In my opinion, yes, It is better. I was using firebase for my project and I decided to go for Pocketbase and I used pockatbase as framework and added additional functionality. 😘
If a startup wants to quickly get started with all of Firebase's capabilities and benefits, can Pocketbase+Fly really eliminate the requirement for Firebase? Really possible?
I would see no problem with that. That would have to evolve if you have a bigger production load but for a few thousands conçurent request per second that will scale even on small hardware
@@guibibeau Hello Gui, I am seasoned frontend developer but these days I have to work a lot on fullstack applications (taking care of data models, apis and then frontend as well). I am insanely interested in tools and technologies that can help me with my full-stack workload and that search brought me to this channel. I am trying pocketbase with Astro right now. Any topic covering latest developments in area of fullstack development (both tools and technology) would be very informative and interesting for me. And thankyou so much for getting back to me :) I will be browsing the contents of your channel over the course of weeks, I find it to be very valuable and top quality for myself, so thankyou for putting it all together. Cheers !!!

And where did you host? EC2?
Great video! Very helpful. Have you managed to deploy Pocketbase to AWS EC2? I'd love see a tutorial on that.
Thanks for the video. It saved my time.
You're welcome!
Very helpful. Thank you
You are very welcome !

So would you run your app and pocket base in 2 separate containers, on the same machine?
