    G’day all. A little spur behind the girth… Hmmm..🤔 don’t you mean a little leg behind the girth? I’ve been a Equestrian for 40+ years. I have done showjumping, 1-3 day Eventing now, after having a double stroke i’m learning dressage. I’ll never used spurs in all my Riding years. Still don’t. Me, my horses Relationship bond is based on trust love and loyalty and damn good training using my legs Applications & aids. Just saying… 😉 Beautiful horse by the way.. 😊 Cheers from my Great Southern Land Stralya 🇦🇺😉🤔 Peace ✌🏽 Anita.S ❤️🥃👍🏽❤️🍺🇦🇺🐴🙏🏼😉😎.

    Walking gait is very odd. Not sure what the problem is. Made me uncomfortable.

    Checked the comments to see if maybe my eyes were deceiving me, but no, you all thought the same thing! That horses walk is very weird!

    The poor black horse is so dangly and walks completely crooked. i am surprised this guy is showing this horse. Is this horse lame? mayube some type of hip dysplesia?

    • @IvyPearsonUnderwater

      Right, the hind leg motion is so weird, I'm confused. Is this normal?

    • @zendweller1
      @zendweller1 5 місяців тому +1

      I'm no expert, but to me it seems like a crooked gait, too. Almost bow-legged. I would assume they'd checked her for early onset Wobblers syndrome, or other conditions. But could it just be her breed/crossbreed? I don't know...she's an absolutely beautiful mare, either way!

    What is the matter with the hindlegs of the first horse the black one when it was walking? Trott looked ok.
    I am not sure but I would like to hear if someone who knows can see what I mean please.

      The horse appeared to lack collection at the walk, but she did much better at the trot. She has a different way of moving on the backend, but she looks sound. 🤔

    • @KN-zr4me
      @KN-zr4me 5 місяців тому

      To me it looks like a young(ish) horse with a long active stride and, for once, actually relaxed walk. Even her back is swaying with the movement. She does seem a bit narrow on the fetlock tough and has a little twist in her movement. Is that what you meant?

    • @cattymajiv
      @cattymajiv 5 місяців тому +1

      @@annjohnson8437 I agree that she seems sound and is better at the trot, but the walk does look a bit weird. Thanks for replying to the OP!

      @@KN-zr4me I'm not the person who asked, but I do thank you for the very interesting reply! It is just a bit over my head though, and probably over the OP's as well. Can you simplify or elaborate on it?
      The horse's hind legs look a bit weird to me too. To me they look sort of stiff at the walk, more so than average, although maybe less so after she's warmed up. I see the sway and the twist you mentioned, but I don't know what it means to be narrow on the fetlock, so if you could very briefly explain that, I would be grateful.
      I'm not a total novice rider, but I've never had people to learn from regarding this kind of thing, and books on it are not easy to find. So if you're able to give me a very short answer to that point about the fetlock and anything else you might care to add, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks so much! ❤

      Yeah, I noticed it as soon as I saw her too her hind doesn't look right, I looked at the comments to see if I was the only one who was seeing it.

    Mr Irish, from Granny Irish. Love your respectful attitude towards the beautiful girl, he's working with. She likes him very much and loves to work for him. She is a very serious horse and hates making mistakes. She loves to learn and enjoys the exercises. I know nothing about riding but I know her heart. She's telling me what she feels. She loves his heart and she will do anything he asks of her.... Blessings darlings from Granny Linda in OZ......

    The mare's hocks both look almost capped, her back is long, and her croup is very flat.
    Just elementary curious observations regarding her path toward show jumping competitions.
    So great this video. Thank you so very much.

    Someone very clever has breed some gaited horse into her line
    ...maybe even American Standardbred(tho i guess the Europeans have their own harness racing stock!)...smart, obedient, strong, fast and indestructable!
    Even though I'm not a fan, I'd take her towards eventing. Those first few steps of open canter......

    • @vickypedia1353
      @vickypedia1353 5 місяців тому +1

      She does have a significant overtrack in the walk. Do you reckon this could be due to gaited influence? Should be possible to look up her pedigree.

    • @AnniePaige-iq5qp
      @AnniePaige-iq5qp 21 день тому

      @@vickypedia1353No chance there’s any gaited horse influence. I don’t think that’d even be possible. Regardless, I looked her up! I know your comment is four months old, but maybe you’re still interested in her breeding…
      (I would have just posted a link to her pedigree, but UA-cam doesn’t allow it :/ I hope the way I typed this out is easy to follow!)
