Bro. Watching someone stomp this game's ass is perhaps the sweetest revenge for all those quarters I put into it. (Yes. Back in the day we used quarters instead of tokens.) I wish I could give it two thumb's up.
Every time hear Buzz kickin, he sounds like " Hoo Hoo Hooo Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoo." When flexing his arms after the done a special move, body toss and wins , he does say " Humphey."
I remember when I first saw this game. Early 1990s, in a lousy arcade club in Athens, Greece. "No kids allowed" sign but back then who gave a damn about age restrictions and rules. The guy who made me coins was dressed like Gun's and Roses and he smoke like a chimney in front of his customers... I thought "wow, they placed real actors in this one, how they did that! Graphics will never get better than this!" I was running back to my father's store to get more coins, it was game over in 20 seconds... My God, if we only knew how video games will progress...and that we will have all those games in emulator in our rooms and yet don't even bother to play them...
I had the exactly same experience. I was "Man ! This is a playable kickboxing movie ! Never a game can be better than this !" More than 30 years after that i admit that PF aged bad but i like it anyway.
Way back in 1990 or 1991 I owned this game on the Commodore Amiga 500 personal computer and it was actually a fairly decent port for the time. I certainly enjoyed the hell out of it.
someone put that car in there and said, yes, that blends in well with the digitized graphics, I'm assuming they thought no one would be able to get that far in the game to see it anyways.
For being one of the earliest fighting games, I personally don't believe that Pit-Fighter will be that bad at all, just very difficult. 3 playable characters is a nice amount for the time too, I think. I'm looking forward to playing it along with other classics in Midway Arcade Treasures 2 after it's added to my Gamecube Collection soon. Why is it made fun of so much?
Answering your question, that is regarded to some bad console and computer ports. The only decent port is the grnesis one, all the rest is pure crap!! This pissed off people back jn the day. That's why it has a bad reputation
@@elmachipsfoose That makes sense. Thanks for explaining. It sounds like all that’s different for the version I’ll play is increased speed and probably slightly lower frame rate but I don’t see that as a problem. That’s unfortunate though that early console ports and computer ports weren’t very well done.
In fact it was inspired by Bloodsport. Lionheart came out in 1990, the same year of the release of Pit-Fighter. But I agree that it looks more like Lionheart. Both movies are similar in many ways.
I strongly disagree. There are far worse fighting games out there. Maybe you had experienced the console or computer ports, which are really bad indeed. But the arcade is great, you should give it a try.
Lol, you must be kidding. With TAS, I wouldn't have received a single hit during the entire game. Try it for real and you may succeed as I did. Good luck
5:10 Little did Heavy Metal know, Buzz had a different definition of "head-banging".

this is the highest score I've seen. most people seem to prefer Ty for his hurricane kick in getting 1cc, but this was incredible.
When you missed and the enemy got the P pill... ooooh the frustration....!
Enemies getting teabagged at the end of the match😁🤣🤣🤣
I like how after the grudge matches you move Buzz so that he's walking out of the arena.
The real Buzz (who posed for this game) is bummed that he isn't getting a royalty check for this video.
So sad. I hope we can all sleep tonight.
Heavy Metal just wants that damn barrel!
You plays very well
incredible, excelent play
Some of the characters are walking like they're trying not to step in dog poop
Yeah I agree haha, reminds me of the game Driv3r, where the protagonist has spastic movements! It's so bad it's actually hilarious.
It's Time to Flex 💪🏼
What? He can roll around in the floor?
Yo, that's what I said! lol

Everyone talked about the crime problem in the 90s, but apparently all you had to do was take advantage of its shitty A.I.
Buzz, a secret member from Fantastic Four... 🤣🤣🤣

Buzz fighting stance looks so constipated
One of my favortive arcades I enjoyed playing back in the day. Too bad the SNES Port had to suck.

These runs are always sick. Fantastic job schooling the bullshit AI. XD
2. enemy fighter black man from lionheart movie its true
Que apelação 😂
This is creepy I used to spend tons of money on this game in my local arcade in NJ back in 1990
Mechanics wise this is a terrible game.
But no way you're not smiling when you watch this game. It's just great silly fun.
3:11 yeah why not?!
Or 3:08 (tommyinnit: Just killed a woman felling good)
Totally studley!!

Is this a game console?
@@eijiroinouye4115 No. This is an arcade game. It has its own dedicated pcb.
Way before people knew how to program a proper fighting game🤣
I never paid a single quarter to play this
Bad for you then cause, this game wasn't,t actually bad. The Arcade is way superior than the trully bad SNES version.
they had to badly draw in the cars? why not digitize just some random ass car?
I have to agree here, they were poorly drawn. Digitized cara would be much better. Hardware limitações msybe?
@@elmachipsfoose they look like they were made in ms paint by a toddler
Southside Jim was a favorite even if he totally kicked my ass

You think this is bad? Play garudaisn of the hood. It's up there next to E.T LMAO
Just try to play "Human Killing Machine" and you'll see that PF it's pure gold.
NO FEAR🦾🦾🦾🦾
This game sucked balls and still does.
Sorry, I respect your opinion but I do not agree with you.
the hit point on this game is shiiit😂
All this for women and money
There's no better ending for a game than this!
You say that like it's a bad thing😁
🤔...

@@elmachipsfoose Yeah seriously. There's a TAS of this on YT and the guy just murders everyone punching 60 times per second.
