You guys have a great discussion of FCB here!!!! Not many English pundits are able to speak about Bayern with this level of sophistication and knowledge. Strong work boys.
It was completely Upa and Kim's fault for Wolfsburg comeback. I am so done with Upa 🫣 This is his 4th season and he is still not "Settled In" . The Defence absolutely worries me because Attack and Midfield under Kompany have looked good with some great plays and pressing but Defence is still shit mostly CBs
Much more clear identity in the team and the way they play compared to last season… i’m excited to see what levels Kompany can get them to play at as time goes on
After euro, they had only a few weeks to train basic stuff. They played well for day one. And then individual mistakes happened in the second half. Had nothing to do with the coach. If bayern players play aggressive you have already won. We are a bunchof divas in some seasons. This season it looks like we run and fight again. If players this quality run and fight, we will come far in the chl (if our defenders get their shit together till march-may).
Matthijs de Ligt and Eric Dier were by far the best piaring last year. They aren`t the most progressive offense players (thats why Tuchel struggled playing them, since he has another idea to play), but they were pretty much rock solid in the back. They sold Matthijs de Ligt for money reasons, Dier is again not playing. Does any Bayern supporter understand that? No. Does any supporter understand, why Upa and Kim, who both cleary are not up for the job and making constantly horroble mistakes, are still there and playing? No. I am very confident, that a Goretzka/ Dier pairing would be a very solid solution. Two very smart players, barley making any mistakes. It isn`t Leon`s postition at all. But since he still there and has proven to can performe as a defender, Kompany should consider playing them to as soon as possible..
if he sees out or lasts a season it will be a personal VK triumph. To me he is 3 or 4 years (if showed strong promise ) away from having a appointment @ a top european club . Finished his only prem season with just 24 pts. A home loss v forest and then 10 days later @ Bayern . LOL

@@DiogoSlotta People act like UCL is the greatest test of consistency or capability -- it's not. Consistently winning in a competitive league is the best measure we have of a team's capability from season-to-season. UCL is a smaller number of games in a tournament format. Teams that win it are not typically deep in a title race within their own domestic league throughout the season. A poor refereeing decision or minuscule error can be the difference between winning or losing the entire competition. Shoot, penalties are in play. Teams do not all play the same teams on the road to the final, whereas in domestic leagues you play every other team twice. Is Dortmund a better side than City because they made it to the final last season? Is Inter better than Madrid because they made it further in the tournament the year prior? I think we know the answer to both of those questions is a resounding no. But we love tournament football, and it's undeniable that winning UCL is an incredible achievement. It's harder for some teams than others, and there's many factors that contribute to that, but acting like it's the end-all-be-all to determine a team's quality is totally a fallacy.
These were exactly the kind of games we would have lost last, year under Iuchel and would have lost 3-1 instead of making the 3-2 comeback, and the reason why we were poor defensively is more of a lack of quality in the defense rather than the coach's tactics

agreed, every mainstream english pundit has essentially 0 credibility when it comes to the bundesliga😭😭

You can feel the presence of these players on the field at Bayern compared to last season. This Bayern team is lethal

I think Kompany will transform Bayern and put them back were they belong..
Bundesliga 2?

Just noticed bayern are barely keep goals out.. The burnley problem persists
Their defense wasn't good last season and then they gave away their best CB (De Ligt) and Mazraoui on top of that. Got nothing to do with Burnley.

Funny guys. Another half time like the second last weekend and Bayern is looking for a new coach.
Nah, if that happens, they're more likely to completely change our defense, rather than firing Kompany
Why does Tuchel make attacking football look hard?

Both Kompany and Alonso are top tacticians. They both learned Pep’s tactics, which is the greatest tactics in football history.
