The saddest part is that if you think about it kaori really did love him. Using the last of her time on earth, to try and help him. Even tho she knew her time was almost up. She knew she was going to go. But she also knew that she wanted to help heal Kosei from the past. But had to keep a more distant relationship with him. To avoid him feeling more pain than she wanted him to after her death.Koari didn’t want to hurt him. She didn’t want to them to fall in love only for her to die. So she said to she like kosei’s friend. So kosei couldn’t get close to her because she’s my friends girlfriend. So that she remained close enough to her that she could heal her and not feel that much pain. But still close enough.
The fact that she cared enough to spend the last time of her life on this earth to help him shows that she truly did love him.

i wouldn't say it's the best because it was kinda predictable but the letter scene was beautiful. didn't cry but was kinda heart-wrenching. recommend watching the movie I want to eat your pancreas if you liked this. gives similar vibes.

While I was watching this I was thinking, how hard must it be for Kousai, he has her in his memeories and will never let her out of his memeories, but while you think of those moments he had with her, he knows he can never see her again and this brings tearts to my eyes thinking about it! No why do I do this to myself!?!? But anyway I feel you.
SnowPlaysHQ in the beggining I thought it was gonna be an anime with a little romance and instruments but then we found out she was gonna die soon and I was like 😰 she said she might survive the surgery but they said during arimas performance she died and then she wrote a letter to him and I started tearing up 😔

When Kaori accepted the surgery having the hope of getting alright and she didn't wake up, broke my heart at that point...
At least she died happy, it’s better then dying sad! Am I wrong or right? Those last moments she spent with him she was glad, she was happy! So we gotta think positive this anime isn’t at all sad, it shows happiness inside of it. :)

I’m not one to normally comment on UA-cam videos. And this being 2 years ago, I doubt you’ll see it. But I must tell you, this amv is absolutely wonderful. It’s a masterpiece along with the show. You took the emotion from the show and stirred it up into a wonderful mixture of happy sadness to create the most heart breaking, yet heart warming amv I’ve seen in my days. You deserve more subscribers, and I’m glad someone with as much talent as you created such a video for me to lay eyes on.

I just finished this anime for the first time, and i cried like I haven’t in years. Beautiful, I like to think that Kaori knew that Kousei was in love with her, but chose to keep her feelings a secret to not hurt him too much when she did pass away. Their relationship and all the scenes that they shared were great. It’s such a sad, but hopeful ending, and she taught him so much. She will always live on in his heart and in the hearts of all that met her and heard her play.

I still remember the first time I saw the anime cover that had a music theme, because at that time I was purely looking for an anime with a music genre, And because I don't want to be exposed to spoilers, I didn't read the synopsis first, I didn't even see what genres were contained in this anime. When I watched it, it turned out to have a very sad and short love story But it leaves a deep imprint on the hearts of anyone who watches this sad love story.
I don't have any regret at all watching this anime. Worth it.

It hits me harder since i relate to Kousei so much. And when i watched this anime, it hit harder since I'm a multi musician piano being my main one. Its just- this is another anime i hold close to my heart.
When Kaori died I was sad for about 3 days especially that letter she wrote to him and how she still begged him to not let her die. I'm crying just thinking about it😭😢
