It is unlikely that vision (chazown) in Isaiah 1 is speaking of end-times but is speaking primarily to the literal inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem during the reigns of the kings of Judah as evidenced in the first verse. Nevertheless, the message is still applicable to God's people in any time. This is especially true of verses 16-20, i.e come let's reason together....obey and be blessed, rebel and you will be judged.

Got most of this chapter done; good one and makes sense. Just struggle with chapter 9. Understand that the Daily was restored but 1844 was a new beginning I think where Jesus entered the Most Holy Place. Taking a break from it for now.

Although I am not very knowledgeable in history , I have thought verses 37-45 in Daniel 11 were meant for the ottoman empire, as in verse 37 it mentions women humiliation and in verses 38,39 talking about a new god , i believe it's the new religion, the islam. Palestine is a term widely used. A common name given to that area of land. The name goes back to the Greeks when the western nations called the whole land after the Philistines, who occupied part of the costal regions. The Bible uses the term Philistia in Ex 15:14, Ps 60:8; 83:7; 87:4; 108:9, Isaiah 14:29, 31; Joel 3:4. It is also considered the land of Canaan in the OT, but that land doesn't encompass of all the land that was considered to be Palestine.
What does this mean? “He shall also enter the Glorious Land, and many countries shall be overthrown; but these shall escape from his hand: Edom, Moab, and the prominent people of Ammon.” Daniel 11:41 NKJV Or this: ““Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.” Matthew 24:15-16 NKJV

Thanks for your feedback and question! Cleopatra does not appear until Daniel 11:17 and later in 11:25. The king of the South in Daniel 11:6 is Ptolemy II Philadelphus. His daughter was named Bernice. The king of the north is Antiochus II Theos and was married to Laodice. To form the alliance, Antiochus II divorced his wife Laodice and married Bernice. However, Laodice would later murder Antiochus II and Bernice. (We’ll cover all the details and explain why for each verse in the Daniel 11 study guide. Thanks for watching our videos!....and great question! The answer is that it was deduced from the text of the Bible and the framework of the 70-year Babylonian captivity. The history of Darius the Mede is currently unknown today (at the time of this writing). Some posit that he might have been Gobryas (a general who led the Medo-Persian army against Babylon), others believe him to be Cyrus the Great. Notwithstanding the difficulty of making a positive identity of Darius, let’s examine how we conclude that his rule was from 539-536 B.C. The following is a short explanation.
First, we need to acknowledge the framework of the 70-year captivity. Daniel was taken captive to Babylon in the fall of 605 B.C. This means that the 70-year captivity would end in the year from 536-535 B.C. The year (536-535 B.C.) would be the “70th” year. This is also the first year of Cyrus the king. See Ezra 1:1-4 (Cyrus’ decree to rebuild the temple). In addition, this is also the year that Daniels’ life ends. See Daniel 1:21. Notice in Daniel 1:21 it says that “Daniel continued until the first year of Cyrus”. Hold on to that point. We’ll come back to it. Let’s examine Daniel 5:31. Daniel 5:31 (NASB) So Darius the Mede received the kingdom at about the age of sixty-two. We know that the transition of the kingdom from Babylon to Medo-Persia occurred at the Battle of Opus, Oct 12, 539 B.C. It was on this night that Darius the Mede receives the kingdom. However, the fall of 539 B.C. is Darius’ ascension year. That is, his first full year of reign would not start until the spring or possible the fall of the following year. See time line below. However, we must compare a few more scriptures. Compare Daniel 1:21 with Daniel 10:1. In Daniel 10:1 it says the “the third year of Cyrus”. That’s interesting. Daniel’s life is not ended yet, despite the fact that it says “the third year of Cyrus”. However, if we examine the text of the Septuagint (LXX), i.e., the Greek translation of the OT, Daniel 10:1 says “the first year of Cyrus”. With this, we can correlate that the “third year of Cyrus” is the same as “the first year of Cyrus”. This is an indication that he is likely in a co-regency with Darius for at least two years. The third year of Cyrus’ reign is also his first year of his sole rulership. Why is that? Darius advanced age of sixty-two is probably the principal factor in his brief two year reign. Let’s look at the timeline. Fall of 539 B.C. Darius receives the kingdom (ascension year) (Oct 12th Battle of Opus) Fall 538-537 B.C. 1st year of Darius (also 1st year of co-regency with Cyrus) Fall 537-536 B.C. 2nd year of Darius (also 2nd year of co-regency with Cyrus) Fall 536-535 B.C. 1st year of Cyrus’ sole rulership (also this is his 3rd of rulership, the first two were co-regent with Darius) With no historical sources on the exact dates of the reign of Darius, we must rely on the text of the Bible, a comparison with the LXX, and the framework of the 70-year captivity. Hello! No. Darius the Mede of Daniel 5:30 and Daniel 6 ruled Babylon beginning in October 12, 539 B.C. when he was about 62 years old. He was likely in a co-regency (rule) with Cyrus for about two years before he died. Separately, Darius I the Persian ruled Medo-Persia from the dates you indicated (we think it might be as early as 521 B.C.) Nevertheless, they are are two different people. Darius I was the one who lost at the battle of Marathon in 490 B.C.

I mean I understand it was renamed Palestina after romans conquered Israel in year 135, but it was declared Israel in 1948 again. Why are you still referring to it as Palestine? If you really, really want to know all about the two kings of the south, yes two kings, then read The Truth about the Devil, and The Man with Ten Horns. The kings of south and north are not countries. They are places, not countries. They are in the news almost every single day.
They reign for a short time, but only in Revelation 17, not in Daniel 7. Let's have a quick review of Daniel 7 before addressing Revelation 17. In Daniel 7, the ten horns are connected to the fourth beast. They are an extension of the beast. Since we know the fourth beast is Rome, they are the successor kingdoms that emerged from Rome. Rome does not fall like the other kingdoms but transitions to the ten horns, that is her successor states. Simultaneously, the little horn that comes up from among them is given a time, times, and half a time. This is one of the longer time prophecies in the Bible. When correctly interpreted, the time period is equal to 1260 literal years. This all matches western history. However, in Revelation 17:12, the ten horns receive authority as kings with the beast for one hour. The issue here is their reemergence. It is not the same time as Daniel 7. For example, in Revelation 13:1 there is a beast with seven heads and ten horns. Notice that there are diadems (crowns) on the horns. This symbolism is indicating the time of the middle ages when kings ruled. Crowns are symbols of kingship and authority. This represents the monarchies of the middle ages in Europe (or divided Rome). However, notice that there are no crowns on the horns in Revelation 17. There are four instances in Revelation 17, namely verses 3, 7, 12, and 16 where no crowns are indicated. The lack of crowns demonstrates that these are powers but not with monarchial, kingship authority like the middle ages. We live in a age of democracy, socialism, etc. where monarchy is no longer in play like the middle ages. In Revelation 17, these ten horns are symbolic of the nation/states at the very end of time. They will come together and rule for a very short period of time. The one hour that they rule when correctly interpreted (using the day-year principle) is about 2 literal weeks. This is the very very end right before Christ returns. We address this topic and more in our Revelation videos and the war they will make on the saints with the mark of the beast.

We explain all of this in our Revelation 13 video, but the short answer is that just as there is the Trinity, namely, God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit, there is a false trinity represented by the Satan, the sea beast, and the earth beast. All three combined along with the harlot (who rides the sea beast) of Revelation 17, make war on the saints. We recommend you critically evaluate all of our Daniel videos first before watching our Revelation videos. Hold us to the highest Biblical standard. You be the judge. God wants His people to understand end-time events and what will take place. Its not a time to fear but a time to be ready. God wants His people ready for His soon return.

A day is a year in Bible prophecy. A "time" in Bible prophecy is 360 years. This is based on the lunar calendar month cycle of the Jewish festival system where there are 30 days in a month. Over 12 months, there are 360 days. We explain this in detail in our Daniel 7 videos.
We believe based on the theological insights and the chiastic structures discovered within the book itself that the book of Daniel, including Daniel chapter 11 was indeed written during Daniel's time.

Good for the first few verses. Main thing you cannot apply a prophetic symbolic time on a prophecy that is just prophetic. "Time" does not affiliate with the time,times, half a time /1260. My simple logic you can't apply symbolic to a non symbolic prophecy. Example: Daniel 70 weeks were not symbolic From Daniel 10 to 12 there are no symbols just titles and accomplishments, any time found between 10-12 is not symbolic but literal.
It is important to note that there is a transition in Daniel 11. The first half of Daniel 11 is before the cross of Christ and the second half of Daniel 11 is after the cross of Christ. Before the cross, it is a literal explanation. After the cross of Christ, there is a symbolic representation. This is an important distinction to be made when studying and interpreting Daniel 11. Furtherrmore, to fully appreciate Daniel 11, one must understand the two visions in Daniel 8. There is the mareh and the chazown. All of this is explained in our Daniel 8, 9, and 10 videos. Without an understanding of the two visions in Daniel 8, one will be hard pressed to make any valuable or insightful conclusions. In summary, the spiritual application of a "time", i.e. 360 years, is consistent with the "time, times, and half a time" because it occurs after the cross of Christ. Please critically evaluate our Daniel 8 videos (3 parts) and our Daniel 9 videos (5 parts) to fully appreciate exactly what is going on in Daniel 11 and 12.
@AngelsintheGlen going against the simple hermeneutics. Firstly there is no proof that before the cross was literal and after its symbolic. Absolutely none. Second EGW says to take everything literal as it's written unless it's surrounded by symbol. Daniel 11 is not symbolic. It's just a prophetic explanation of events using titles and characteristics or achievements of great men. Not even when you get to Daniel 12:1 Michael is not symbolic. It's a literal title to help identify. This is why it's not understood the chapter because we add things that are not there. To fully appreciate Daniel 11 and 12 Daniel 8 must be understood. This interpretation you are giving is not accurate, and if restudied you can see there are flaws.
@@sandilla007agent7 You are making the same grave error the Jews made during the time of Christ. Jesus says to the Jews to tear down this temple and in three days He will raise it up again. The Jews responded that it took 46 years to build the temple. They couldn't understand that He was talking about the spiritual application of His own body, ie. His death and resurrection. (John 2) Nicodemus doesn't understand how one is born again and can't believe that it is possible to reenter a second time into his mother's womb. Jesus was talking about a spiritual birth from above. (John 3) The woman at the well believes that there is something special in the water (John 4). Jesus is talking about the Holy Spirit. This is a sample. The hermeneutic is sound.

There is nothing symbolic in Daniel 11, which means you cannot apply a symbolic time to a literal vision. There are no symbols. If you say I'm wrong. Show where in Daniel 11 there is a symbol. Those that are rescued are not the lands or the people of literal Edom, Moab, or Ammon. Egypt is not the literal land of Egypt. Nor or the Libyans or Ethiopians. We can go on, but the video speaks for itself. We really don't recommend it directly until one has already familiarized themselves with our Revelation 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 videos. Later this year, we will be coming out with a verse by verse explanation of every word and phrase in Daniel 11. We will also include the chiastic patterns associated with the exegesis of these passages. The chiastic patterns will provide sufficient evidence that the conclusions are Bible based and Christ centered. Interesting presentation. Looking good, but the comment that "everyone's case is decided when Christ returns" does not follow the Biblical account of judgement that God painstakingly taught us. The whole purpose of the 2300 day for year Chazown was to bring the plan of redemption to a final judgment that would commence in 1844 at the end of the 2300 days. It is correct that the "time of the end" technically begins there, but it extends for a good amount of time until the vision of Daniel 11:41-45, Daniel 12, and the end time events of Revelation begin to be fulfilled. In the time of the end, a judgment of all mankind is commencing, every case from that time forward. So, how would Christ determine every case at His second coming when He had already begun doing that in 1844? The NASB version lends itself to a whole different wording than is found in the received text and the KJV. That really makes the interpretation of some of these verses questionable in the least and suspect at most. For example, Daniel 11:23 is way off from the wording of the KJV. How is it that we go from Augustus Caesar in verse 20 and the next Caesar in Tiberias in verse 21 and 22 and the next chronological event of Christ's crucifixion and then to verse 23 that takes us all the way back to 161 BC with the Jews and the Romans joining in a treaty? Everything has been exactly in chronological succession up to that point. But, the text seems to identify from 23 to 26 go back and repeat the history of Rome up to the time of Christ again. Then verse 28 skips up to the late imperial Roman empire with the time of Constantine. This is really bizarre. What is the explanation for this? I know about the "time" of verse 24 and that makes sense, but why all the skipping back and forth in this section between verses 23 to 29?
Thanks for your comment and critical analysis. We believe the purpose of the chazown, which concluded in 1844, is to gain clarity and insight into the final phase of Christ’s ministry, namely, His Most Holy Place ministry. This includes the reversal of the removal of “the daily” that occurred during the middle ages, of which began in 1798 with the fall of the church-state system, and where the Church began to recover lost truths and gain new ones in preparation for the second coming of Christ. We believe the “time of the end” commenced in 1798 with the fall of the church state system. We also believe that all prophetic time has concluded with the end of the 2300 in 1844 A.D. Also, we agree with you that Christ began deciding every case beginning in 1844. Maybe we did not articulate that clearly in the video (?) However, please consider our Daniel 9 (part 5) video where we explain exactly what occurred (or began to occur) in the heavenly sanctuary in 1844. That might clear things up. Also, regarding Daniel 11:23. Excellent observation. Good question. We believe that the text in v23 had to back up to 161 B.C. because an explanation is required for v20. That is, v20 talks about an oppressor being sent through the Jewel of his kingdom, but how did Israel become a jewel of the Roman kingdom (empire)? Answer: verse 23. Judas Maccabeus forged a peace treaty with Rome in the year B.C. 161. in his attempt to avert the challenge of Greek domination and to hedge against the specter of Antiochus Epiphanes or any other Greek overlord terrorizing Judea ever again. By doing so, the Jewish people lost confidence in the LORD God to protect them. The alliance with Rome prepared the way for full Roman conquest of Palestine under the Roman general Pompey in the first century B.C. In short, V23 qualifies and explains V20. Daniel 12:10 Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand. Regarding understanding, The 70 years of Jewish captivity in Babylon were well understood to Prophet Daniel. Even now we can understand the timeline of God about the antichrist in the last seven of Dan 9:27. The church period is a great mystery that is sealed indeed after the 62 sevens in verse 26. The antichrist will come physically and do what they were appointed to do after the rapture of the church. It is after the rapture that the timeline resurfaces for Daniels people the Jews who he was praying about and the 3rd temple will have been built just after the rapture of the church. (Explicity)

We regret to inform you that your interpretation of Daniel 11 is incompatible, inconsistent, and completely violates the framework of Daniel 2, 7, and 8. It is one of the many and unfortunate errors circulating the Christian Church today. To properly exegete Daniel 11, one must first understand the two visions Daniel sees in Daniel 8, viz, the "mareh" and the "chazown". Please see our videos on Daniel 8. Daniel 11 is simply an expansion and full explanation of the "chazown" vision in Daniel 8. Chronologically, Daniel 11 begins with the Medo-Persian Empire and goes all the way to the end of the world (i.e. end-time events). Notice what happens immediately after Daniel 11:45. This is the return of Christ where everyone's eternal destiny is decided (Daniel 12:2). Your interpretation of Daniel 11, which begins with Medo Persia (circa 539 B.C) and ends with Antiochus IV (circa 168 B.C.) does violence to the scriptures and neglects the Roman Empire and the Middle Ages (where the little horn of Daniel 7 and 8 are the key components). We apologize that we must be so frank with you, but given the amount of detail you provided, we cannot stay silent and not point out your error. We would recommend watching our Daniel 2, 7, 8, 9, and 10 videos to have the proper context of Daniel 11. Why is this important? Because many in the Christian Church are misapplying end-time scriptures in Daniel and Revelation and are unprepared to understand what the mark of the beast and the difference between the seal of God. It is one of the many and unfortunate errors circulating the Christian Church today. To properly exegete Daniel 11, one must first understand the two visions Daniel sees in Daniel 8, viz, the "mareh" and the "chazown". Please see our videos on Daniel 8. Daniel 11 is simply an expansion and full explanation of the "chazown" vision in Daniel 8. Chronologically, Daniel 11 begins with the Medo-Persian Empire and goes all the way to the end of the world (i.e. end-time events). Notice what happens immediately after Daniel 11:45. This is the return of Christ where everyone's eternal destiny is decided (Daniel 12:2). Your interpretation of Daniel 11, which begins with Medo Persia (circa 539 B.C) and ends with Antiochus IV (circa 168 B.C.) does violence to the scriptures and neglects the Roman Empire and the Middle Ages (where the little horn of Daniel 7 and 8 are the key components). Great question. This might not be an easy one to answer but here are some thoughts to consider. We’re not sure why the length of time is exactly 21 days, however, we believe it is a historical template that recognizes the time span between the terminations of the 1290 and 1335 prophecies (see our Daniel 12 and Revelation 10 videos). The 1290 and 1335 time prophecies point to the captivity ending (for Spiritual Israel, ie. The Church) and that time difference is the time that captivity ends and a full release and restoration begins. In our Daniel 12 and Rev 10, we underscore the importance of how blessed is the one who attains to the 1335. Daniel is mourning but the Bible teaches that for every mourning there is a comforting time. Matt 5:4 (NASB) "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” In the same way, Daniels morning gives way to the end of the captivity and Cyrus’ decree to restore the temple (Ezra 1:1). In parallel fashion, there would be a time of morning between the 1290 and 1335 prophecies, i.e. How blessed is the one who attains to the 1335. What is he mourning over? Is it related to the end of the 70th year captivity? (i.e. the 3rd year of Cyrus is the 70th year). Is Daniel mourning/praying that God will fulfill His promise? Or is it the time of the Passover (1st month 24th day) and Daniel is worshipping/fasting because there is no sanctuary to celebrate the Passover. It’s possible Daniel is recognizing when the Passover would have been held and is reverencing this time. That this is the 70th year is a big deal. This is the end of the captivity. Daniel is mourning and we get a glimpse into the spiritual warfare that is going on at the same time for the same length of time, i.e. Michael has to intervene to enable Daniel to receive a message. Again, why 21 days? Why does God allow spiritual warfare to go on for this long? God could have removed the Prince of Persia and allow Daniel to receive the message all the sooner? Sure, but why does God allow 21 days to go by? Maybe the same way He sovereignly allows spiritual warfare to go on today. Should we pursue prayer and fasting and mourning in times of trouble? Certainly. Why 21 days? We don’t have an exact answer other than it provides a historical template between the 1290 and 1335 time prophecies. That is, the pattern that happens in literal Israel is repeated in spiritual Israel. Not on the same time scale, but the same pattern.
Actually, it's not that complicated. Whether it's a storm, a plague, a talking ass, a prepared fish or killing 185,000 soldiers in a single night's work God does things at times to direct the affairs of men. When a nudge in the right direction is needed to keep things moving along to an "appointed time" we can expect Him to use his powers. In this case, Daniel 10:13 is just a matter-of-fact recounting of what's going on "behind the scenes". The speaker was engaged with a Persian prince and, apparently, not making the headway required so Michael came to assist in the endeavor. Daniel was praying and fasting for 3 weeks (10:2 and 10:3) and the angel indicates that Daniel was heard but the words for Daniel were delayed 3 weeks (21 days). No mystery there. For me, the interesting part is this angel might hang around from about 490 BC (The time of the visitation) until the Greeks come along in 332 BC (10:20). Look, we know Satan has been at work down here since Eden (At least). Rest assured, God is working too. Can you sense Satan at work? Of course. But we know there is a force "withholding" too.
You leave Xerxes son out...in the seventh year of the reighn of king ARTAXERXES issued he... the final decree. ARTAXERXES reighn began in 465 B.C....The 7th year would be 457 as you say. It's a minor thing but many good preachers gives ARTAXERXES FINAL decree as the starting point of the 70 weeks until messiah.(Jewish rabbis refuses to let fellow Jews study this) Remember too..?it was ARTAXERXES who inquired of Nehemiah about why he was so down trodden. Nehemiah responded, The temple hadn't been built even though Cyrus and Darious had both issued decrees allowing them to go back but there were some letters sent to Cyrus from others warning Cyrus if he allowed them to go back and rebuild everything... Judahs' God, our God, would be with them and they'd become mighty again so Cyrus nor Darious helped them rebuild the temple and city as did ARTAXERXES who ordered all his princes over different cities to help them as well as sending the temple utensils back! Note: Remember Genesis 49:10, Jeremiah 9:16 (Ezekiel warned the jews the same and eventually the Romans came and destroyed them) then read Rev 2:9&3:9 They've hood winked the world in my opinion!
This appears to be a variation of a preterist perspective. Half right , but half not properly understood. You are right in saying Antiochus is not the fulfillment of the lawless one but he is a similitude..namely the one the Lord mentions in John 5:43.. same one in 2 Thes 2:3. You are obviously a believer. But I disagree with your eschatological approach because it simply creates more problems than it solves.. Lots of contrivance and shoe horning... Think a closer study of the Olivet discourse would yield a more accurate perspective. Mathew and Mark different from Luke. Mathew says after , Luke says before simply put... very similar.. but a closer look might show that although similar Luke was probably making references to some events during his time( not all ) , whereas Mathew was referring to those things yet future or on our near horizon in our time.. The key to understanding Daniel 11 goes back to Daniel 8. Daniel sees two visions in Daniel 8. The visions are related and correlate both the 2300 evenings and mornings (of Daniel 8) and the 70 week time prophecy (of Daniel 9). A casual reading of Daniel 8 might make it appear there is only one vision, however, there are two Hebrew words for vision (mareh and chazown). We explain the difference and how they are related in our Daniel 8 video. A serious Bible student cannot properly understand Daniel 9, 10,11, or 12 without understanding the two visions of Chapter 8. We cover all this in our series. After you've critically analyzed our conclusions in Daniel 8, then please reconsider your thoughts on our Daniel 11 video. You may want to consider our Daniel 1 video. We summarize the entire book of Daniel in two verses. This is another key to understand all the time prophecies. The pattern of literal Israel (Judah) in captivity in literal Babylon is repeated for spiritual Israel (the Church) and captivity in spiritual Babylon. Just as Israel (Judah) came out of Babylon after 70 literal years, so too is the Church coming out of spiritual Babylon. Greater light is being shed on the scriptures. It is to prepare God's people for the mark of the beast struggle which is soon approaching. I do not agree with your interpretation of Dan 11. I believe you inject Rome much to early in the prophecy. 1st, you did not go verse by verse, a common theme among those who struggle to interpret Daniel, skipping over verses they do not understand. Doing this almost always results in a misleading interpretation. The problem is that Dan 11 has no specific names or places and it can be interpreted to fit different periods of history. Another problem is the different versions/translations of the Bible. The difference of a single word can severely change the meaning of a verse. That is why Dan 9 and the 70 weeks has been misinterpreted since the 2nd century AD because it was translated wrong in the Septuagint! While we capitalize letters to place importance on names, Hebrew does not make this distinguishment and hence the confusion. I have found that going back to the original Hebrew has clarified many things. Dan 11:20 also falls prey to misinterpretation. While נָגַשׂ can mean "tyrannize" it can also mean "tax". So one could also see how 11:20 may be referring to Seleucus IV Philopator and his minister Heliodrus who was his tax collector and went to take the temple treasury to pay for the indemnity still owed from the treaty of Apamea. Philopator was murdered later by Heliodrus fitting Dan 11:20 to the T. So you can see how a single word change can lead one to interpret the verse for Ceaser Augustus or Philopator. Following on in Dan 11:21 Antiochus IV Epiphances was as despicable as they came and also seized power through intrigue. Either one of these interpretations places the abomination of desolation in different years. 164 BC, or 70 AD, or even yet to be fulfilled. Daniel is one of the most interesting prophetic books, and the most confusing and misinterpreted. We may be trying to discern its prophecy until Jesus Christ himself returns to explain it to us. Thanks for your comment. The key to understand Daniel 11 is to study Daniel 8. In Daniel 8, Daniel sees two visions. We explain all of this in our Daniel 8 video. A serious Bible student or theologian who does not recognize the significance of the two visions and their relationship cannot understand Daniel 11. In this video (Daniel 11) we are principally concerned about the framework of Daniel 11. Through the framework we explain how the two visions of Daniel 8 overlay onto Daniel 11. The books of Daniel are not confusing nor should they be misinterpreted. They can be known with confidence. The key is in Daniel 8. (also we will have a video and a study guide that will cover every verse in this chapter to make this very clear...probably sometime in early 2021). Also, we do not believe that we will be trying to discern prophecy until Jesus Christ returns. We believe that God is restoring His church and bringing greater light upon the scriptures so that we can know exactly what must take place during end-time events before Christ returns. Daniel 11 reads like a history book. It's incredibly accurate. But in verse 40 it goes completely wrong. From verse 40 to 45 the amazing 100% historical accuracy goes completely out the window. Thus historians know with high accuracy when the book of Daniel was written. Also, Darius the Mede never existed.
In Matthew 24:15, Jesus declared that Daniel wrote the book. If we believe the words of Jesus we can be confident Daniel is the primary speaker. It's important to recognize the power of God in the prophecies to predict the future through His prophets. They are speaking for God. We should find comfort in them because God wants His people to know what is going to take place (Amos 3:7 and Revelation 1:1 - the things which must soon take place) In addition, we are currently living at the end of Daniel 11 verse 40. Daniel 11:41-45 has not yet taken place. That is, on June 3, 2022, as of the posting of this comment, verse 40 is nearing its end. Verse 41 is about to begin, which is the mark of the beast that will engulf the world. @@AngelsintheGlen I've heard all this before and every Christian sect invents slightly or hugely different interpretations for the vague prophecies in Daniel. But Daniel 11 is not vague at all, it's super precise. If it wasn't for the catastrophic failure in v40-45 making it obvious what was going on here, it would be very good evidence for a supernatural origin to the bible (as long as there was some way to authenticate when it was written). As it is though, v40-45 is instead very good evidence that the book is a forgery. Daniel 12:4 is another good indication of forgery - a built-in explanation telling the reader why they have not heard of this book until now. Good grief the people in the past must have been gullible! In any case I don't expect you to be able to accept any of this - you will be incapable of seeing it from an outsider's perspective. But to me this is very obvious and I'm really glad you pointed out the error in Matthew too, in my view it completely destroys the Christianity myth. Though to be honest it's not the only error the author of Matthew makes - there's that hilarious misunderstanding of Zechariah in 21:7 and the whole book is just a heavily edited version of Mark anyway. We appreciate it despite our differences. If you are looking for supernatural evidence regarding the Bible's origins from God Himself, we are marshalling that evidence right now. We will demonstrate the evidence from within the text of the Bible and will show that the Bible is an information grid system. While it was physically written by human hands, the Spirit of God was diffused into their minds and embedded chiastic and parallel block patterns that run through the veins of the OT and NT. It's actually a fractal system that goes on and on. We cannot find an end nor do we believe it is possible. When one sees the evidence (if they are willing to examine it) it will show that the book could not be generated by a human mind. It can only come from a mind that is literally out of this world and beyond our comprehension. The patterns can speak for themselves and one can make their own conclusion as to how they somehow coherently come together over 1500 years and about 40 different authors. Since this is a massive project to present the evidence, we're still about 1-2 years away from publishing it. I can't believe I wasted my time watching your interpretation with very little research, Your interpretation don't match the dream of Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel chapter 2. The Abomination that causes desolation is in the 70 weeks prophecy, Mathew 24, Luke 21, that is the destruction of Jerusalem 70 AD. What you don't talk about in your in your videos is the point of view of the fathers of the REFORMATION and the PROTESTANTS the ROME, THE PAPACY IS THE LITTLE HORN, the Antichrist, the Beast, the Horde dress in Scarlett and Babylon.
We agree with you that there is a double application of the Abomination of Desolation. First the literal in physical geographic Jerusalem, then the spiritual against the heavenly Jerusalem (which includes the Church on earth). In Daniel 11 we explain exactly where literal Rome (i.e. the Roman Empire) appears and then also as it continues into the Church-State system of the middle ages. The key to understand Daniel 11 is that Daniel sees two visions in Daniel chapter 8. Those visions are distinct and related. The “chazown” vision is about the 2300 evening and mornings. The “mareh” vision is the 70 weeks. If you watched the Daniel 11 video in its entirety, you would have seen the distinction between those two visions and how they unfold over the course of the entire chapter. We show consistency and build from Daniel 2, 7, 8, and 11. If you’ve not yet investigated the two visions of Daniel 8, recommend you watch those videos. Without an understanding of the two visions, one cannot appreciate the magnitude of Daniel 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, nor can one move on confidently to Revelation. Stick with us on this series. The focus of Daniel 11 is to understand its overarching framework as they relate to the two visions in Daniel 8. All of this is building to a culmination in the three angel’s messages of Revelation 14. The three angel’s messages are the most important messages for the world today. It includes the everlasting gospel, the fall of spiritual Babylon (by which the Church receives greater light into the scriptures that build upon the Reformation and go much further), and the mark of the beast - what it is and why it is important. End time events will soon unfold. God wants His people to know exactly what must take place before Christ returns. It’s not a time to fear but a time to be ready. Thanks for watching. Problem is you are very much following the lines of interpretation of the 7th day Adventist movement. That everything has already happened. The latter days are very much up to debate as to when the prophecy is unsealed. I have heard just as convincing arguments that the 2300 days,NOTE EVENINGS & MORNINGS are future literal days not years occurring in the 7 year period of tribulation where the future Antichrist takes control of the reconstituted sacrificial system. @@grahamkelly520 The key to understanding Daniel 11 goes back to Daniel 8. Daniel sees two visions in Daniel 8. The visions are related and correlate both the 2300 evenings and mornings (of Daniel 8) and the 70 week time prophecy (of Daniel 9). A casual reading of Daniel 8 might make it appear there is only one vision, however, there are two Hebrew words for vision (mareh and chazown). We explain the difference and how they are related in our Daniel 8 video. A serious Bible student cannot properly understand Daniel 9, 10,11, or 12 without understanding the two visions of Chapter 8. We cover all this in our series. The idea that the 2300 evenings and mornings are literal days in the future is (unfortunately) one of the biggest mistakes in the Christian Church today. Christian theologians are making the same mistake as the Pharisees of Ancient Israel. They are applying a literal application to most everything. Take for example the story when Jesus says to “destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up”. How did they respond to Jesus? They said it took 46 years to rebuild this temple. We know Jesus was talking about His body after His death on the cross. Look at how confused Nicodemus was when talking with Jesus ..”how can a man be born when he is old, can he enter a second time into his mothers womb and be born?” We know that Jesus was talking about being born of the Spirit. Look at the women at the well. She said to Jesus “give me some of this water, then I won’t have to come to this well anymore” We know that Jesus was talking about spiritual rivers of living water. In each of these above examples (John 2, 3, and 4) we see a successive pattern of taking Jesus words literally. In every case, they were wrong (innocently and ignorantly). These are just a few stories that shout out to the Christian Church today, yet many ignore these stories and continue to press ahead with literal interpretations. I’ve just given three. There are many many more. Just as literal Israel went into Babylonian captivity, so to the Christian Church (spiritual Israel) went into captivity into spiritual Babylon. Patterns like this repeat all across the Bible. Should we not learn these lessons? Why is the Christian Church repeating the same mistake by making literal interpretations. It need not be so. Though the Pharisees had the scriptures, they could not discern the 1st coming of Christ. Though the Christian Church have both the OT and NT scriptures, and plenty of Biblical examples and patterns, they cannot discern the events that must take place before the 2nd return of Christ. Through our series we demonstrate the prophecies aren’t just time prophecies and historical dates. They are telling a much grander and unified message about Jesus Christ and the everlasting gospel. All that to say that we are on the eve of Christ’s return. It’s not because of anything happening in the world today. It’s because the scriptures are telling us how close we actually are. Events will unfold rapidly. It’s not a time to fear. It’s a time to be ready. God want’s His people to know exactly what must take place. He wants His people to know exactly what the mark of the beast is and why it is what it is (see our Revelation 13 video). However, we recommend watching the entire series. It will culminate in Revelation 13 and 14 with the mark of the beast struggle. God wants His people ready for His soon return. Thanks for your comment.

It is unlikely that vision (chazown) in Isaiah 1 is speaking of end-times but is speaking primarily to the literal inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem during the reigns of the kings of Judah as evidenced in the first verse.
Nevertheless, the message is still applicable to God's people in any time. This is especially true of verses 16-20, i.e come let's reason together....obey and be blessed, rebel and you will be judged.

Best analysis (by far) I've seen so far on Daniel. Thank you! Previously all I came across was inaccurate interpretations of people who know almost nothing about history. The Book of Daniel teaches one a lot about the history of the ancient world, particularly the Middle East.

Got most of this chapter done; good one and makes sense. Just struggle with chapter 9. Understand that the Daily was restored but 1844 was a new beginning I think where Jesus entered the Most Holy Place. Taking a break from it for now.

Although I am not very knowledgeable in history , I have thought verses 37-45 in Daniel 11 were meant for the ottoman empire, as in verse 37 it mentions women humiliation and in verses 38,39 talking about a new god , i believe it's the new religion, the islam. In verse 39 it's what happened in my country, everyone that was surrendered ,were given land, wealth and titles.

Thank you for this video. I have a question; in your study, why do you call the land of Israel, Palestine?
Palestine is a term widely used. A common name given to that area of land. The name goes back to the Greeks when the western nations called the whole land after the Philistines, who occupied part of the costal regions. The Bible uses the term Philistia in Ex 15:14, Ps 60:8; 83:7; 87:4; 108:9, Isaiah 14:29, 31; Joel 3:4. It is also considered the land of Canaan in the OT, but that land doesn't encompass of all the land that was considered to be Palestine.
What does this mean?
“He shall also enter the Glorious Land, and many countries shall be overthrown; but these shall escape from his hand: Edom, Moab, and the prominent people of Ammon.”

Thanks for your feedback and question! Cleopatra does not appear until Daniel 11:17 and later in 11:25. The king of the South in Daniel 11:6 is Ptolemy II Philadelphus. His daughter was named Bernice. The king of the north is Antiochus II Theos and was married to Laodice. To form the alliance, Antiochus II divorced his wife Laodice and married Bernice. However, Laodice would later murder Antiochus II and Bernice. (We’ll cover all the details and explain why for each verse in the Daniel 11 study guide. Thanks for watching our videos!....and great question! The answer is that it was deduced from the text of the Bible and the framework of the 70-year Babylonian captivity.
The history of Darius the Mede is currently unknown today (at the time of this writing). Some posit that he might have been Gobryas (a general who led the Medo-Persian army against Babylon), others believe him to be Cyrus the Great.
Notwithstanding the difficulty of making a positive identity of Darius, let’s examine how we conclude that his rule was from 539-536 B.C. The following is a short explanation.
First, we need to acknowledge the framework of the 70-year captivity. Daniel was taken captive to Babylon in the fall of 605 B.C. This means that the 70-year captivity would end in the year from 536-535 B.C. The year (536-535 B.C.) would be the “70th” year. This is also the first year of Cyrus the king. See Ezra 1:1-4 (Cyrus’ decree to rebuild the temple).
In addition, this is also the year that Daniels’ life ends. See Daniel 1:21. Notice in Daniel 1:21 it says that “Daniel continued until the first year of Cyrus”. Hold on to that point. We’ll come back to it. Let’s examine Daniel 5:31.
Daniel 5:31 (NASB) So Darius the Mede received the kingdom at about the age of sixty-two.
We know that the transition of the kingdom from Babylon to Medo-Persia occurred at the Battle of Opus, Oct 12, 539 B.C. It was on this night that Darius the Mede receives the kingdom. However, the fall of 539 B.C. is Darius’ ascension year. That is, his first full year of reign would not start until the spring or possible the fall of the following year. See time line below. However, we must compare a few more scriptures.
Compare Daniel 1:21 with Daniel 10:1. In Daniel 10:1 it says the “the third year of Cyrus”. That’s interesting. Daniel’s life is not ended yet, despite the fact that it says “the third year of Cyrus”. However, if we examine the text of the Septuagint (LXX), i.e., the Greek translation of the OT, Daniel 10:1 says “the first year of Cyrus”. With this, we can correlate that the “third year of Cyrus” is the same as “the first year of Cyrus”. This is an indication that he is likely in a co-regency with Darius for at least two years. The third year of Cyrus’ reign is also his first year of his sole rulership. Why is that? Darius advanced age of sixty-two is probably the principal factor in his brief two year reign. Let’s look at the timeline.
Fall of 539 B.C. Darius receives the kingdom (ascension year) (Oct 12th Battle of Opus)
Fall 538-537 B.C. 1st year of Darius (also 1st year of co-regency with Cyrus)
Fall 537-536 B.C. 2nd year of Darius (also 2nd year of co-regency with Cyrus)
Fall 536-535 B.C. 1st year of Cyrus’ sole rulership (also this is his 3rd of rulership, the first two were co-regent with Darius)
With no historical sources on the exact dates of the reign of Darius, we must rely on the text of the Bible, a comparison with the LXX, and the framework of the 70-year captivity.

Hello! No. Darius the Mede of Daniel 5:30 and Daniel 6 ruled Babylon beginning in October 12, 539 B.C. when he was about 62 years old. He was likely in a co-regency (rule) with Cyrus for about two years before he died. Separately, Darius I the Persian ruled Medo-Persia from the dates you indicated (we think it might be as early as 521 B.C.) Nevertheless, they are are two different people. Darius I was the one who lost at the battle of Marathon in 490 B.C.

Thank you for this presentation... very well thought out and broken down. I do have a question... Why do you call the land of Israel Palestine? I mean I understand it was renamed Palestina after romans conquered Israel in year 135, but it was declared Israel in 1948 again. Why are you still referring to it as Palestine? Am I missing something?

We identify some of the kings of the north and the south in the video, however, they change over time. If you recall in the video we point out that God's people are caught between the kings of the north and and the south but they change over the course of history. We provide the framework of Daniel 11 in this video. To fully appreciate it, we recommend going back to our Daniel 8 and 9 videos. Also, the king of the north and south change identities one final time in verses 40-45. However, we don't identify them until we first explain Revelation 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14. If you really, really want to know all about the two kings of the south, yes two kings, then read The Truth about the Devil, and The Man with Ten Horns. The kings of south and north are not countries. They are places, not countries. They are in the news almost every single day.
I think there is a misunderstanding on the 10horns because it sayy they will rain for short time...
They reign for a short time, but only in Revelation 17, not in Daniel 7. Let's have a quick review of Daniel 7 before addressing Revelation 17.
In Daniel 7, the ten horns are connected to the fourth beast. They are an extension of the beast. Since we know the fourth beast is Rome, they are the successor kingdoms that emerged from Rome. Rome does not fall like the other kingdoms but transitions to the ten horns, that is her successor states. Simultaneously, the little horn that comes up from among them is given a time, times, and half a time. This is one of the longer time prophecies in the Bible. When correctly interpreted, the time period is equal to 1260 literal years. This all matches western history.
However, in Revelation 17:12, the ten horns receive authority as kings with the beast for one hour. The issue here is their reemergence. It is not the same time as Daniel 7. For example, in Revelation 13:1 there is a beast with seven heads and ten horns. Notice that there are diadems (crowns) on the horns. This symbolism is indicating the time of the middle ages when kings ruled. Crowns are symbols of kingship and authority. This represents the monarchies of the middle ages in Europe (or divided Rome). However, notice that there are no crowns on the horns in Revelation 17. There are four instances in Revelation 17, namely verses 3, 7, 12, and 16 where no crowns are indicated. The lack of crowns demonstrates that these are powers but not with monarchial, kingship authority like the middle ages. We live in a age of democracy, socialism, etc. where monarchy is no longer in play like the middle ages. In Revelation 17, these ten horns are symbolic of the nation/states at the very end of time. They will come together and rule for a very short period of time. The one hour that they rule when correctly interpreted (using the day-year principle) is about 2 literal weeks. This is the very very end right before Christ returns.

@@rogofe0964 The false prophet is identified in Revelation 13 and is the earth beast. We explain all of this in our Revelation 13 video, but the short answer is that just as there is the Trinity, namely, God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit, there is a false trinity represented by the Satan, the sea beast, and the earth beast. All three combined along with the harlot (who rides the sea beast) of Revelation 17, make war on the saints.

@@AngelsintheGlen but in Daniel 17 they both have categories that the beast had 7heads and 10crowns they were not different beasts brother, secondly the beast is the e8th king who belongs to 7heads (7kings) but like you said it will come out from the fourth beast,it will plucked out the 3horns from the 10horns. A ‘time’ is a year right?
A day is a year in Bible prophecy. A "time" in Bible prophecy is 360 years. This is based on the lunar calendar month cycle of the Jewish festival system where there are 30 days in a month. Over 12 months, there are 360 days. We explain this in detail in our Daniel 7 videos.

And he shall come into countries and shall overflow and pass through”

Please consider Jesus rather than Rome in verses 23 and 24
Good for the first few verses. Main thing you cannot apply a prophetic symbolic time on a prophecy that is just prophetic. "Time" does not affiliate with the time,times, half a time /1260.
My simple logic you can't apply symbolic to a non symbolic prophecy.
Example: Daniel 70 weeks were not symbolic
From Daniel 10 to 12 there are no symbols just titles and accomplishments, any time found between 10-12 is not symbolic but literal.
It is important to note that there is a transition in Daniel 11. The first half of Daniel 11 is before the cross of Christ and the second half of Daniel 11 is after the cross of Christ. Before the cross, it is a literal explanation. After the cross of Christ, there is a symbolic representation. This is an important distinction to be made when studying and interpreting Daniel 11. Furtherrmore, to fully appreciate Daniel 11, one must understand the two visions in Daniel 8. There is the mareh and the chazown. All of this is explained in our Daniel 8, 9, and 10 videos. Without an understanding of the two visions in Daniel 8, one will be hard pressed to make any valuable or insightful conclusions.
In summary, the spiritual application of a "time", i.e. 360 years, is consistent with the "time, times, and half a time" because it occurs after the cross of Christ.
Please critically evaluate our Daniel 8 videos (3 parts) and our Daniel 9 videos (5 parts) to fully appreciate exactly what is going on in Daniel 11 and 12.
@AngelsintheGlen going against the simple hermeneutics. Firstly there is no proof that before the cross was literal and after its symbolic. Absolutely none.
Second EGW says to take everything literal as it's written unless it's surrounded by symbol. Daniel 11 is not symbolic. It's just a prophetic explanation of events using titles and characteristics or achievements of great men. Not even when you get to Daniel 12:1 Michael is not symbolic. It's a literal title to help identify.
This is why it's not understood the chapter because we add things that are not there.
To fully appreciate Daniel 11 and 12 Daniel 8 must be understood.
This interpretation you are giving is not accurate, and if restudied you can see there are flaws.

Jesus says to the Jews to tear down this temple and in three days He will raise it up again. The Jews responded that it took 46 years to build the temple. They couldn't understand that He was talking about the spiritual application of His own body, ie. His death and resurrection. (John 2)
Nicodemus doesn't understand how one is born again and can't believe that it is possible to reenter a second time into his mother's womb. Jesus was talking about a spiritual birth from above. (John 3)
The woman at the well believes that there is something special in the water (John 4). Jesus is talking about the Holy Spirit.

There is nothing symbolic in Daniel 11, which means you cannot apply a symbolic time to a literal vision. There are no symbols.

Those that are rescued are not the lands or the people of literal Edom, Moab, or Ammon. Egypt is not the literal land of Egypt. Nor or the Libyans or Ethiopians. We can go on, but the video speaks for itself. We really don't recommend it directly until one has already familiarized themselves with our Revelation 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 videos.
Later this year, we will be coming out with a verse by verse explanation of every word and phrase in Daniel 11. We will also include the chiastic patterns associated with the exegesis of these passages. The chiastic patterns will provide sufficient evidence that the conclusions are Bible based and Christ centered. Interesting presentation. Looking good, but the comment that "everyone's case is decided when Christ returns" does not follow the Biblical account of judgement that God painstakingly taught us. The whole purpose of the 2300 day for year Chazown was to bring the plan of redemption to a final judgment that would commence in 1844 at the end of the 2300 days. It is correct that the "time of the end" technically begins there, but it extends for a good amount of time until the vision of Daniel 11:41-45, Daniel 12, and the end time events of Revelation begin to be fulfilled. In the time of the end, a judgment of all mankind is commencing, every case from that time forward. So, how would Christ determine every case at His second coming when He had already begun doing that in 1844?
The NASB version lends itself to a whole different wording than is found in the received text and the KJV. That really makes the interpretation of some of these verses questionable in the least and suspect at most. For example, Daniel 11:23 is way off from the wording of the KJV.
How is it that we go from Augustus Caesar in verse 20 and the next Caesar in Tiberias in verse 21 and 22 and the next chronological event of Christ's crucifixion and then to verse 23 that takes us all the way back to 161 BC with the Jews and the Romans joining in a treaty? Everything has been exactly in chronological succession up to that point. But, the text seems to identify from 23 to 26 go back and repeat the history of Rome up to the time of Christ again. Then verse 28 skips up to the late imperial Roman empire with the time of Constantine. This is really bizarre. What is the explanation for this? I know about the "time" of verse 24 and that makes sense, but why all the skipping back and forth in this section between verses 23 to 29?

We believe the purpose of the chazown, which concluded in 1844, is to gain clarity and insight into the final phase of Christ’s ministry, namely, His Most Holy Place ministry. This includes the reversal of the removal of “the daily” that occurred during the middle ages, of which began in 1798 with the fall of the church-state system, and where the Church began to recover lost truths and gain new ones in preparation for the second coming of Christ. We believe the “time of the end” commenced in 1798 with the fall of the church state system. We also believe that all prophetic time has concluded with the end of the 2300 in 1844 A.D. Also, we agree with you that Christ began deciding every case beginning in 1844. Maybe we did not articulate that clearly in the video (?) However, please consider our Daniel 9 (part 5) video where we explain exactly what occurred (or began to occur) in the heavenly sanctuary in 1844. That might clear things up.
Also, regarding Daniel 11:23. Excellent observation. Good question. We believe that the text in v23 had to back up to 161 B.C. because an explanation is required for v20. That is, v20 talks about an oppressor being sent through the Jewel of his kingdom, but how did Israel become a jewel of the Roman kingdom (empire)? Answer: verse 23. Judas Maccabeus forged a peace treaty with Rome in the year B.C. 161. in his attempt to avert the challenge of Greek domination and to hedge against the specter of Antiochus Epiphanes or any other Greek overlord terrorizing Judea ever again. By doing so, the Jewish people lost confidence in the LORD God to protect them. The alliance with Rome prepared the way for full Roman conquest of Palestine under the Roman general Pompey in the first century B.C. In short, V23 qualifies and explains V20.

Daniel 12:10 Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.
Regarding understanding, The 70 years of Jewish captivity in Babylon were well understood to Prophet Daniel. Even now we can understand the timeline of God about the antichrist in the last seven of Dan 9:27. The church period is a great mystery that is sealed indeed after the 62 sevens in verse 26. The antichrist will come physically and do what they were appointed to do after the rapture of the church. It is after the rapture that the timeline resurfaces for Daniels people the Jews who he was praying about and the 3rd temple will have been built just after the rapture of the church. (Explicity)
Therefore the markpoint is the progress of building the third temple. As you can see the efforts are not far away meaning we are sitting at the brink of the Advent.

The time of the end is not the same as the end of time .
The time of the end pertains to a certain point in time ( the end of the summer , the end of a day , the end of your childhood , or the end of time ) .
The end of time pertains to the last day of flesh and blood man ; at the great white throne judgment .

You know sir....I was interested in the 21 day resistance the angel met up with in the heavenlies until Michael the prince arrived to assist him.
Great question. This might not be an easy one to answer but here are some thoughts to consider.
We’re not sure why the length of time is exactly 21 days, however, we believe it is a historical template that recognizes the time span between the terminations of the 1290 and 1335 prophecies (see our Daniel 12 and Revelation 10 videos). The 1290 and 1335 time prophecies point to the captivity ending (for Spiritual Israel, ie. The Church) and that time difference is the time that captivity ends and a full release and restoration begins. In our Daniel 12 and Rev 10, we underscore the importance of how blessed is the one who attains to the 1335.
Daniel is mourning but the Bible teaches that for every mourning there is a comforting time. Matt 5:4 (NASB) "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” In the same way, Daniels morning gives way to the end of the captivity and Cyrus’ decree to restore the temple (Ezra 1:1). In parallel fashion, there would be a time of morning between the 1290 and 1335 prophecies, i.e. How blessed is the one who attains to the 1335.
What is he mourning over? Is it related to the end of the 70th year captivity? (i.e. the 3rd year of Cyrus is the 70th year). Is Daniel mourning/praying that God will fulfill His promise? Or is it the time of the Passover (1st month 24th day) and Daniel is worshipping/fasting because there is no sanctuary to celebrate the Passover. It’s possible Daniel is recognizing when the Passover would have been held and is reverencing this time.
That this is the 70th year is a big deal. This is the end of the captivity. Daniel is mourning and we get a glimpse into the spiritual warfare that is going on at the same time for the same length of time, i.e. Michael has to intervene to enable Daniel to receive a message.
Again, why 21 days? Why does God allow spiritual warfare to go on for this long? God could have removed the Prince of Persia and allow Daniel to receive the message all the sooner? Sure, but why does God allow 21 days to go by? Maybe the same way He sovereignly allows spiritual warfare to go on today. Should we pursue prayer and fasting and mourning in times of trouble? Certainly. Why 21 days?
We don’t have an exact answer other than it provides a historical template between the 1290 and 1335 time prophecies. That is, the pattern that happens in literal Israel is repeated in spiritual Israel. Not on the same time scale, but the same pattern.
Actually, it's not that complicated. Whether it's a storm, a plague, a talking ass, a prepared fish or killing 185,000 soldiers in a single night's work God does things at times to direct the affairs of men. When a nudge in the right direction is needed to keep things moving along to an "appointed time" we can expect Him to use his powers. In this case, Daniel 10:13 is just a matter-of-fact recounting of what's going on "behind the scenes". The speaker was engaged with a Persian prince and, apparently, not making the headway required so Michael came to assist in the endeavor. Daniel was praying and fasting for 3 weeks (10:2 and 10:3) and the angel indicates that Daniel was heard but the words for Daniel were delayed 3 weeks (21 days). No mystery there. For me, the interesting part is this angel might hang around from about 490 BC (The time of the visitation) until the Greeks come along in 332 BC (10:20). It's a minor thing but many good preachers gives ARTAXERXES FINAL decree as the starting point of the 70 weeks until messiah.(Jewish rabbis refuses to let fellow Jews study this)
Remember too..?it was ARTAXERXES who inquired of Nehemiah about why he was so down trodden. Nehemiah responded, The temple hadn't been built even though Cyrus and Darious had both issued decrees allowing them to go back but there were some letters sent to Cyrus from others warning Cyrus if he allowed them to go back and rebuild everything... Judahs' God, our God, would be with them and they'd become mighty again so Cyrus nor Darious helped them rebuild the temple and city as did ARTAXERXES who ordered all his princes over different cities to help them as well as sending the temple utensils back!

Kings of the south and north are not countries. There are two different kings in Daniel 11 for the south.
This appears to be a variation of a preterist perspective. Half right , but half not properly understood. You are right in saying Antiochus is not the fulfillment of the lawless one but he is a similitude..namely the one the Lord mentions in John 5:43.. same one in 2 Thes 2:3. You are obviously a believer. But I disagree with your eschatological approach because it simply creates more problems than it solves.. Lots of contrivance and shoe horning... Think a closer study of the Olivet discourse would yield a more accurate perspective. Mathew and Mark different from Luke. Mathew says after , Luke says before simply put... very similar.. but a closer look might show that although similar Luke was probably making references to some events during his time( not all ) , whereas Mathew was referring to those things yet future or on our near horizon in our time.. You may want to consider our Daniel 1 video. We summarize the entire book of Daniel in two verses. This is another key to understand all the time prophecies. The pattern of literal Israel (Judah) in captivity in literal Babylon is repeated for spiritual Israel (the Church) and captivity in spiritual Babylon. Just as Israel (Judah) came out of Babylon after 70 literal years, so too is the Church coming out of spiritual Babylon. Greater light is being shed on the scriptures.

I do not agree with your interpretation of Dan 11. I believe you inject Rome much to early in the prophecy. 1st, you did not go verse by verse, a common theme among those who struggle to interpret Daniel, skipping over verses they do not understand. Doing this almost always results in a misleading interpretation. The problem is that Dan 11 has no specific names or places and it can be interpreted to fit different periods of history. Another problem is the different versions/translations of the Bible. The difference of a single word can severely change the meaning of a verse. That is why Dan 9 and the 70 weeks has been misinterpreted since the 2nd century AD because it was translated wrong in the Septuagint! While we capitalize letters to place importance on names, Hebrew does not make this distinguishment and hence the confusion. I have found that going back to the original Hebrew has clarified many things. Dan 11:20 also falls prey to misinterpretation. While נָגַשׂ can mean "tyrannize" it can also mean "tax". So one could also see how 11:20 may be referring to Seleucus IV Philopator and his minister Heliodrus who was his tax collector and went to take the temple treasury to pay for the indemnity still owed from the treaty of Apamea. Philopator was murdered later by Heliodrus fitting Dan 11:20 to the T. So you can see how a single word change can lead one to interpret the verse for Ceaser Augustus or Philopator. Following on in Dan 11:21 Antiochus IV Epiphances was as despicable as they came and also seized power through intrigue. Either one of these interpretations places the abomination of desolation in different years. 164 BC, or 70 AD, or even yet to be fulfilled. Daniel is one of the most interesting prophetic books, and the most confusing and misinterpreted. We may be trying to discern its prophecy until Jesus Christ himself returns to explain it to us. Thanks for your comment. The key to understand Daniel 11 is to study Daniel 8. In Daniel 8, Daniel sees two visions. We explain all of this in our Daniel 8 video. A serious Bible student or theologian who does not recognize the significance of the two visions and their relationship cannot understand Daniel 11. In this video (Daniel 11) we are principally concerned about the framework of Daniel 11. Through the framework we explain how the two visions of Daniel 8 overlay onto Daniel 11. The books of Daniel are not confusing nor should they be misinterpreted. They can be known with confidence. The key is in Daniel 8. (also we will have a video and a study guide that will cover every verse in this chapter to make this very clear...probably sometime in early 2021).
Also, we do not believe that we will be trying to discern prophecy until Jesus Christ returns. We believe that God is restoring His church and bringing greater light upon the scriptures so that we can know exactly what must take place during end-time events before Christ returns. Daniel 11 reads like a history book. It's incredibly accurate. But in verse 40 it goes completely wrong. From verse 40 to 45 the amazing 100% historical accuracy goes completely out the window. Thus historians know with high accuracy when the book of Daniel was written. Also, Darius the Mede never existed.
In Matthew 24:15, Jesus declared that Daniel wrote the book. If we believe the words of Jesus we can be confident Daniel is the primary speaker.
It's important to recognize the power of God in the prophecies to predict the future through His prophets. They are speaking for God. We should find comfort in them because God wants His people to know what is going to take place (Amos 3:7 and Revelation 1:1 - the things which must soon take place)
In addition, we are currently living at the end of Daniel 11 verse 40. Daniel 11:41-45 has not yet taken place. That is, on June 3, 2022, as of the posting of this comment, verse 40 is nearing its end. Verse 41 is about to begin, which is the mark of the beast that will engulf the world. Our entire series is about teaching what the mark of the beast is, why it is what it is, and how it is the last spiritual conflict that will take place on earth before Christ returns.

@@AngelsintheGlen I've heard all this before and every Christian sect invents slightly or hugely different interpretations for the vague prophecies in Daniel. But Daniel 11 is not vague at all, it's super precise. If it wasn't for the catastrophic failure in v40-45 making it obvious what was going on here, it would be very good evidence for a supernatural origin to the bible (as long as there was some way to authenticate when it was written). As it is though, v40-45 is instead very good evidence that the book is a forgery. Daniel 12:4 is another good indication of forgery - a built-in explanation telling the reader why they have not heard of this book until now. Good grief the people in the past must have been gullible!
In any case I don't expect you to be able to accept any of this - you will be incapable of seeing it from an outsider's perspective. But to me this is very obvious and I'm really glad you pointed out the error in Matthew too, in my view it completely destroys the Christianity myth. Though to be honest it's not the only error the author of Matthew makes - there's that hilarious misunderstanding of Zechariah in 21:7 and the whole book is just a heavily edited version of Mark anyway. If you are looking for supernatural evidence regarding the Bible's origins from God Himself, we are marshalling that evidence right now. We will demonstrate the evidence from within the text of the Bible and will show that the Bible is an information grid system. While it was physically written by human hands, the Spirit of God was diffused into their minds and embedded chiastic and parallel block patterns that run through the veins of the OT and NT. It's actually a fractal system that goes on and on. We cannot find an end nor do we believe it is possible. When one sees the evidence (if they are willing to examine it) it will show that the book could not be generated by a human mind. It can only come from a mind that is literally out of this world and beyond our comprehension. The patterns can speak for themselves and one can make their own conclusion as to how they somehow coherently come together over 1500 years and about 40 different authors.

I can't believe I wasted my time watching your interpretation with very little research, Your interpretation don't match the dream of Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel chapter 2. The Abomination that causes desolation is in the 70 weeks prophecy, Mathew 24, Luke 21, that is the destruction of Jerusalem 70 AD. What you don't talk about in your in your videos is the point of view of the fathers of the REFORMATION and the PROTESTANTS the ROME, THE PAPACY IS THE LITTLE HORN, the Antichrist, the Beast, the Horde dress in Scarlett and Babylon.
We agree with you that there is a double application of the Abomination of Desolation. First the literal in physical geographic Jerusalem, then the spiritual against the heavenly Jerusalem (which includes the Church on earth). In Daniel 11 we explain exactly where literal Rome (i.e. the Roman Empire) appears and then also as it continues into the Church-State system of the middle ages. The key to understand Daniel 11 is that Daniel sees two visions in Daniel chapter 8. Those visions are distinct and related. The “chazown” vision is about the 2300 evening and mornings. The “mareh” vision is the 70 weeks. If you watched the Daniel 11 video in its entirety, you would have seen the distinction between those two visions and how they unfold over the course of the entire chapter. Problem is you are very much following the lines of interpretation of the 7th day Adventist movement. That everything has already happened. The latter days are very much up to debate as to when the prophecy is unsealed. I have heard just as convincing arguments that the 2300 days,NOTE EVENINGS & MORNINGS are future literal days not years occurring in the 7 year period of tribulation where the future Antichrist takes control of the reconstituted sacrificial system. The idea that the 2300 evenings and mornings are literal days in the future is (unfortunately) one of the biggest mistakes in the Christian Church today. Christian theologians are making the same mistake as the Pharisees of Ancient Israel. They are applying a literal application to most everything. Take for example the story when Jesus says to “destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up”. How did they respond to Jesus? They said it took 46 years to rebuild this temple. We know Jesus was talking about His body after His death on the cross. Look at how confused Nicodemus was when talking with Jesus ..”how can a man be born when he is old, can he enter a second time into his mothers womb and be born?” We know that Jesus was talking about being born of the Spirit. Look at the women at the well. She said to Jesus “give me some of this water, then I won’t have to come to this well anymore” We know that Jesus was talking about spiritual rivers of living water.
In each of these above examples (John 2, 3, and 4) we see a successive pattern of taking Jesus words literally. In every case, they were wrong (innocently and ignorantly). These are just a few stories that shout out to the Christian Church today, yet many ignore these stories and continue to press ahead with literal interpretations. I’ve just given three. There are many many more.
Just as literal Israel went into Babylonian captivity, so to the Christian Church (spiritual Israel) went into captivity into spiritual Babylon. Patterns like this repeat all across the Bible.
Should we not learn these lessons? Why is the Christian Church repeating the same mistake by making literal interpretations.
It need not be so.
Though the Pharisees had the scriptures, they could not discern the 1st coming of Christ. Though the Christian Church have both the OT and NT scriptures, and plenty of Biblical examples and patterns, they cannot discern the events that must take place before the 2nd return of Christ.
