I used to skip this song completely before working on this track, but I found out it was only due to the stage 4 gameplay itself. I attempted to recreate the dense, smooth lead from this song, and believed this is the closest to 95% accurate per Touhou PC-98 standards.

Here is the entire Touhou 7: Perfect Cherry Blossom soundtrack remade for the OPNA/YM2608 chip in full tribute to the existing Touhou PC-98 soundtracks. These are recorded from FMPMD2000 and slightly mixed, and will continue to be so until someone is able to provide hardware recording.

Hearing a PC-98 rendition of this song kinda makes it sound like it belongs more in Story of Eastern Wonderland than Perfect Cherry Blossom.

Fantastic representation. (Oddly, the stage 4 gameplay is probably my favorite part of PCB.)
Question: Is the missing 5% the very faint "Da da daaa, da da daaa..." that should start around 3:03? It's so faint in the original track that you can barely hear even if you're listening for it.
It's the fave of many because it isn't a stage: it's a dance. Everything that happens on that flight over the clouds follows the beat of the song...
@nyanpasu64 It's audible in the MP3, but you have to be listening for it. It's so faint and high pitch that it almost feels like an easter egg when you can hear it!

@@SeppelSquirrel What i meant was that in fact, stage syncs: did you never notice that the song ends exactly when reach the door? Shoot down Lily too soon and some "bonus enemies" will appear; let her time out and there's no change. The beat rules it all :3
