We certainly did! We really appreciate CO's who build caches like these. The CO in question is very well known over here. Everybody knows him and if he publishes a new cache everybody is enthusiastic.

I wish I had seen this video first so I wouldn't have had to bother the cache owner calling and asking how to do the cache. There were four disappointed kids blowing their balloons all over the place, so we needed the find! :-) Your creativity is astounding! After we got the house open, we had to do it again so the balloon blower could watch as well.
How could anyone be bored with your videos? :-) I just completed my "copycat" build today. Took about 16 hours. I was able to figure out everything by your rough description of how the mechanics worked. Everything is well balanced. Thanks for the great video, sir.

Thanks Chew Backa, sometimes one idea leads to another or a modification of and idea that makes for a great cache. The latest cache I built is nothing like a cache I found, but that cache inspired the idea. I would have never thought it if I hadn't found that other cache.

I like to make interesting caches myself and am not ashamed to borrow, or use entirely, cache designs I see on youtube. Currently those other tubes on the cache don't honk. Those were party noise makers when it was first created. Cachers would go from one honk to another. It was really cute, but over time cachers have broken them, so now they just cause mild frustration. : ) Glad you had a good time here. IT's a neat cache.

Good job explaining things. Time spent on your philosophy, what geocachers try, the logic and the workings all well timed. It would have been nice to see the mechanism work though.
I'm assuming that latch is upside down compared to how it is usually used ? I can see the balloon, the see-saw mechanism, and the fact when the balloon inflates it pushes the seesaw up, therefore pulling the other side (and fishing line down), but the part i don't understand is how the catch doesn't stay open in the upside down state. Cool cache I'm going to build one of these, so cool !
It is difficult to understand the inner workings on this one. It may be easier to understand if you showed a video of it working on the inside rather than a still image. That might require taking of the side that holds the balloon drawer, so that we see things work from a side view. You are a real creative hider. I love to build things, too. Thanks for sharing all your great ideas, sir. I love the videos!
This one is also near my hometown in the Netherlands! I suspect someone is making your caches over here because the "complete the circuit cache" is his latest creation. It took me no trouble at all to figure the balloon cache out. We had the log in about 3 minutes! I love caches like yours. :-)

Yes, you are correct and that is a good idea. My intent is to stimulate interest in building a challenging and "technical" cache, but NOT bore cachers to death with my video's. What normally happens, when someone has enough interest to try to build, as they start the process of building, I get additional emails and questions. I'm happy to help anyone out who is giving it a try. What I'm trying to do going forward, is to film while the cache is still in my shop, before published.

Barney, caches that are hard to find are fun, I enjoy those. But, my love are caches that are easy to find, but you are really challenged on figuring out how to open them. You know the answer is right there, and after you figure it out you just want to kick yourself for not thinking of it sooner. Many of my gadget caches are like that.
I'm proud to say ive built 2 caches based on this awsome cooncept!:) not the exact same shape as this birdhouse but I used the concept... however one of my caches requires one balloon while the other requires 2... so hopefully teamwotk will be used to get in it... oh also I have cachers bring the needed tools :)
Those are kind comments. I really can't figure it out the WHY! It's a game, why destroy other peoples work. I have started the rebuilding process on many of my stolen caches. This one was recovered, its still in the evidence room. Hopefully I'll get access to it soon and see how bad it was damaged. Randolph Bates from SC, was caught with the cache.
I am building a gadget cache that has a twist to it. It has many different components that are mostly all reds. I have it all planed out but am unsure how to figure how big the box will need to be. I really wish I was and engineer and I could share drawings and the such.
