Bro Since it came out I’ve met two communities on Xbox and PlayStation and it was some of the best times I’ve even been in Stevies lobbies, 60 person chats tandems almost every day some of the best closest coolest drifting you can do in this game and I’m afraid the community is about to take a huge shift and die out there are to many good drifting games for people to try and learn this new lower version when what we had was manageable is perfect

Glad you pointed out the camera bug. But also when you tap the hand brake it jerks the camera to the direction of the car rather then the drift. Makes them unusable in races IMO.
Yeah I second this. I like the way the camera worked before the update. You tap the handbrake and the camera goes all weird. Wonder if there is a way to turn the camera back to the way it was....
Im not surprised that the drift tune got nerfted, this is the same thing that happened to lowgrip before it got released for all cars. I miss prime lowgrip 😢
Man I hope if we don’t get it by the end of this but hopefully in gta 6 we can customize any car the way we want like any car you can put drift on it or even just regular customization and one big one for me with say pickups being able to raise them then lower I know some trucks like an s10 style look ok lowered but say that new Yosemite 1500 would look so good if ya cld jack it up and put bigger tires on it

They’ve added hocus pokus to the game, and a Sam’s club, “we already have that at home” version of cops and crooks along with police vehicles to the game.. but guess what we still can’t do? Buy a fuggin boat and launch it at the docks. Buy a fuggin trailer and haul it. Buy a fuggin Flatbed trailer and haul IT around. Buy a fuggin burger. Know what we can do though? Be kidnapped by aliens.
OK, so... It took them like what, 9 years to add drift handling? Modders did it in a year, maybe 2 years. And now suddenly, for no apparent reason, after half a year they decided to nerf it. But at the same time they've been nerfing Oppressor for something about 2 years. It feels like Rockstar are fucking trolls sabotaging their own product. A pile of mistakes, pathetic shortcomings and ridiculous decisions. I think they gave up on RDR online because they couldn't do anything without screwing up something that was working. If GTA 6 will be the same piece of crap wrapped in gold paper as GTA 5 n RDR, then fuck this shit.
That makes more sense. Someone else was saying that they tweaked the tires and added grip. But i think your right that they nerfed upgrades in freemode.
other thing i hope they fix with the drifting is that in third person you can visibly see your character actually counter steering or hand over hand steering but in first person its two hands on the wheel (forget that spinning style)
The 3rd person camera is fucked too, at least in my sentinel wide body, everytime you press handbrake it tries resetting the camera straight so basically impossible to drift, rockstar logic.

Yeah I noticed this more after I released the video, I tend to use the normal brakes more than the handbrake which is why I didn't immediately notice. Seems like the camera wants to work until the handbrake resets it. Not sure how they could fumble something so simple 💀
They need to add drift tuning to the old jester (mk4 supra) and old elegy (r32/r34) since they are now too slow to compete in their respective class. Itd breath some new life into them.
They could've added the drift tuning for so many cars that already were in the game, but they're too lazy and greedy to do it. I would've loved to have the drift tuning on the cheburek since its a very popular drift car here in Russia.
do cars benefit from ems, engine, break tuning before you add the drift tuning? tooltip says no, but i heard on other yt channels that it is beneficial to tune engine, ems and breaks before applying the drift tuning
They need to make so many more cars drift/tuner tunable. If bandwidth is a problem, just use AI to carry the tunes over to the files and let it run overnight. You could have new files for every car if you wanted.

It technically was a "bugged" system that Rockstar was trying to fix (at least that's what I think their perspective on this is). However, the system is just so fundamentally flawed that I didn't even think messing with it like this was necessary.
One thing I noticed was that it costs 700k to remove drift tune from the sentinel widebody (only tested it on one new drift car) instead of 50k. Not sure if it's just a bug or inflation hitting really hard.
What I think is a massive L in this update and it's concerning the Nebula Turbo.. So they added the drift tuning to the car and yet they haven't given us the option to remove the stupid sunstrip that makes the car undriveable in first person.. I don't know how many times I begged Rockstar to add the option to remove that shit from that car as it's one of my favorite cars of all time in real life (Volvo)... That is the biggest dissappointement for me..
Yeah that is definitely another bug associated with it. I honestly thought it was a fluke but it does seem to be tied to the handbrake; otherwise the 3rd person drift camera seems to work like normal.

The original Drift Tuning cars had this flag removed, and they still do. All 3 of the new cars retain this flag, if you are not touching your camera at all, and you tap handbrake while drifting, it will force your chase camera line up with your rear bumper, so usually sideways from where you are actually traveling

I so desperately want laws to be passed so companies can't farm players wallets. Reminds me of when the AS VAL released on MW 2019 and the gun could shoot through every wall with a simple magazine upgrade AND they released a $40 pack with a perfectly setup blueprint for the glitched rounds. Like how is this legal.
Not it free mode it wasnt my guy. Drifting in free mode was like drifting when it first come out but drifting in races is awful, now its awful to drift both in races and free mode.

weird how they add a car thats highly cool for drifting IRL (the 300zx) and dont give it drift tuning tbh they could easily add more drift cars they just dont cause they know they can capitalize on it once the game gets stale again
Allow any car to equip the drift tune but only allow suitable cars to enter drift races. Just like the low grip tires and the tuner races. They were brought out in the same update, any car can equip the low grip tires that were made for the tuners but only the specific tuner cars can enter the tuner races.
Typical rockstar. 1 step forward, 10 steps back. I took a long hiatus and just recently came back for x2 Dre Contract. Initially, i was okay with the nerf only affecting races. But this just ensured i exit stage left again. These imbeciles dont deserve the amount of time ive spent in this game. It's just as infuriating as CoD. As long as the trend continues, i won't be back for GTA 6.
I think everyone was waiting when R* to add the ZR380 without the damn armor from arena wars, added drift to elegy and dinka classic, added elegy gtr34 and elegy rh7 will have a body kit

I’m just excited we got anything related to drifting tbh. Didn’t really expect much but being able to create drift races will be pretty nice. Plenty of roads the homies and I have been using that would make great runs.
I dont even like the rt3000 that much but it should be made a drift car. Only right. And I agree with Stevie, Elegy would be nice seeing drift-eligible. I think the jugular would be kind of cool. Nice sounding car, NOT top priority as their is better options. Just thought of a new option from out of nowhere as I’m watching: F IT.. Give us a Drift F-40. Now THAT’S what we call (an Update)
hello just thought i’d add to this, happy we finally got some ubermachts in the drift scene and new livery for some drift cars especially the tampa the kblock homage was aight but dam there was no style on that car. aside from the couple of pros we got at the beginning of this update and a couple more cool things coming but knowing R* they’ll find a way to let us down on the amg hammer coming + this new bounty business is not it at all will not be investing in it unless they slash the price on it and all of the upgrades
They should’ve left all drift tunes as that of free mode, in races it’s stupid slow and now it’s slow in free mode as well smh, they could’ve just made them faster, slow drifts are boring
Totally agree my man. They could've allowed us to upgrade the cars like normal and that would've prevented so many headaches. Such a flawed implementation of a fun system.
Yeah that definitely is another bug about the drift camera on the new drift cars - I didn't really notice it much since I use left-foot braking a lot more than the handbrake.
Me and my crew were just talking about this and couldn’t fully tell yet cause it was just a few of us so we weren’t positive if it was us or the cars buggin.😂 It’s sad to see but I can understand if they are trying to balance everything out for new drifters. Have you tested or talked to anyone that’s messed with the colors, under glow colors, roll cage, interior add on’s messing with the weight after the update? Me and a few buddy’s before the update messed with that stuff and the brighter the color the lighter the car and the darker the color the heavier the car was, same for the under glow. The roll cage, interior add on’s and stuff would make it heavier as well! I wasn’t sure if it was a placebo effect or not but we had multiple people test it and most of us said it wasn’t! It’ll be interesting to test and see how everything affects the cars now! (My personal favorite of the new drift capable cars is the nebula turbo, it’s definitely different but I feel that’s my favorite part, it has a good power band, great angle and could keep/recover angle and proximity.) 🤙🏽🤝
Really makes me upset try finally add a 300zx z32 and don’t even give it a drift tune option further more you can’t even stance glitch it and the customization are just lazyyyy. Also would it have killed them to add some drift tunes to muscle cars in this update ?!? Firebird and mustang woulda been nice to proper slide around in. Weak imo

Put some low grips on and try dbl clutchin some car overall do suck….unfortunately
rockstar really likes to do a great update and then nerf and change all of the handling some months later......
That's why my drift cars felt so much more grippy and not much drifty like, I hate R* doing this and it's made me slowly leave drifting all together

@gasiorek6621 drift tune removes low grips, and if you apply them (with mods), the cars are actually grippier.

I contacted rockstar and got no help with it they told me to file a complaint.

One thing I like about the DLC. The Yosemite 1500 is spongy and fun to drive. I'm excited for the Futo, but i'll stick to my Remus :)

Not in freemode it wasn't. I have results showing that both in this video and my past video on the topic.

whats the point in nerfing it in freemode? it doesnt help you win and make money like it would in races. rockstar is horrible

Allow any car to equip the drift tune but only allow suitable cars to enter drift races. Just like the low grip tires and the tuner races. They were brought out in the same update, any car can equip the low grip tires that were made for the tuners but only the specific tuner cars can enter the tuner races.

Typical rockstar. 1 step forward, 10 steps back. I took a long hiatus and just recently came back for x2 Dre Contract. Initially, i was okay with the nerf only affecting races. But this just ensured i exit stage left again. These imbeciles dont deserve the amount of time ive spent in this game. It's just as infuriating as CoD. As long as the trend continues, i won't be back for GTA 6.

Im a little disappointed that the new Euros x32 doesnt have Drift tuning, but it does have HSW so thats definitely a bonus
I think everyone was waiting when R* to add the ZR380 without the damn armor from arena wars, added drift to elegy and dinka classic, added elegy gtr34 and elegy rh7 will have a body kit

Drifting is dead. Cypher is undriftable basically. Going to try the others but this sucks.

Is it me or does it look like cars aren’t actually converted to 4wd drive anymore once upgraded to the drift tune??
They're all still AWD, no change there. Remember that the AWD system is RPM-dependent, so it might be hard to notice.
@@StevieWunderKid I actually realized recently that they are still awd, but they adjusted more of the power to the rear wheels than what it was like before
I’m just excited we got anything related to drifting tbh. Didn’t really expect much but being able to create drift races will be pretty nice. Plenty of roads the homies and I have been using that would make great runs.

Nice sounding car, NOT top priority as their is better options. Just thought of a new option from out of nowhere as I’m watching: F IT.. Give us a Drift F-40.

hello just thought i’d add to this, happy we finally got some ubermachts in the drift scene and new livery for some drift cars especially the tampa the kblock homage was aight but dam there was no style on that car. aside from the couple of pros we got at the beginning of this update and a couple more cool things coming but knowing R* they’ll find a way to let us down on the amg hammer coming + this new bounty business is not it at all will not be investing in it unless they slash the price on it and all of the upgrades
and why nerf the tune again for freemode ridiculous overall weak ass update especially with the goofy drip feed line up
They should’ve left all drift tunes as that of free mode, in races it’s stupid slow and now it’s slow in free mode as well smh, they could’ve just made them faster, slow drifts are boring
Totally agree my man. They could've allowed us to upgrade the cars like normal and that would've prevented so many headaches. Such a flawed implementation of a fun system.
Am I the only one who noticed the camera is broken when hitting the handbrake in the "new" vehicles? I went right back to the Remus
Yeah that definitely is another bug about the drift camera on the new drift cars - I didn't really notice it much since I use left-foot braking a lot more than the handbrake.

Me and my crew were just talking about this and couldn’t fully tell yet cause it was just a few of us so we weren’t positive if it was us or the cars buggin.😂 It’s sad to see but I can understand if they are trying to balance everything out for new drifters. Have you tested or talked to anyone that’s messed with the colors, under glow colors, roll cage, interior add on’s messing with the weight after the update? Me and a few buddy’s before the update messed with that stuff and the brighter the color the lighter the car and the darker the color the heavier the car was, same for the under glow. The roll cage, interior add on’s and stuff would make it heavier as well! I wasn’t sure if it was a placebo effect or not but we had multiple people test it and most of us said it wasn’t! It’ll be interesting to test and see how everything affects the cars now! (My personal favorite of the new drift capable cars is the nebula turbo, it’s definitely different but I feel that’s my favorite part, it has a good power band, great angle and could keep/recover angle and proximity.) 🤙🏽🤝
Really makes me upset try finally add a 300zx z32 and don’t even give it a drift tune option further more you can’t even stance glitch it and the customization are just lazyyyy.

Make sure you're using the Widebody-upgraded Sentinel Classic. You need to go to Benny's for that before you can equip drift tuning.
