    I am so glad I stumbled upon this. It's crazy how many forgotten VHS videos that weren't big motion pictures but incredibly amazing films have been made and a part of so many people's life's.

    Good job. Thanks Nate for doing this. I've been looking for Never Rest for about 7 years, checking every now and again. I even did a Worldcat search and found I could only get it from a public library in Australia (lol); I even tried to do an inter(national)library loan but the cost was prohibitive. It shows what an impact Never Rest made that so many of us have tried to track it down. I remember having to do drawings of it for a day or two after seeing it in primary school to try to get over it! Even our teacher looked shocked and numerous pupils in the class were in tears. I thought it would still pack a punch and, while not traumatic for someone who is in their 30s, it still has its shocking moments; it plays-out more like a 'slasher' horror film than an educational video.

    When they were all alive and thanking Joshua for trying to warn them, he was a peace because he managed to prevent their death but at the end when the ginger girl is hit by the tractor, she dies, so he is back to not being in peace which is why all the stuff blew off his grave. This is actually really sad, poor Joshua. Yes he made some mistake but he wasnt exclusively to blame.

      Also, if you take Apaches into account, what if he never rests in peace? Who’s to say he doesn’t get broken into a malicious ghost by this?

    • @SuperTed19021
      @SuperTed19021 9 місяців тому +2

      *Poor Josh!* 😥 PS: *Does* sounds cruel but the ginger girl, who *obviously* came from a family with a *complete* urban background, was going to get it. There must *surely* be that if you do move to farm life, you *must* have some time to gain knowledge and wisdom about the risk that comes to it if you don't have the experience before taking it on. Her father/mother needed to attend an agricultural college course for a year or two before making their dream move.

    That bloody repeated Joshua Walker cut gets me.

  • @paulmacartney8266
    @paulmacartney8266 Рік тому +6

    Joshua Walker was a farmer who took four young children harmhands under his wing. All four were killed by accident. Joshua walker got the blame. Either the children should've been more careful on the farm or Joshua walker should've kept a better eye on them. Its possible that all four children were killed as a result of walker's negligence. And when he died, he was buried ⚰ in an unmarked grave with the word "Never" written on his headstone.

    • @philswales3814

    16:20 *Treat death/life-changing injuries as a game and you and others pay the price!* PS: Poor old Joshua Walker. 😢 Not to mention that the deaths that occurred under his life were *actually* accidents instead of just idiotic risk-taking. Maybe proves how different children in the Victorian age actually were compared to their ilk 100 years later. Also, the moving-in family clearly *did not* have enough knowledge or aware beforehand into how to manage farm life for them or their two young children safely, *especially* with more advanced and *much more* damaging farming technology.

    Holy shit I remember they made us watch this in primary school! A girl was hyperventilating and in tears by the end of it and had to be taken out the classroom and see the councillor. 2:35 Wait.... the kid died when the wagon wheel fell on him? I know those things are heavy and kids have squishy bodies but it'd seem to me that the kid would be unlikely to die from the wheel falling over onto him from its own height. Injure hum? Sure. Broken ribs . knock him out, maybe crack his sternum, but outside of a very remote chance he'd survive.

      Try this: Go find a vending machine and slowly lower it onto your chest. Now try to breathe.
      That would be about approximate in ratio to a large steel carriage wheel falling on a child. It's not the impact, mostly, it's the fact that your lungs aren't going to be able to breathe while it's on top of you and you don't have the strength to move it off.

Especially now with advanced and more harmful/deadly farm technology.

      Saying that, *did* the kids in "Apaches" really die apart from the main character? I've watch that on UA-cam also, and apart from maybe the boy falling in the mud pool, the other incidents, (including the rat poison), could have *still* in the late 70s been avoid of death if their adults/others reacted quickly enough. *Life changing/ruining* non the least.
