There isn't a word being spoken about the December 18th document by the bishops and priests in Ireland, it was the same with the abortion. The silence is deafening. So each generation taught the next! The teachings of the Church blend with the telling of the tale..and are rooted in so many many of us. Ireland is here too..in millions of hearts. Also 30 years ago I sculpted a statue of Our Blessed Mother like the one of her at Guadalupe but with her already holding baby Jesus and no stars on her mantle. At that time I did not even know about the apparition at Guadalupe until someone I made the statue for told me what I had done and that i needed to paint on the stars as well.

I couldn't agree with that in my opinion, we are a very different Country and clerghy are very much in favour of the direction the Vatican are pointed in .
We are very much tip toeing around other religious beliefs that are totally opposed to catholic Christians.
But on a positive note , presentations like these are full of good traditional spirit , holy spirit .
You generate an uplifting energy so badly needed for us all .
But this current Ireland is seriously close to total abandon to Jesus and his Gospels.

Thank you. I am at the moment in a nursing home for respite for 2 weeks and I noticed that the home has an oratory. No one uses the oratory except on Sunday for Holy Mass. Couldn't we have Eucharistic Adoration for 1 hour per day. I will try to have it here but what I was thinking is that there are so many old people in nursing homes round the country and should it not be possible to have it all over the country. Look at the healing that would happen if this could take place. As the convents close we would have an enormous amount of prayer going on. Just an idea to ponder on.

Entire Church not called to mere "positivity", even tho I see where u are trying to go in all good faith. But as countless saintly Popes have proclaimed, we're called to nothing less than to become warriors under our Lady; called to fight to re-establish the Kingship of Christ over His entire earth. To "wrest back the Crown that has been stolen from Him" as Bishop Carlo Vigano recently wrote. Now THAT's positivity. Focus on the Kingship of Christ like a laser. As St. Michael's war cry and very name means,"Who is like God?"

  • @kitstr

The church is not “bible based” because the bible is church-based. The church is historically and logically antecedent to the bible. The bible has to be interpreted like a family album, by the body of Christians who created it, in the Spirit who inspired it.

I'm a late 80s baby and was lucky enough to grow up in a primary school that took religious education very seriously. I used to absolutely adore the stories of the Gospels when I was a kid. The focus on getting us involved in Nativity plays every Christmas (as is, or at least was, such a big Irish tradition) used to steep us in the joy and comfort of Jesus as kids. Preparing for First Communion and Confirmation was genuinely exciting for reasons beyond the "modern" monetary greed, parties, clothes etc. Faith in Ireland was still strong enough at the time to make it feel like we were being a part of something beautiful. It used to be the best feeling, and truly a very unique feeling that only comes from Him. Unfortunately though, all of this vanished over the years as I grew up and ignored it all. I quite honestly don't think I have been to confession since my Confirmation. On the very few times I have gone to Church over the years for social obligations (weddings, Christenings, funeral etc) I have received the Eucharist a number of times with a FILTHY soul, with no consideration for what I was doing and no respect for what and Who I was receiving. It was always just because "Oh well other people are going up so might as well." This past Christmas though, as we naturally became exposed to the annual stories of the birth of Jesus, something happened to me that I can only explain as the Holy Spirit completely obliterating whatever apathetic lock I had put on my faith over the years and everything came rushing back to me as if it never left. I have absolutely no idea why this happened, I was seeking nothing, but BANG, He was there. I feel Him with me everywhere since, and honestly it's so strong at times that I don't know how to handle it with any sort of worthiness. I can't say I hear Him saying anything to me but as far as feelings go, the only way I can describe it is that I'm being called for some reason, to do something I don't know what...and that He wants my soul cleaned. I don't know why He wants anything to do with me to be honest. SOMETHING is coming, my friends! HE is coming! The air is thick with it. I feel it in my bones more than anything I've ever felt in my 35 years of life, and if people like me who are nothing and nobody important are being called after so many years of ignorance...my friends, we need to listen and pray thanks that we are lucky to have found Him. Most precious blood of Jesus Christ, save us and the whole world!

How about looking at the history of St Patrick, who was actually a gospel missionary-not an Roman Catholic. Interesting thing is everyone overlooks the Fact that Patrick was a missionary that kept the Jewish Sabbath. Therefore all of his followers were Saturday keeping Christians. It was Rome who decided to target Ireland with Catholict Missionaries. Eventually after 400 years the Sabbath was changed to Sunday Worship. Then the Gospel which taught the free grace of Salvation became a gospel that taught salvation could only be achieved by the rituals of the Roman Church. In other words, you either accept the Roman Catholic beliefs of Salvation or you cannot be saved period. This position is not Bible based. ‘ it’s by grace we are saved through faith, not through works least any man should boast.’ Romans.

Thanks Robert. I agree with your positive approach to the faith in Ireland. For over 50 years I have the privilege of praying and ministering in Ireland my homeland, and I find many wonderful holy people. Of course there are many things that have gone wrong, THE CHURCH IS THE BRIDE OF CHRIST - it's the people in the church all of us we are sinners -but we must not allow the enemy to magnify sin, but preach Jesus. I have seen wonderful conversions. In giving parish missions in Ireland I meet so many people who have such a hunger for Jesus and the Eucharist. Also, Robert, the latefather, Kevin Scallon, and myself with the core group of priests have been directing the intercession for priest for 49 years. Next year will be 50th anniversary of intercession for priests still vibrant, So Robert thank you for giving the positive message and encouraging all of us who are Irish to do our part to spread the good news of the gospel. God bless your work, and may you bring a renewal of faith to all who listen to your programs please pray for Father, Pablo, and myself, who travel the world given missions and priest, retreats will be in Ireland for two parish missions during lent, God bless you, praying for you. sister, Briege, McKenna OSC

Satanists steal the consecrated hosts because they know Jesus is truly present unlike the man made Faiths who removed 7 Holy Books and added the WORD ALONE after the WORD Faith which is very misleading. We do not abandon Jesus and his Church because of the sins and errors of Fallen Man, we stand with Jesus who says the gates of Hell will not prevail against my Church. So much to learn and so little time.❤
