If i have understood correctly the other disc has Wu and other story modes and the other one Shu and Wei story modes. To play free mode with any charter it doesnt matter wich disc you have.

@7039TS XP Sorry but REALLY! Ahahahahahaha!! Sorry for spoiling your dreams along the way XDDDDD I liked the previous Zhuge Liangs. He looks more...gentle and handsome and such. If you notice his new face now, I bet KOEI is trying to make Zhuge Liang look like a dragon, with that giant (not really, just wanna say it. Lolz) nose and everything. (Zhuge Liang was called as a sleeping dragon in history) CONSTIPATED!!! Doesn't look like smiling when he is, looks like defecating when he's worried!
LOL is it me or Zhuge Liang's voice sounded EVEN more feminine when he spoke to Yue Ying? XD And man, that guy...I always felt disappointed beause KOEI revamped his face into somewhat like a constipated cow...and he smiles mostly when Yue Ying is involved. It's all love story musou mode again...*yawn* Btw I thought someone said that in DW6/SM5 all the characters are not officially married, well except for Zhou Yu & Sun Ce I can accept that. But it appears that Yue Ying is married too, 妻=wife.
