Hey guys! Back with another Borderlands 2 countdown video and today, I figured I would go over what I think are the Top 10 Best Grenade Mods in Borderlands 2. This video will encompass a pretty much all the different Grenade types and go over 10 of what I think are the only Borderlands 2 grenades that you'll ever need during Gameplay.

Not that I disagree with your list, but the Contraband Firework definitely should have got a mention. (Bandit, Inciniary, HUGE blast radius, and increases in power with the users level.)

@@mattprogam3r that's what it's supposed to do, it's best used indoors, so at say the bloodshot stronghold where the explosion coming down from it can harm more bandits.
Its not good, its doesnt scale to OP levels
@@giulianovescio8763 I dislike OP levels, kills too many builds, so the fireworks are great and fun, if you knlw how to aim them you can make them explode very near the ground and obliterate mods

Nasty Surprise, a bad combat item but a good utilty if you can get one in slag. It will teleport to the feet of all nearby enemies and drop multiple child grenades for almost guaranteed slag if they hit.
It's an easily overlooked grenade. Sure it sucks as a weapon and it's only in the loot pool of vermivorous but if you're lucky and get one in slag from the loot midgets early game it can carry you for a long time.

Another point towards the Storm Front: Tesla grenades can’t damage the player, while other Vladof elemental grenades can.

It would be more powerful to use a fastball on krieg and axton.
I once got a Longbow Fastball from Boll, but I traded it to my friend because it was around level 30 or so, and Chain Lighting just really gets the job done!
Longbow fastball? That doesn't exist all fastballs are lobbed

Sky rocket doesn’t scale to Op levels, so Later on It’s literally useless.
Piotr Bąk Still, a grenade being consistently useful and a bit OP for 72 levels is fucking impressive.
Saltyoven I was thinking the exact same thing. I hate using the hail, but the skyrocket has a unique delivery system that is great for vertical combat

I personally use the 4x magic missile 99 percent of the time
Funny to think that the fastball is at number one anyone else remember when it was easily the worst grenade because it's blast size was smaller and it's damage was just god awful.

Used to feel like you were throwing an actual baseball at enemies. Now, it feels like you're throwing a very concentrated nuke fueled by a pissed off Chuck Norris.
An idea for you: Top 10 niche/Difficult to use weapons. All of which are very powerful, if the conditions are met.

Same. It stayed relevant for me as Axton until i beat the game and refarmed it on the 2nd time around

Tesla is a good mini alternative for the storm front, and they are world drops and they are easy to get
just be on the lookout for them.
Magic Missile-is what i use the most.
Nice one Puma, but really though I'm a little surprised that you didn't include the Quasar & the Bouncing Bonny/Crossfire.
1. The Quasar is still a great singularity grenade despite it's shock elemental exclusivity. I've brought it with me throughout my characters and it's a really fun & effective grenade. I've used to bore Hyperius so many times plus it's increased singularity effect is very effective. I will admit that I have put myself into Fight For Your Life (FFYL) a few times with this grenade but I managed to get a hang on how it works.
2. I don't really use the Bouncing Bonny/Crossfire a lot but I've used them in some of my raid boss fights & they're actually very effective for slagging those raid bosses easily & I would even say they're fun to use for mobbing. I will admit that I also have gone into Fight For Your Life (FFYL) a few times with this grenade as well but there's a simple strategy. Once you've gotten enough seraph crystals from any DLC raid boss in general, go into normal mode and get the Crossfire from the seraph vendor.
I've come to love the Fastball in everything paired with either a full Maliwan Slag Rubi or Grog Nozzle. Makes most areas a freaking cake walk!!!

I'd argue that the bonus package is actually easier to get than the meteor shower. Not only because BoomBewm is a rather easy boss (at least considerably easier than any of the seraph guardians) but you can also just buy one with Torgue Tokens in the Torgue DLC and Torgue Tokens are in my humble opinion a lot easier to farm than seraph crystals. All you need to do to get 20 guaranteed Torgue Tokens is the Bar Room Blitz Tier 3 mission in Pyro Petes Burner Bar and the enemies you kill during that mission can also drop them. Since you can complete this mission very quickly in about 2 minutes and it is repeatable you can quite easily get the 613 Torgue Tokens required to purchase any Torgue legendary from the Vendor within roughly one hour. It should be mentioned that this mission is only really farmable once you hit around lv. 50 or higher because the mission level in normal mode is set to level 50.
I still use the legendary bouncing Bonny for the memes and for my Dahl only axton. Ofc with a WTF shield and reborn mod it's glorious.
The chain lightning reminds me of the Hunter's Arcbolt grenade from Destiny
Always a fan of Pandemic, Fire Bee, and Storm Front. First two are huge pain the arse to get, however. Understandable they aren't on the list. I've only gotten them from Lynchwood farming the sheriff chest.
Pandemic can be farmed from Mortar, and it is not difficult, so long as you are playing anyone except Zer0.
Yes the fastball is awesome it does take getting used to but it is awesome

I prefer leech grenades to transfusion. In the few situations where I use healing grenades they tend to be more effective. They generally aren't as powerful but you don't have to worry about intercepting healing trails, which is almost always a problem with transfusions.

The contraband skyrocket is a very good grenade. Sure it’s frustrating but the damage it can deal is amazing.

Cool video dude. It's got to be said, purple rarity magic missile, any fast ball and the lightning bolt are the best grenades you can have in bl2, especially the magic missile on ultimate vault hunter mode, so useful have grenade ammo regeneration.
Correction:chain lightning is the better.
Another little side effect of Tesla grenades is that they'll zap and destroy any loader rockets that travel through the Tesla field.
Quasar should be here. Maybe it's just me but damn it's a great grenade!!

Currently doing Tiny Tina's One-Shot adventure and Fire Storm melts away at almost everything, you only need them for 1 and 3 phase of sorcerers fight, even at few levels bellow its just a moster how good it works
I got to admit... My favorite unique grenade is BOT Breath of Terramorphous and my favorite Legendary is Surprise
I got a storm front off a gun loader in friendship gulag the other day it works great against badass and larger type threshers.

the quasar has a wider range on its singularity. saying that the singularity is the most important part on these grenades is contradictory when you choose to advertise slag singularities as better.
The top 3 work well with moxie weapons and if you hate treants NRG orbs use any tesla grenade
I just maxed out a Kreig build and with blooodsplosion a fast ball and a slag weapon u will kill just about anything that attacks u in a very efficient manner.

Purple Magic Missile grenades are really rare, I've only ever gotten one and it's level 50. Yes it is amazing because it's a guaranteed Slag (assuming the enemy isn't immune to Slag) but with how poor the damage is in higher level UVHM it's getting harder for me to use it effectively.
I got a Corrosive Fastball from a Loot Loader. Carried me right through TVHM
Puma logic: Meteor shower is easier to get because you buy it with seraph crystals from vendors... you have to kill a goddamn RAID BOSS for crystals, and somehow thats easier to do than to kill a shotgun midget and a marauder... gg

I REALLY hope that Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode, Master Vault Hunter Mode, and Suicidal Vault Hunter Mode isn't as restrictive in Borderlands 3. As good as the Magic Missile is, it gets boring after a while, especially with so many other good options.
Maybe there'll be a skill or, better yet, an item that will can replenish grenades, too, because some of these mods really eat through your grenade pool.
Other than the regenerating ammo, the effervescent Antifection from the Lilith DLC is a straight upgrade to the fire storm. Also, the effervescent Electric Chair is an upgrade to the Storm Front.
Nothing against Puma, those came out after this video.

That's the one from NVHM (Normal Vault Hunter Mode), once you finish the main story you'll get to TVHM (True Vault Hunter Mode) and you'll be able to farm Boll at a higher level. You can get as many as you want as long as you keep farming him.
Once you get into TVHM, Boll should be around Lv. 30 or so. Beat that mode and he goes up to 50. In UVHM, enemies always scale to your level, so just farm him again when you feel like your Fastball isn't hitting as hard anymore.

Noob question here: how do you get a quest reward (like the pimpernel or the sandhawk) in different elements??
Jan-Willem Potter you'd have to either reset your play through if you want a couple different elements or just dashbored or quit without Saving till you get what u want

If you want multiple ones from the first two playthroughs you could just make a new character to get it. It may take some extra time but you can increase your chances of getting more of what you want and a bonus to your B.A. Ranking. :D Jake Marshall is correct about dashboarding or alt+F4 out of your game to prevent saving.
Look up how to read only farm
set save to read-only, grab item, put in stash, repeat
Also 99% sure all the Dragon Keep DLC grenades can drop from the Handsome Sorcerer. Just wanted to throw this out so some players who want to farm Handsome Sorcerer can get most grenade mods
Maybe for your next video you can do top 10 things that can kill quickly without slag?
And I mean *anything* not just guns.
Why don't you do a video of like say a top 20 of all weapons in Borderlands history including a mix of all: Pistols, SMGs, Shotguns, Snipers, Assault Rifles, and Rocket Launchers. Just a thought

I haven't used all of the grenades on this list but I find the fast ball to be incredibly underwhelming, and I find the storm front criminally underrated. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but the fastball seems to do half the damage of the storm front despite them being the same level
Slag your enemies and make sure you aren't using fire Fastballs on armoured dudes. Otherwise, you're good.
I don't like storm front only because it as that explosion and also explodes after which results in me getting hurt, but overall it's actually really good I melted Pyro Pete and Hyperius with storm front only.
Same the tesla's don't kill me so I prefer them

Storm front. Kills everything. Always. Nothing better.
There is nothing wrong with the quasar (other than the way you farm it). It's great for getting rid of a large group of enemies' sheilds. Plus the slag singularity has such a low slag chance that is isn't even worth using imo, rather just let them get the DOT from the quasar. The only time I'd use a singularity over a quasar is when I'm trying to b0re hyperious.
Btw the o negative has a zero fuse but it is bugged and 0 fuse is called 1.0 so 1.0 is 0 fuse

-Carry over Fight For Your Life but remove your abilities to get Second Winds from killing your opponent and your shield does not fully restore when you are revived.
-Now take the multiple unique characters. Now all of the characters are just skins from MICRO TRANSACTIONS. With nothing special about them.

I liked the rest of the video but who uses the fastball without Axton? I like the fastball as much as the next guy, but there is no way it gets more blanket usage than something like a bonus package, O-negetive or magic missile in terms if sheer usefulness on all characters. Like the infinity is pretty good right, but it only really excells on Zero because if one shot one kill. It can be a top tier weapon in some cases, but it doesn't hold a candle to something like the interfacer, norfleeet, pimpernel, unkempt Harold, or even most moxie guns I'd argue. Does it deserves a place on a best of list, sure! Is it the number one weapon? I'd beg to differ. But it's not my channel, so what do I know. Have a good day puma.

My faveortir normal is ALL vladof grenades because every single grenade of theirs is a AOE (area of effect) my least is bouncing Bettie's because they bounce to far and doesn't bounce strait
