Just in time! Been looking to rewire and replace the pusher rod as the weak stock wiring doesn't deliver the current to spin it~
Thanks for the post Chris! It appears you wire Rapidstrikes as I have many times in a live center configuration. My question is you didn’t show where you insert the diodes for runaway pusher issues. I’ve never used them and was curious where in your circuit they would be?
Sorry about that, I accidentally cut that part from the video. The Diodes go on the lead running from the rev switch to the trigger switch. In the Blaster tech wiring diagram the wire is blue, I used white here.

Hi! I found a kit for rapidstrike 3s LiPo and in the package there are 15A V-156-1C25 switches. And do you know if I can put omron 21A V-212-1C6 instead?
Should sub out just fine.
Do you have to use the super long switch for the rev trigger or could you use a small one like the trigger?
Either way will work
Thank you very much for your exceptional effort, to make things so much clear. I have one noob question. What is that soldering station you're using there. Can you recommend a piece of equipment which is sufficient enough, to make all that mod/rewire stuff? Great job, keep going ;)
Just about any will do, Weller makes some super nice ones, they also have more budget friendly options. But for ease of use, get one that’s variable temperature.
@@projectnerf7920 thanks for your response. Is there any specific rule on choosing switches. I remember 2 x Omron 21A were used while modding Stryfe. Now you took 15A big one and two other mini switches. I'm lost tbh ;) What switch parameters I should look for, in order to mod Stryfe/Rapidstrike only. Cheers
What are all the color wires in the trigger section?
The color itself isn’t important, you can use all one color if that’s all you have. The colors just help to make sure that each connection is in its proper place.

If you are having trouble then there is probably something in the way, perhaps a screw post needs to be removed due to the new parts installed. Not sure without being able to see it.

Sorry I've been asking you a lot of things lately, but I intend to change my rapidstrike. If you don't mind, I want to ask you a few more things: is the honey badger the best pusher motor or are there better ones? With this change, can I fire 400 bullets without making a short circuit or damaging something? Is it worth putting better flywheel motors and metal flywheel cage?
And the last question: what are the best flywheel motors and flywheel cage and pusher motor?
Honey Badger is my personal favorite for the pusher, you can even use it on a 3s built if you want a real flame thrower.
This is great thankyou. How would you incorporate a solenoid pusher into the build from a wiring perspective?
The only solenoid pusher I have ever used was on a Jyn Erzo. they are on 2 wires, so semi auto is easy, just hook them up to a switch. For full auto you have to use a controller of some type. I used a timer that was set to it's quickest setting.

I used a larger 21 amp switch for the rev, and two smaller 10 amp sub-micros for the pusher and the return.
What are the specific sizes of the switches?
I would have to measure them. But if you may be interested, Containment crew sells a plate will take 3 of the large ones.
Is it possible to use a 180 sized motor on the automatic gearbox without modifying the rapidstrike's shell?
Pretty sure you have to cut the shell to use a 180 pusher motor. You might can squeeze a 150 can in it without cutting, not sure.
At the start of your video I seen two resistors what were those used for?
They were diodes actually, and they are used in 3s builds to stop runaway pusher.

Hello! How does an extended pusher arm help for modified rapidstrike? If I make a mod to my rapidstrike like the one you made or does any other change affect the rate of fire if I put an extended pusher arm? Or will the bullets get stuck?
It helps to ensure consistent feeding, it will feed without it, but it gets a little wonky at high rates of fire.
@@projectnerf7920 In what sense wonky? Is it ok if I use the 3s LiPo with honey badger pusher?
first yes your Honey badger will run okay as a pusher on 3s. But at those very high speeds with the stock pusher arm, it can actually begin to retract before the dart has made a good contact with the flywheels. this is where the extended pusher really helps. You can also just add a little to the end of the stock one to cure the issue.

Hi... do you know the size of the screws used for the body? I need to replace mine. Some of the old screws have their heads already being stripped.
I don’t know the exact size, but they can come out of most blasters, save older N-Strike ones. They have larger screws.

What is the pusher cutout switch for?
It is to ensure the pusher returns to the home/ fully retracted position when you let go of the trigger. It’s no truly essential but is very nice for the purpose of unhindered reloads.

Its an xt connecter, there are many sizes but he uses a xt60

Oh for sure ! If you do the re-wire for lipo, it can handle just about anything you can throw at it.
What do you choose between neo rhino 3s or kraken 3s for flywheels motors?Which has more Power?
There are very comparable for torque and speed. So it’s just a matter of preference, I would normally go with Kraken motors, just to show support for out of darts.

They are, but you can use smaller switches if you cant get 21 amp.

Can we reuse the stock wires?
I wouldn’t recommend it, they are not heavy enough to handle current from a lipo.

Can u use 3s lipo on this build? And what kind of mah would u recommend?
You can use a 3s for the build, but you will have to install Diodes to keep the pusher from doing what is known as run away fire! I would stick to 2s for the RS. unless you want to do the extra work. Though my primary for a long time ( The Wraith ) was a 4s variant. It was super cool here's a link to a very old video, but be advised Cringe Alert !!!! Though I still think my Pack A Punch Machine was pretty cool !!

What pusher motor do you recommend for 3s LiPo?
An mtb rhino or an old Valkyrie would work out fine you could also use a honey Badger if you really want it to fly.

Sorry it was supposed to say rhino for 2s is bad. Rhino is for 3s applications. For 2s I normally go with the honey Badger

Sure can, I normally use stronger motors for the flywheels in a full auto blaster though, the extra torque is good for keeping the shots consistent. Kraken or Neo rhinos would probably be your best bet for the flywheels. But Rhinos will work, just have a little less performance.

I have done several of them, including 2 for Pdk films. There not too bad to work with in the grand scheme of things. !
