The blue parking has been there allways, but only in the summer you have to pay
It's the sea re- claiming the land , poor people that owned the properties, they must have been lovely in their day .
Can't believe the damage, used to be lovely down there,free parking could spend the Day on the beach
Im in guardamar at the moment
Love it, no problem paying for parking. Driving is a privilege. I hate looking for parking spots and the area is really bad in summer.
We want to live there
We have been goi g there for over 7 years and the meters are always there in the summer!

A sea view not from the bedroom its in the bedroom its a shame for anyone who may own one though doesn’t look like they will be there for long😱
Do you live in Guardamar ? Please note that the parking meters are only in place in the high season in Guardamar which is June to September and it is very cheap. The area where the parking meters are near the on the beach houses is rammed in high season as the night market runs again from June to September. Most of the beach houses are owned by Spanish people who holiday in Guardamar during August so it’s clearly their choice to stay there. Like any holiday resort the council charge for parking to raise funds and control parking in the area. If you are a Spanish resident you are not doing anything to promote tourism??
Thank you for your comments and for clarifying those points for anyone who might be reading this and isn’t aware about the “summer” parking fees etc. We have done lots videos in Guardamar over the years, all we hope, very positive and promoting tourism and life in the area.
Does anyone know the “App” I need to put in my phone to pay that way for parking?
Interestingly there is some video of one of the storms in Guardamar showing the sea coming through those houses and on the road behind, where those parking bays are
they have those parking meters in Calpe on roads running by the beach.but they are in Spanish so i couldt use them
Have you got an iPhone? If you do, take a picture and iPhones translate text in photos into English. Very useful.
