ZDF reportage at the beginning of the 1990s on the development of the most interesting car in the world. This report consists of a total of 5 parts and come from a recently rediscovered VHS cassette. This is also the reason for the low quality.
I'm assuming that yer a youngin and your taste in cars just hasn't been refined yet, but there is hope for you if you're interested in the 8-series. It is true that owning and driving an 8-series in proper order is quite expensive. I own a 1996 850ci (5-speed Steptronic not the 4-speed autobox) and a 2011 Z4 35i Roadster (6-cylinder twin-turbo). Of the cars you mentioned, the 928 GTS is the only real driver's car and a fine one at that.
Gee thanks for the put down, since it would have cost me the same amount of money to buy an 850i 6spd I found but lack of service history men't I had' have to spend another 5-8 grand...as for the SRT I sold it to help out my mother.. now.. here is the question. what you do drive that is so great that you need to insult me. and have you driven a SRT challenger? or a 2012 mustang GT? or a 850 i 6spd? or a 928 GTS?
Don't Knock the challenger before you try it. Grand Touring for much less, and a future classic as well. yes it's an old E-class Chassis, but they have done a wonderful job with it. I mean 470 horse power on tap and let 25 MPG ( at least what I'm getting atm) suits me just fine Insurance rate is excellent for me at my age, ( 24) and the cops leave me alone because I don't have any race stripes, or "street racer" looks, it even seems like a V6... BUT IT SOOO ISN'T :D
thank you very much...I'm only trying to support the american automakers, I mean I work for them. besides. at the time I couldn't find a decent 850i with a 6spd, or a Porsche 928 5spd with the features I wanted, and for a reasonable price. I mean spending close to 30 Grand for a car thats as old I am, and if something were to go wrong it would cost an arm and a leg, I didn't go with Mustang because the new transmissions are made in china, and camaro is like driving a post office box.
Well at least you know what you're talking about. I lot of fools will buy an 8-series because they can afford the sale price, but they soon realize they can't afford to own/drive it.

Claus Luthe arrives like a boss in a Mercedes-Benz to meet the rest of the BMW team. xD I love the 8 Series, it is so beautyful!!
It was not Luthe driving the MB, it was Weissbarth 😉
