Thank you for making the back of the firebox flat and not "angled in." For some reason, every builder in the United States angles the back wall in toward the house. They believe they need to make a large smoke shelf for down draft and wind, and that wouldn't be necessary if the chimney was not too large and wide going up through the roof of the house. Think how absurd that is... pushing the smoke back toward the living room?
