Amazing that you posted this video just before we all found out what happened to the Titan submersible. So presumably those people’s consciousnesses just blinked out like Tony Soprano. Don’t like to imagine otherwise. 😢
Listening to this podcast in your explanation of post predictions vs predictions, the feeling I came with is our brain forms a puzzle picture where the bodies senses fill in the gaps. 😊
Would be our sense of reality so delayed if we were 100 meters or we would have very reduced capacity to detect something happening around us if we were a giant?
Sir Thanks for Great Podcast. I have a question you tell that when we touch nose and toe same time we feel at same time because brain synchronize the signals. So I have a question that what mechanism is present in body which tells brain to wait for that signal because different signal reach to the Brain at different time. Or 2nd Thought is brain takes time to make conscious experience to the signals from our senses?
haha nice ending to another great episode! this makes me wonder about athletic reactions (mental prediction acuity) and more specifically the variance and ability to train it. and why the difference seems so great between athlete and non-athlete (applies to any human action?). how much can one improve these pathways and the "center of recognition" (no idea what that would be called… haha) or is it that your predictions of events become faster?/more accurate? some mix of all, and more? (no to mention "superhuman" reactions)
Brilliant. Just brill
