    Thanks for this. Just picked my first cucumbers today. I used my grandmas refrigerator pickle recipe. Listening to your video, realized I did put the ends in my jar. oops. Now I know for future batches!

    Had heard bay leaves may help keep crisp. So the natural bacteria are already on the cukes and dont add any like with yogurt or cheese?

      That is correct! Not sure about bay leaves but I wouldn't be surprised if they work too.

    you dont have to waterbath pickles.just bring you liquid to a boil then put directly in jar with the cucumbers and seal!
