😂😂😂 i think it’s all combined but i’m sure the bus baby girls health scare also played a part, its hard to justify leaving your family behind to go on tour when you’re performing infront of a crowd of 10 people and losing money going there, it just doesn’t sit right with him anymore which is a good thing

That comment about bapa changing since Rogan left is a smart catch my dude. He’s not around that world 24/7 anymore, it’s probably not even fun for him since he’s not in the “in crowd” anymore. And he can’t seem to reproduce that forward momentum towards stand up cause he never really loved stand up, he loved doing something fun with people he liked.
You can tell he doesn’t love it cause he doesn’t look like he’s having much fun doing it when he’s alone. He needs clout to do it
@ Agostinho Zinga Sidenote on comedians quitting: There's definitely a stigma among comedians ( Especially well known/ very ambitious comics ) quitting standup comedy: Look how people like Tony Henchcliff talk about quit comedy; he speaks as if they got a dishonorable discharge in the the military!!! Lol Even Jeselnik talked about the fear of being "the guy who used to be a comedian ".
And even Mark Maron took shots at a recent guess ( and ended up in a heated argument) who quit comedy and went on the other success: Sometimes these dudes take their positions a little too serious. 😂😂😂

I do feel like bapa is tired and defeated, but not from his world wide tour or comedy. I think the combo of very low ticket sales, having to lie or defend constantly being accused of or caught with Addie’s and baddies has finally worn him down! Brendan can’t outright quit standup and move on to something else cause he painted it as his childhood dream and destiny to be a standup. That’s who he looked up to when he was a kid, quoting Jim Carrey and what not.
If he had just said, “my podcast career is kind of pointing me towards standup, and it’s something I enjoy and want to try “ he could now say, ok it didn’t work.
But he had to paint it as his life’s work cause he needs to be looked like the winner, like he took his lumps but he came out doing what he was meant to do. And now that what he was meant to do isn’t working, it means his whole life’s dream didn’t work out.
I blame Joe Rogan for all of this. He must get so much shit behind the scenes.
joe booked him for shows at the comedy store on the regular when he first started and likely brendan was the same level of unfunny back but then when joe moves to austin and opens his own club suddenly he has standards and doesn’t even give bapa a charity booking 😢 that’s so unfair 😂
