My daughter took tamil as her mother tongue in school … she struggle with it speaking wise but really good in reading and writing tamil ..she also know Bengali .. always speaking in English becomes-we stay in Singapore … my all time fav South Indian food are rasam .. vadai …. Karuvadu curry…. Bengali will be Hilsa fish in banana leaves … mutton curry … I also love palak paneer and naan .. Tamil is so rich in culture and Bengali too .. So it has nothing to do with emotion or devotion. Different Tamils use different vocabulary and have different accents. So get used to the facts instead of thinking its something genius or outside the world. At least , Sri Lankan Tamils speak a little bit Tamil despite being born raised abroad, Indian Tamils don't even Speak good Tamil in Tamil Nadu and speak some non sense English.
