My Mumbai Style Sandwich Recipe is out now on Facebook & UA-cam! Really excited about this one because this is one of my favorite recipes. As a kid I have grown up in Mumbai and there would not be a single week were I haven’t had a sada sandwich or a toast sandwich. Followed by a bread butter chutney and that extra piece of boiled potato with some sandwich masala😜. I remember so many conversations which have happened over these sandwiches 🙈 so many memories and as a kid I used to try and replicate the recipe at home. I still remember telling mom to buy me the street style toaster and I used to try and make this recipe at home just like how the really talented sandwich chefs did it on the streets. This recipe is a result of so many trials and it took me quite a while to crack the sandwich masala and the perfect chutney recipe! So enjoy this one and I am sure you all will love it!!!!! The famous “Bombay Masala Toast Sandwich” will also be our soon! So stay tuned for it! P.S: this recipe is really close to my heart just like the pav bhaji recipe, lots of nostalgia! I have spent my entire childhood in Bombay. I no longer live there. These sandwiches have been a huge part of my childhood. One of the most affordable street foods that can be found at almost every nook and corner of Bombay. No matter how much I tried, I could not recreate these sandwiches at home here in Aligarh. Now I know why, the special masala and the amazing chutney and of course, the legendary Wibs bread were missing. Thank you chef for solving this mystery!
Love how you've made the authentic sandwich and most importantly added beetroot in it. Also amazing how you've not tried to add cheese and make a fusion dish or anything. I don't know why but watching this video made me emotional and nostalgic. I remember the days when we used to have street food with no worries. I guess the background song created that effect.
