Vinod Khanna is a great actor. He is looking so handsome in the movie. Danny is very talented actor. Really the movie is fantastic. I'm so lucky that I have met Danny and Vinod Khanna in Mumbai. I met Danny on the set of the movie Vijaypath.
I came to watch this movie due to that magical song 'Muskurata Hua mera yaaar' & after watching this movie i become a fan of handsome hunk 'Vinod Khanna'.
Well directed movie of the late seventies starring Vinod khanna, Shabana azmi, Danny Denzongpa, Helen, Macmohan, and Ranjeet. In practically all Bollywood movies of the sixties and seventies, helicopter/choppers have been used to film stunt scenes. Be it Roti, Hum kisi se Kum nahin, Love in Tokyo,An evening in Paris to name a few.
A beautiful movie. I saw this in 1982 or 83. The song that stayed with me was "Mathe ki bindiya bole...". And the ending is like no other Hindi movie, except perhaps Masoom. Vinod Khanna saheb was a giant at that time. It is a great loss to Hindi cinema that he went away to Osho. I am 100 percent sure that had he stayed on, he would have been the original "Angry Young Man". The first and actually, the only real masculine Hindi film hero yet. Tough with goons, soft with ladies. And a superb acting skill to match. We are lucky that his best works like "Achaanak" are still with us. Rest in peace, Vinod saheb. Your fans are still mourning their loss😪

AMitabh dominated from the mid 70s till late 80s... Vinod a great actor but his style was always the same, he was always AMitabh's second in command ..
That's true about BIG B being angry young man.. But Vinod Khanna was already an established actor before Zanjeer.. Many of the movies that was made for Vinod Khanna was gone to Amitabh Bachchan during those 5 years.. Almost all magazine cover pages were featured by Vinod Khanna.. Infact Vinod Khanna was paid more than AB during those days.. He left the industry during his peak time!
