This is the hong kong i knew I am married to a wonderful Chinese husband and went to live i remember first time I stepped off the plane it was so hot then it was Kai tak airport I loved everything about hong kong the wonderful people who were friendly my beautiful mother inlaw who sadly passed away this November she would take me and my little daughter out shopping i am now in my late 60 s but I still have some wonderful memories of hong kong and I do miss it
1982 is the year when the British started to officially begin the talk on the transfer of sovereignty of Hong Kong to China.I remember China was really pissed at that time of what they get from the British ! The good old days when I was still a young person.
Video camera &recorder in those days were very poor quality in early 1980s. Nowhere to compare with today's everyone can take high quality video with their own cellular phone.
This is great quality is those days on super 8 film. HD didn't arrive till more than 25 years later. Also not everybody can afford movie cameras in those days though colour film start to become more popular over black and white. Not not to mention I phone and internet which nobody can ever dream of in those days.Just a bit of history from a 62 year old !
If you use the same super 8 film projector to show this film , the quality may be a little better. If you attempt to show this on youtube which is equipped with much higher resolution pictures , the quality will appear to be very poor and blur.

I miss HK in the 70s. It was magic.
It was some good old days and I miss them.
i had a little moment when i saw the tower apartment building i first lived in when i arrived in Hong Kong being built in 1982. wow.
Those were the days!
I sat for my matriculation exams that year. It seems that 40 year's of time was just a glimpse.
Most people realise how fast time slips away only when they are old.
@@MrMilanoLau yes, I'm already an old man👴
