No, they also saved it on Shidou's dragon drive, and big bang drive, Barou goal, Nagi seishiro goal, Rin flow, people who watch Animes on UA-cam shorts making me confused
@Itzdevjiddedits So because there are sparse moments of animation, with plenty of it having CGI to cover up the lack of animation (like Barou's goal, and a lot of Shidou's as well). People are somehow misguided? No, S2 of Bluelock was dogwater, trash, absolute peak garbage.
Yeah the rest of the animation is bad there's are still pngs , but I only said the moment where it has good animation like what I said, I didn't said rest of the Blue Lock scene has a good animation.
Shidou's Dragon Drive, Shidou's Big Bang Drive, Aiku's shot in ep 13, and Nagi's Goal all had fantastic animation as well so this was not the first and only scene that wasn't either PNG's with the only real animation being CGI or just straight up PNG's.
That's what you get when someone doesn't watch the show and just share the common opinion on it based on misconception. Yes most of the season isn't great like these, but saying everything is PNG lock besides this scene is absolutely disingenuous. In fact all the most important goal this season is actually well animated, but the action leading up to it is definitely not
Blue Lock was never the worst anime of this season. Not even close. What you on about?! I guess you're being overly dramatic for them clicks. So I guess that's fine. Yeah this is the best animated sequence but it still had a few other great scenes.
Besides Shidous goals and Nagi there was nothing else the whole season should’ve been like the itoshi brothers sequence instead of cgi and stiff animation
I can confirm as someone that watches sports and plays video games (MMA and eSports) athlete's often make crazy, even silly faces while performing. It's a habit that helps with concentration, not necessarily to "relax" them, but a muscle memory that they've unconsciously trained which helps mediate complex precise movements and it's actually very common for in some cases to stick their tongues out while trying to be extra precise with something. (My older brother did this a lot while playing fighting games and doing massive combos on me 😂)
Issues I have with this video: 1. "Looking at the art and animation of season 2..." - The animation was lacking, but when was the art ever an issue? 2. Calling Rin the main character multiple times 3. Trying to talk about specifics like the tongue thing even though you dropped the show. Giving interpretations like "obviously it's an added effect to add an edgy layer" without knowing the context. Now I partially agree with you. But the fact that you're willing to make such an interpretation without context troubles me. To me that shows a lack of respect for the creative work. Similar to how it would annoy me if a game reviewer couldn't make it past the tutorial and still gives their opinion on things past that point. I've been subscribed since the No Game No Life days, about 10 years, so I hope it's clear that I'm not trying to be a hater when I say that this video felt especially sloppy. Though really it's just my third point that annoys me. My interpretation of the tongue thing is that it's meant to be an ugly contrast to Sae's "beautiful destruction" and to show how much Rin has changed from how perfectly in control he was when he was introduced. But if someone said they think the tongue thing is because Rin has a concussion from being kicked in the head, I would not be annoyed. I would disagree, but I would not be annoyed because that shows the bare minimum of having watched the previous episodes to know that. That said, to be clear, I do think your comments on the animation up to whatever episode you saw are totally valid.
So the review of Blue Lock season 2 will be 6-7/10, and this season should be better if they prioritized this season before this anime's Nagi movie instead
Although it looked bleak for Blue Lock, there positives that come out of this situation 1. Spreads more awareness about what goes on in the industry 2. The animator responsible for this scene getting the spotlight instead of the whole "they rose the budget" ( Some do say it as a meme) 3. It ended on a very high note
Animation is not the only thing that matters. Things like storytelling , character development, world building, etc matter. I continued to watch Blue Lock despite its animation issues because those elements, which are more important to me than animation, were still there. And I had a blast watching it. It was hype & fun as ever. I did not, on the other hand, have fun watching Dan da Dan. Despite its shiny animation, Dan da Dan was very boring. Every episode felt exactly the same. It was very repetitive. By episode 4, I was already bored but I continued to watch. But it never stopped to build its characters or world better. It was just yokai or alien battles every single episode, non-stop. But, I guess it might win anime of the year since the only thing that people seem to care about is how pretty something looks like. I guess that’s also why Demon Slayer is so popular. Appearance is the only thing that matters. I don’t hear anybody say that they are going to drop something like Demon Slayer because it’s pacing & storytelling is really lackluster & its characters are flat & one dimensional. Nope as long as it looks pretty, it’s a masterpiece 🙄
Blue Lock is great in terms of story telling and character developement however you don't need an Anime for that. Just read the manga especially considering how great the art is in the manga. An Anime is supposed to have good animation. That's it's selling point.
Look at what happened with berserk 2016-17. Berserk is one of the most acclaimed manga in the industry, but because that anime was so bad, it makes it harder to recommend anything outside of the golden age. Production can kill an anime, whether it has an amazing story or not.
The reason for Rin having his tongue out is to contrast his brother sae who plays soccer beautifully and calculated while Rins playstyle is like a dirty and destructive style for his personal ego.

Read the manga! About the anime, Blue Lock has been steadly getting better since the second half of the season. Ep 2 was the worst, pure garbage, then it improved to mediocrity by ep 4, steady improved until it got good in ep 10, vey good by ep 12, to great on ep 13 and absolute cinema on ep 14. agreed, also the anime has alot of talking during the match . did people forget football is a fast paced game and if they animate them running and stuff there is no way they will be able to talk out their internal dialogue and thought processes.
Calling this the worst anime of the season is definitely a stretch. Ever since shidou was added into the match everything was slowly getting better and better, blue lock was the only show besides Re:Zero that got me wanting to come back and watch it the second the next episode dropped. Even with the tragedy that was the animation 90% of the time, the atmosphere and story in general was still great.
First 6 episodes were ass but i feel like since episode 7 when the big match began, slowly but surely it started to pick up some pace, even tho they have still frames prevalent, the hype moments makes u zone out the bad moments (kinda how the second part of season 1 was, they had a lot of stillframes there too but when the shit would hit the fan there would still be minimal movement and absolutely hype moments) and thats where season 2 part 1 fumbled imo, even the hype moments where still frames.
The story is what made me keep up with it even though the animation was poor. The art was good. This episode felt like a thank you for sticking with us from the animators. The blue lock movie probably used up the animation budget and personnel
I can't blame you for dropping the show but blue lock means something to me more than it does the average viewer probably. It unironically improved my life and made me better at everything I do 😭
Dropping the show just for animation reason is kind of a bad take. Yeah the animation was lacking but the story and the cast is good enough.i enjoyed watching s2 and seeing where it’s gonna go. But they do need to reanimate s2.
"Where was this in the entire season of Blue Lock S2?" Bro's reaction is exactly the same to the reactions of the last episode of Kana's live action work in Oshi no Ko
Blue Lock was FAR from the worst anime this season lol. Starting from Ep 6 this season of Blue Lock was actually at least decent and had some well animated moments strewn here and there (Nagi's goal in ep 7, Rin and Sae's backstory in ep9, Shidou's goal in ep 10, Shidou's 2nd goal in ep 11, Barou's goal in ep 12, and Aiku's shot in ep 13) and ofc the entire Rin vs Sae + Isagi's goal sequence in ep 14. It's just that episodes 2 - 5 were very bad with all the PNG's.
Asking for an entire reanimated season 2 is so unreasonable tho that I can't take your opinion seriously on this one. Also "worst anime of the season" like what? Bluelock season 2 is watchable and still better than more than half of the stuff from this season. And this wasn't the only episode that had good or decent animation, most of the goals were at least decent animated or even godly like Shidou's. I think you are letting your already-existing bias against Bluelock lead you to these conclusions a bit too much.
i think if the studio decide to re-animate Season 2 it would probably be the first three episode because that's the trash part for a PNG animation. the rest of U-20 match it's just okay in terms of animation quality
Nah he just does that naturally when he’s really focused. He was doing it when he was a kid. Even Sae calls it out when he says “So you can still make that face?”
Blue Lock is really exceeding expectations and proving all of us wrong. Chibi Reviews I think it's a sign that Blue Lock is learning from its mistakes and changing for the better you shouldn't be a defeatist when it comes to how Blue Lock is improving as I think it's bettering itself.
Nah every goal in Blue Lock s2 was well animated and Hype af, from the build up to goal celebrations was 🔥. That's why every episode managed to get high ratings in IMDB, up there with Bleach and Dandadan despite the animation being sub par. The final episode just killed it.💯👌
pretty sure that season 3 was greenlit a few episodes into season 2. hopefully meaning that it gets a more generous production schedule since there's no movie messing that schedule up and the fact that they would likely want it to air at the same time as the 2026 world cup to help boost its relevance similar to what happened with season 1.
2 minutes does not redeem 14 episodes worth of still frames. If it wasn't for the plot and story carrying the show noone would care about this anime even if it did have good animation.
Despite the animation controversy, I ignored the naysayers and kept watching. The U-20 arc is my favorite story arc and I knew they would make good on the decisive moment (Isagi's final kick). That being said, 8bit has to do better. When you mistreat staff you get what the viewers got for the past few weeks. The upcoming season, which is drawn with more complexity in the manga, needs to return to what made the first season so good.
anyone who thinks this was the worst anime pf the season is on fking drugs just u didnt get fkin s tier animation every episode but it wasnt that bad and the story held it up pretty well
I never stopped watching blue lock season 2 even though animation is bad because its still was fun and good, i mean i enjoyed reading manga which is straight up illustration and it's fun. We have remember that sometimes Great story will always make it fun even if the animation isn't good
I don't think this redeems shit. Okay the climax scene has more than 1 frame per minute, but the most amazing arc of the top selling manga of 2023 is a glorified PowerPoint. I hate it. This only rubs salt in a "what could have been" sorta way. Imagine Nagi's goal or Shidou's goals with this same effort. This was supposed to be an absolutely glorious season of anime, and instead it's the laughingstock. I laugh about it a lot but it's sad, and I'm sad about it.
Nah, we need a reanimated Season 2 like this

agreed, also the anime has alot of talking during the match . did people forget football is a fast paced game and if they animate them running and stuff there is no way they will be able to talk out their internal dialogue and thought processes.
Rin is not the main character 😂
Calling this the worst anime of the season is definitely a stretch. Ever since shidou was added into the match everything was slowly getting better and better, blue lock was the only show besides Re:Zero that got me wanting to come back and watch it the second the next episode dropped. Even with the tragedy that was the animation 90% of the time, the atmosphere and story in general was still great.
Definitely wasn't the worst of the season but I'm glad they really did the series justice when it really mattered ***tower of god we're looking at you
11-14 was great
This isn't good enough to redeem the whole season
I mean true but this is better than the whole series big moments combined
Bro called rin the "main character"
It unironically improved my life and made me better at everything I do 😭
Tower gods season 2 animation need some treatment.
Dropping the show just for animation reason is kind of a bad take. Yeah the animation was lacking but the story and the cast is good enough.i enjoyed watching s2 and seeing where it’s gonna go. But they do need to reanimate s2.
Thats not the main character its Itoshi Rin but i won't blame u bluelock makes everyone look like the Main character thats really good from it
"Where was this in the entire season of Blue Lock S2?"
Bro's reaction is exactly the same to the reactions of the last episode of Kana's live action work in Oshi no Ko
Bro keeps calling Rin the main character smh
I watched all of season 2 today and I enjoyed the ride but that ending goal animation was so good
Blue Lock was FAR from the worst anime this season lol.
This is where the whole budget went
Asking for an entire reanimated season 2 is so unreasonable tho that I can't take your opinion seriously on this one.
Also "worst anime of the season" like what? Bluelock season 2 is watchable and still better than more than half of the stuff from this season. And this wasn't the only episode that had good or decent animation, most of the goals were at least decent animated or even godly like Shidou's.
I think you are letting your already-existing bias against Bluelock lead you to these conclusions a bit too much.
I knew this would happen. I knew that Eight bit wouldn't let us down. I'm so glad I stuck with this season until the end.
Hey chibi, what are your thoughts on tower of god season 2?
i think if the studio decide to re-animate Season 2 it would probably be the first three episode because that's the trash part for a PNG animation. the rest of U-20 match it's just okay in terms of animation quality
I'm not going to lie sometimes you don't even realize your tongue is out. It's just you being super hyper focused.
Rin's tongue is hanging out because he just got kicked in the head and he probably has a concussion
The final episode just killed it.💯👌
That’s Rin, not the main character Isagi
Chibi do a tower of god video or do you think we get a season 3?
pretty sure that season 3 was greenlit a few episodes into season 2. hopefully meaning that it gets a more generous production schedule since there's no movie messing that schedule up and the fact that they would likely want it to air at the same time as the 2026 world cup to help boost its relevance similar to what happened with season 1.
They gonna drop something like Episode Aiku and we gonna have PNG Lock again lmao
Anyways World Cup boost!!!
If not full season remake, just make a full movie type one of u-20 arc then full money and popularity without png stuff 📈🥶👀💯💥
3:08 i might be going too far but maybe even Season 1 cuz bro this current episode is so good...
Wouldn't say redeem but it finally gave is a what we should of been getting 😭
Its gonna feel weird when i start watching season 2 on this episode
Slime season 4 and that Movie finna go crazy and imagine season 5.
The worst anime Thais Eason is crazy but maybe about the animation but other than that what is not to love
They should just remake season 2 as a movie with this animation before season 3 comes out. That would be dope af 🔥
Yeah, they need to give them alot more time for S3 🔥
anyone who thinks this was the worst anime pf the season is on fking drugs
just u didnt get fkin s tier animation every episode but it wasnt that bad
and the story held it up pretty well
Tbf, it was bad in comparison to season 1
Yeah the final episode of Blue Lock was 🔥
If they think they gonna get me to warch season 3 with only 1 great final episode. Hell to the no 😂
episode 8 and up the animation picked up amazingly
“The seven deadly still frames” 😂😂😂
Finally they fixed it although it should be from the first episode 😂
For the tongue coming out of the mouth. Itoshi sae playstyle is beautiful destruction while itoshi rin playstyle is a contrast being ugly destruction.
Everyone awakend during U-20 even the animators
I never stopped watching blue lock season 2 even though animation is bad because its still was fun and good, i mean i enjoyed reading manga which is straight up illustration and it's fun. We have remember that sometimes Great story will always make it fun even if the animation isn't good
They finnaly adapted the motion manga into an anime
They didn't fix it , thoses first episodes still exist...
