Seljalandsfoss was the moment I fell in love with Iceland. I was underwhelmed by Reykjavik (it's not a bad city, scooting around is fun, it's just too touristy) and nothing I saw on the Golden Circle really blew me away, but when I saw that massive waterfall, alongside the one right next to it, I understood what all the hype was about. To everyone out there considering visiting Iceland you should absolutely do it but just know the further away from Reykjavik you go the better it gets. Can't wait to go back

That "morbid thing" you saw, it tells you how many people have died in car accidents so far each year in Iceland. Why most people go to "the other side" of the black sand beach....called Reynisfjara actually hehe It has the basalt columns to admire, a sort of a cave also. And the architectural idea behind the most well known church in Iceland, Hallgrímskirkja which is in Reykjavík, is inspired by those columns at Reynisfjara. When you walk down to the beach there, then you will see the church like shape in the rocks :)
Runa : I criticism is the sound quality on this video was not up to your usual par excellence, as we heard the music and the road noise and hardly heard your dulcet vocal tones. Apart from that as usual excellent video coverage and thanks for indulging us on this part of the trip. See you next time.
i agree, Atholl, the audio of this video was very poor! It was frustrating editing. I couldn't raise the volume of y voice without also raising the volume of all the background noise. I've already upgraded my equipment for this season so hopefully will be better 😄
As usual very beautiful surrounding,I have noticed bikers dont like crowded places and if you find yourself on the other side from where you find tourist and get used to a tent then a nightclub bass will be disturbing
Yes, those waves are very tricky and dangerous. They come in triplets and go much further into the beach then you may anticipate. The first, throws you off your feet, second grabs you and begins pulling you into the sea, the third finishes the job :) Our guide told us this story and when I was there, one woman did not pay attention and went too far and almost drowned. Some brave people around jump forward to pull her out. It was in February, a bit cold, pretty windy and foggy, with limited visibility. At least in your video I can see what I missed :)

I was at Black Sand Beach in February 23, it was stunning as it was covered in snow, the contrast of the black and white was breathtaking.
Never seen a black beach , this is different than anything I’ve seen, cool video , happy trails.
