It will all come down to longevity, how long can the twin turbo V6 hybrid last? Hard to imagine they will age as well as Gen 1 and Gen 2. 10 years from now the “Toyota Tax” may be a thing of the past. Batteries and turbos, no thanks.
You mentioned rear room. The 2nd gen already lost a lot of space with the fold flat rear seats. I preferred the removable seats of the first gen. They were a pain, but they never jammed, and the space was cavernous when they were removed.
