, I agree with hand sanding in certain applications. You have more control with hand sanding as well. Doing it again I would use a router with the template I built and a light hand sand would be all that’s needed. 👍
Thank you sir, I appreciate it. Lol I first thought sure a shelf is simple, but then was told it was a drippy shelf. I have the templates for future ones. 👍
Sooo cool! This would definitely be popular for young girls or teens! If you made the drips more like flames you could paint it like fire too! So many ideas! Nice #frenchcleat

This first time I have heard of "sanding sealer". I need to read up on it as it looks to be a time and paint($) saver. Thanks.

Thank you, I really appreciate that. Seeing a smile on my daughter’s face made it 100% worth it!
Great build Dan, I can’t say I’ve ever seen a drippy shelf, til now.
