I suggest watching Teddy Ninja's videos. He has videos with Pool 1 decks and how to transition or build once you reach pool 2 and 3. He also shows how to pilot each deck.
I just wanted to say I think it's really cool that you include games of you losing with these decks. Marvel Snap isn't about win rate. It's about the cubes and the decisions that get you there. I find it really helpful to see you not only make correct decisions but incorrect ones as well. Watching you make a 'mistake,' acknowledge it and learn helps me do the same, which helps me become a better player far more than some blow-out highlight ever could!
I went from being burnt out on LoR. And randomly found snap and started playing it quite a bit. Was just wondering how your content was doing and I see that the man, the myth, the legend is also on the snap train. Good shit lol
As someone who just finished Pool 2 this video series is gonna be a blessing. One cool thing you could do is point out a temporary P1 or P2 card alternative (if possible) to the upgrade that you are eventually going to find in Pool 3. For example, that On-Going deck also works decently well with Onslaught or Hulk as a fill-in for Destroyer.
Well, another option for Destroyer, but also a Pool 3 card, is Wong. "WOngoing" is a popular deck, that basically just uses Wong to double Spectrum's triggers. (Though some people try to build it with a lot of low cost Ongoing cards, just as cheap high value bodies, like Goose, Ant-Man, Ebony Maw.)

Punisher, Mr. Fantastic and Prof. X are all subpar choices for this version of the deck because you really wants to focus on dropping everything in 2 lanes whilst leaving 1 open. This makes it so: * The opponent can play around Punisher very easily. Plus Warpath and Claw are a dead giveaway that there's a lane you aren't going to invest in. * Mr. Fantastic doesn't really get much (if any) value out of his effect, he's better off in decks that want to swarm all 3 lanes. And you already have way better turn 3 plays anyways. * Prof. X makes your gameplan extremelly limiting and it's a grief more often than not. It's a similar reason as to why this version of On-Going tends to run Sunspot over Ebony Maw. You also already have plenty of better turn 5 plays.
@@madnessobserver I just don't see how Hulk is ever going to be a viable turn 6 play. The difference between 12 and 16 power is massive. Professor X is a staple of Spectrum decks. Comparing Ebony Maw to Professor X is not fair because Ebony Maw doesn't let you swarm a location (which is exactly what a Spectrum deck wants to do), while Professor X seals a location which you already have swarmed before a Spectrum buff, which is huge since you can reinforce a location after it's sealed while your opponent can't. Also he's much better if you have Daredevil but sadly he's a pool 3 card and not everyone has him. Mr. Fantastic and Punisher I proposed because they are generic good cards that can lower the curve while providing sinergy with a Spectrum deck. Spectrum wants to swarm the board so having a good amount of 2 and 3 drops gives flexibility to your curve. I prefer Mr. Fantastic to Punisher because he has a bit more utility for contesting locations like Death's Domain or Luke's bar, but they are deck filler to smooth the curve basically (unlike Hulk which is just a brick). Also exactly for this reason (a smooth curve with lots of 2 and 3 drops) Sunspot is terrible in Spectrum decks. You should never bank mana on a Spectrum deck and if you are getting value out of Sunspot either you got an unlucky draw and you are going to lose anyway or you built the deck wrong. Onslaught I can see the merit because of his sinergy with Claw, Warpath and Iron Man, but I haven't tried him. I'd guess that in most games you would still play Spectrum on turn 6 but he can be a good plan B.
Great content as always! As someone who just entered pool 3, I would love this series to continue. I recently got Mystique and Psylocke so any decks with either card would be amazing.
Lucky you :) Wong is pretty simple, take a good on reveal cards and go , the combo Wong into white tiger or wong black panther and finish with Odin turn 6
I really like this! I'm having a very hard time at early pool 3 because for some reason (probably my rank, derank from 87 to 80) i am only facing ppl with full build meta decks from pool 3, which is so frustrating because they are straight up stronger then anything else in pool 2
Definitely would prefer these kind of videos with a maximum of 1 pool 3 card that just amplifies the concept of the deck. Also recommendations for substitute cards would be great

I've been running Prof X in my version instead of Klaw. I just find Prof to be very useful as a defensive tool, but also has synergy with Destroyer. I have been toying with dare Devil in the deck as well for a bit of prediction-shenanigans on turn 5. I got DD yesterday, and been having some great games with it. I actually made a homebrew deck that has Wave, DD and destroyer in it. I'm quite proud of it as it's totally homebrew based on all I've learned so far, and it works so well. I have been inspired by your weird and wonderful decks recently, and trying more off meta stuff that I'm making myself.

I'm sitting here with Black Bolt, Ronan the Accuser, Black Widow, Crossbones, and Moon Knight. It's really frustrating going from a game like Runeterra that gives you access to everything you want up front, and lets you pay a reasonable amount of money to skip the grind and get the exact cards you want, to this trashfest of endless grinding with RNG. The game itself is great, but the card acquisition system only makes any kind of sense for people who can spend hours every day playing.
I just want to say Mogwai thank you for this video. I watched it a few days ago but I did not have Destroyer because I had not yet reach Pool 3, but I finally did today and the first card I got was actually Destroyer! It's pretty uncanny. Thanks again.

Great video Mogwai, love the concept of the series because I just hit pool 3 and I'm trying to build decks with whatever I pull. I recently got death and have been having a blast with a destroy deck built around it
It would be really great to see more decks like this, i just unlocked lockjow and have no idea to build around him and im sure many other people unlocked some cool pool 3 cards that are hard to build around and would find great use of videos like this one
I really enjoyed watching the video and think that video series is a great idea as I'm exactly in the spot you described in the beginning of the video. Not too far into Pool 3 and I don't have many cards. Also most of my Pool 3 cards suck. But then I opened Destroyer the day before yesterday and was totally fired up and immediately built this deck (I just have X and Mr. Fantastic instead of Klaw and Sunspot). Sadly I was totally disappointed very quickly and still can't understand why people are hyping up this deck so much. Most of my games look exactly like your game 2 did. I just draw a terrible starting hand because the curve is soooo damn high and then the opponent just ignores the lane I'm stacking up Ongoing effects in and easily overpowers me in the other two because the deck is terrible at contesting more than 2 lanes unless you can somehow lock up 1 lane with X and then play Destroyer in a third lane and it doesn't matter that you are hurting your Warpath that way. Maybe I'm also just playing the deck wrong but that has been my experience. Don't get me wrong I want to like the deck and I would love to play Destroyer but I just couldn't win consistenly, got really frustrated really quickly and then never looked at the deck again. I just thought the curve was incredibly high and the deck is very easy to predict and recognize- I also really feel that I don't have Mojo and have to play stupid Lizard instead because whereas Mojo punishes your opponent for contesting the lane you are stacking up in, Lizard encourages it and often makes you lose in the end because he gets weaker. If you think that's probably just on me and I'm doing it wrong I would really appreciate some advice here maybe it really is just me being stupid but so far I have given up on the deck even though now I will have to stick to Pool 2 decks again as I just can't seem to open any of the Pool 3 staples for the life of me. But hey at least I got all the turds like Crossbones, Drax, Black Cat and Adam Warlock. Maybe I can open a circus with that...
At 20:36, what would heimdall prioritise moving if he played it? is it multiple man and nightcrawler that goes left and 2 raptors go mid? Haven't really paid attention which one moves but that makes sense.

It’ll be awesome if you could build a deck around Typhoid Mary. I haven’t seen any guides or decks around her that often. I pulled Typhoid Mary and omega red. Typhoid Mary with enchantress on the same lane might be good? Please try to make a video on this. Might be very unique and fun
I would say you may want to wait I little on typhoid cause most of the cards she likes are pool 3 as well, with Zero being one of the most important. Zero is a 1 drop who removes the abilities of the next card you play. I would recommend looking up Zero decks instead of typhoid as it brings up more results and she is always with him. Other cards you want to watch out for are Venom, Taskmaster, Dracula, and Red Skull. The first 3 make good use of Typhoid's high power while Skull is another Typhoid, 14 power but ongoing gives +2 to enemies at his location.

I've got to pool 3 about a week ago and so far I've gotten Adam Warlock, Polaris, Black cat, Hell Cow, Ronan, Nick Fury, Aero, doctor Octopus and Jane Foster. I am running Hell Cow in my discard deck but I have absolutely no idea how I can use the rest.
My only request for this series would be that you talk about which other pool 3 cards the pool2+1card decks should be on the look out for. Otherwise great concept!
I let that Luchador Warpath go in my shop the other day. I thought to myself "I'm more of a Namor + Klaw kind of guy" but now I'm actually using Warpath a lot more. It's such a cool Variant as well. I guess I'll get another chance to get it at some point.
I know you recently had a Black Panther deck, but that had a lot of pool 3 cards that I don't have. With the vibranium forge event going on. I was wondering if you could suggest a good black panther deck with mostly pool 1/2 cards. It must also include Okoye, Nakia and Ironheart to score double vibranium. Maybe include some substitutions for people with some pool 3 cards to better optimize. Much appreciated
wow this is great, my first few pulls im pool 3 were weak but the first good one was destroyer! other than jane foster which is a worse abomination rn the other cards that I pulled need more pool 3 cards to work😭
I would like to see a archetype show case for all tiers. Like tier 1 ongoing effect. Play a few games with it. Then add some tier 2 cards and show case it. Then do the same thing for tier 3 cards. Main archetypes I want to see are Self slay, hand destruction/control, and movement.
I pulled Death and would love to see a competitive list. I've been trying some games with Moon Girl to play multiple Deaths on last turn but I'm having trouble getting her down to 0 cost consistently. Also pulled Arnim Zola but he seems less viable when limited to Pool 1 and 2.

I found that to benefit from Cosmo it is important to have initiative so he always surprise flip before the opponent, best played turn 5,6 on a wong setup lane. Ongoing cry retreat the exact moment they see cosmos
I just got Wong and Doctor Doom back to back the other night early in Pool3... so needless to say I'm running them with Odin and White Tiger among other things
I kinda miss having the chat in these videos (since it's live).. No "KEKWs" when open retreats after a brutal play (7:25), no "EZs in the chat!" etc.. Chat adds a lot of fun. :P
I've been playing for 2 - 3 weeks I finally got my 1st pool 3 pull which was taskmaster, I know he can be very strong on certain archetypes but I still need more support

I think Deadpool/Death also work as a "1 Pool 3 card deck", just slap it into Destroy w/ Moon Girl to copy them, EZ (both of them basically do same thing, big cheap finisher that wants things, or itself, to die.)

You can win only with destroyer , whitout it, you cant win
I disagree, Hulk doesn't make much sense in this deck. You are better off running another ongoing card like Punisher, Mr. Fantastic or Professor X.

Mystique is my mvp in my patriot deck, she is so cool to copy ongoing effect. I played her a lot in my devil dino deck too

I just thought the curve was incredibly high and the deck is very easy to predict and recognize- I also really feel that I don't have Mojo and have to play stupid Lizard instead because whereas Mojo punishes your opponent for contesting the lane you are stacking up in, Lizard encourages it and often makes you lose in the end because he gets weaker.
If you think that's probably just on me and I'm doing it wrong I would really appreciate some advice here maybe it really is just me being stupid but so far I have given up on the deck even though now I will have to stick to Pool 2 decks again as I just can't seem to open any of the Pool 3 staples for the life of me. But hey at least I got all the turds like Crossbones, Drax, Black Cat and Adam Warlock. Maybe I can open a circus with that...

At 20:36, what would heimdall prioritise moving if he played it? is it multiple man and nightcrawler that goes left and 2 raptors go mid? Haven't really paid attention which one moves but that makes sense.
The person who pulled destroyer hit the jack pot. One of the easiest decks to assemble cause it’s basically just destroyer with pool 1 and 2 cards

It’ll be awesome if you could build a deck around Typhoid Mary. I haven’t seen any guides or decks around her that often. I pulled Typhoid Mary and omega red. Typhoid Mary with enchantress on the same lane might be good?

I would say you may want to wait I little on typhoid cause most of the cards she likes are pool 3 as well, with Zero being one of the most important. Zero is a 1 drop who removes the abilities of the next card you play. I would recommend looking up Zero decks instead of typhoid as it brings up more results and she is always with him.
Other cards you want to watch out for are Venom, Taskmaster, Dracula, and Red Skull. The first 3 make good use of Typhoid's high power while Skull is another Typhoid, 14 power but ongoing gives +2 to enemies at his location.

I've got to pool 3 about a week ago and so far I've gotten Adam Warlock, Polaris, Black cat, Hell Cow, Ronan, Nick Fury, Aero, doctor Octopus and Jane Foster. I am running Hell Cow in my discard deck but I have absolutely no idea how I can use the rest.

I let that Luchador Warpath go in my shop the other day. I thought to myself "I'm more of a Namor + Klaw kind of guy" but now I'm actually using Warpath a lot more. It's such a cool Variant as well. I guess I'll get another chance to get it at some point.

I know you recently had a Black Panther deck, but that had a lot of pool 3 cards that I don't have. With the vibranium forge event going on. I was wondering if you could suggest a good black panther deck with mostly pool 1/2 cards. It must also include Okoye, Nakia and Ironheart to score double vibranium. Maybe include some substitutions for people with some pool 3 cards to better optimize. Much appreciated

I would like to see a archetype show case for all tiers. Like tier 1 ongoing effect. Play a few games with it. Then add some tier 2 cards and show case it. Then do the same thing for tier 3 cards.
Main archetypes I want to see are Self slay, hand destruction/control, and movement.

I pulled Death and would love to see a competitive list. I've been trying some games with Moon Girl to play multiple Deaths on last turn but I'm having trouble getting her down to 0 cost consistently. Also pulled Arnim Zola but he seems less viable when limited to Pool 1 and 2.

I found that to benefit from Cosmo it is important to have initiative so he always surprise flip before the opponent, best played turn 5,6 on a wong setup lane. Ongoing cry retreat the exact moment they see cosmos

First pool 3 card for me was Arnim Zola. Basically forced my hand to buy the season pass for the black panther combo
Finally pulled Zola after making it, though, a bit over 40% of p3. Now, to just pull Wong.

I think Deadpool/Death also work as a "1 Pool 3 card deck", just slap it into Destroy w/ Moon Girl to copy them, EZ (both of them basically do same thing, big cheap finisher that wants things, or itself, to die.)
