Itai Weissman - Mood for Keijser

As Amsterdam is celebrating its 750 years birthday, I was invited by the KOG (Koninklijk Oudheidkundig Genootschap) to sample, compose and perform a piece for the opening night to Heinz Keijser's Rattles Collection at the Rijksmuseum. As the story tells Heinz, a dutch jewish survivor from Second World War bought his first rattle as a gift to his wife when she was pregnant with their first child. Unfortunately the child was never born. Heinz continued with collecting rattles from different eras and places in the world assembling one of the biggest known rattle collection known today.
