- Опубліковано 6 лют 2025
- I'm camping in my RV in Florida working on the boat, I make a huge hole in my boat and then fix it. My Mom comes to visit to make sure I'm doing everything right.
Thanks for joining my on my adventure as I restore a hurricane damaged PDQ Antares 44 Catamaran. Come along as I learn about fiberglass repairs, and everything else I need to know to live my dream and cruise the world.
Special Thanks to:

It was cool to have her there with you, her questions and discussion between you guys made the whole glassing process more entertaining to follow. 👍
Thanks Mika...it sure helped my understanding!
Your Mom was a GREAT addition to the narration aspects of this.... she had good questions.... and obviously likes this project.... anything for her favorite son huh? 😉😉
It’s so great the way you explain everything to your mom and she is right there with you filming the process ..
another great video Bryan .. keep them coming… boat is slowly coming together
It sounds like everyone liked your mom just as I did. That’s what I call quality time together. When she is gone, many years from now, you can watch this video with pride.
It’s great to have your mum there asking the questions we can’t. !
Great job Bryan. Your Mom sure was asking a lot of relevant questions. I kept waiting for her to say: You’re doing that wrong, move over and let me show you how to do that.
Still here Bryan. You've become a master at fiberglass. I really liked having your curious mom. Not all moms take an interest in their adult children's projects. She loves you.
I sure do!
Great to hear your mum she’s clearly proud of you, sometimes we all need a little support.
I am watching your video and I agree with your Mom. Moms are always right. To your Mom, it is nice to see how much you support your son’s craziness. 😀. When my Mom was alive, she was the same way.
Watching since the beginning. I was worried at the start that this project was more than you could handle. You have proved me wrong. Great job, good luck, and keep pushing forward!
Hello from Siesta Key Florida
Been there from the start also.
Definitely Mom gets a nice vacation with you!! 😃👏👏👏
Great job loved the commentary by your mom she was asking all the right questions! Can’t wait to see this boat floating again!
Thanks Tim...Me too!
Your mom is a sweetheart and obviously your biggest fan. Thanks for the video!
I like the look of the moving camera. A stationary camera doesn't have as good a look when watching. Good job Mom!
Everyone should have a Bryan's mom for encouragement and assistance. I understand she lives in Sweden and I have a few projects on my boat in Stockholm coming up this spring..... 😀
You have a great mom pretending to like watching you glass!! SO lucky!
Loved the questions from your mom. I have watched from the beginning. I started with Parlay revival. and then found your Channel. I found it interesting that you built your own house. I did the same in my late 20's. Not sure why I am so obsessed with the sailing stuff as I am a bit terrified of the Ocean. But watching you work through this project has been weirdly satisfying. Keep up the great work. Cannot wait to see how this boat comes out.
Your Mom is a great lady Bryan!
Brian, just listening to your Mother was so nice 😊, she sounds very interested and interesting 🤔 , knowledgeable in a lot of things and definitely added to the video! Great job Mom , great job both of you! I am just saying mom was enjoyable to hear her pride in you , very nice 👍🏼
Thanks Patrick! Yes, I am very proud of all he can do and the fine person that he is!
Great having Cardi B on board videoing ..Okay... Your work ethic is unbeliveable...im tired just watching you marra..keep ya head up.
Nice that you can share this adventure with your Mom. Cheers
Another great one. Your mom is awesome.
I hope you don’t take this the wrong way but I appreciate that you don’t make this “look easy”. Other restoration videos make restoration look so easy that anyone could do it in a few weekends. Your work looks great and you are an inspiration but you also give realistic videos of your work. Thank you for your work.
Welcome back. Time, patience and commitment. Never as easy as the video. Heat, humidity, planning, dust, fiberglass itching, glue, cleanup. Very informative though.
Wonderful Mum contribution.
Safety first, that ladder looked unstable.
It was a fun impromptu interview!
When completed, this cat will be stronger than it originally was. You're doing an excellent job. 👍
You have a smart mum. She knows all the right questions to ask and shows real interest. I don't know how you do it and keep plugging away. Can't wait for the next video!
Your Mum was a great addition to this video!
Thanks mom. A great addition to the videos.
Nice going Brian. I also enjoyed the banter with your mother. My mother would come out to my hanger when working on my airplane, I am sure our discussions would have been similar.
brother bryan what a fantastic vidéo. your mom, she loves you and she so proud of you. my mom loved me like that but she passed away a while ago. please thank your mom for her presence and her love for her son. she's so proud of you. her questions were right on point. obviously, she has been listening and learning what you're doing. thanks for being patient with her. thanks for honoring her. cheers
Nice to see your Mum taking an interest, doing a great job see you next episode.
Thanks...there will be more "get togethers" in the future!
As usual a class video with very good questions from your Mum. She's a natural UA-camr.
Thanks Cameron!
Good on your Mum
What a legend
Good on you Mum!
Going well Bryan, thank you for sharing this with us.
Brian Top Hat "25
Hey thanks Bri! I really admire all his hard work!
Great job Mom !
Thanks Karl!
You just listen to your mom Bryan, she’s right, you have done one hell’va good job and a tremendous amount of glass and sanding, remember when this thing looked like it fell out of a C130 at 30,000ft. Now it’s really starting to look like a boat. Good job man. 😃👍
So awsome to have mom or anyone to just be there to keep you company,
Thanks Bryan. I know your not making the videos to make a bunch of money but I love watching them.
Nice to have your mom there asking great questions and keeping you company looking good 👍
It was nice...thanks Brad!
Great video Bryan ! So nice to have your Mother in the Video ,She is so Proud of you, unfortunately my Mother never saw any of my Accomplishments as she passed away when I was thirteen. Be careful on that ladder, ( I would put in some large tent pegs and attach( rope) the base of the ladder to them) Have fun, stay safe, best wishes. Glen W.
Sure am proud of him as I am sure your mom would be of you...
Bryan, you are my favorite one and a living legend - a great video once again
You are my boat repair hero. Love the positive energy you are an inspiration my friend. Keep on keeping on🤠
Amazing work!! Having your Mom with you was great !!
Bryan, you are doing such a good job, well done. You have a beautiful mother. So awesome to hear you guys talk as you worked. Best video yet👍
Thanks Rod, it was a fun time!!!
So nice to hear you mom being so supportive. Mine would have just looked at that heap and said there is no way that thing will ever float again.
I live in south of Sweden (Blekinge) loive your explaining and detail work.
I actually enjoyed watching from start to finish on this repair. Your mom was right lol. You have come a long way at this point it looks like you made a great choice of boats.
Hi bryan, i got a grp sailingboat for free 1,5 years a go. 26 ft. I am entering my 69 th. year now . You are a real inspiration to me . Keep up the good job. Love the job you are doing.
It’s great having your mother there, asking all those great questions and having you explain it in such a clear way. Great video!
So nice to see your Mom's support! Keep it up! Can't wait to see the next episode. :)
for what its worth you are a project superhero. any time now I slow down on one of my bike or car tasks I think of "Super Cat Brian' grinding and laminating his way to a clear blue ocean somewhere in the Bahamas... When you get there, a rum in your hand on the foredeck- you'll be the most deserving guy out there!! Carry on.
Gday Bryan,
What a cool lady your Mum is. Such great questions and wow she could teach a few UA-camrs about camera work. Obviously a family of practical people. Top effort all,
Cheers 🍻
I don't know about energy Bryan, but your passion is admirable. Thanks for another interesting episode.
Watching and comments as I go through your repair work and I tell myself NOT to buy a boat that’s been this damaged 🤣
But your killin it 💪
I do not get tired of seeing you doing fiberglass work, I learn so much from you, I don't want you to stop... Cheers, Richard
Lucky to have a great Mom, she a keeper! And keep up the videos, I love them
Hi Bryan and Bryan's Mom. Great to have your Mom's perspective. I've been watching from the beginning, always enjoyable. Really appreciate the explanations as you go. Thank you for sharing your insights and experience. Any chance that you would do an in-depth video on your CNC set up? You showed it briefly before but more on how you built it would be great. That is, of course, when you find the time :). Doug
Always great to see one of your videos.
It was great listening to your mother ask questions in real time. That way we got a bit of the demonstrated answer as you pointed out things like Mat direction, Mat which side up, time and batch size. Great stuff.keep it real Brian, it is one of the best channels showing a refit. Or in this case a rebuild. 2 thumbs up.
Glad to hear that it was helpful...
Mom asks great questions.
Been watching from the beginning and FairPlay your doing a top job. I have just finished replacing the deck core from the inside of my 1990’s 330 sea ray that was enough fibreglass dust for me!! Your taking it to a whole other level. Keep going 💪👍
great videos
Excellent video showing how much goes into rebuilding a damaged boat.
Few potential boat buyers have any idea how much time and money it takes even if you do it all yourself. You also show that just about anyone can do it if they stick to it.
I agree with your mom.. That boat was a wreck and it's come a long way... and you may not be proud of it yet but when its done you will be proud of her..
Thanks William...it is going to be amazing when he gets it done!!!
Top effort Brian, keep bashing it out🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🇦🇺
I think the plan is let if float soon ? and take the boat to your new home ? it is a long drive to the boat.
At least you going to know every inch of your boat ! Awesome looking good .
Gittin R Dun. Bryan! Looking awesome ! Hej på dej Mom!
Hejsan Jeremy!!!
Love the progress! Keep plugging away, its really coming along. I look forward to the next video.
Videos are great Your sailing channel rank is high.
Listening to your philosophy on life is really cool.
Hi Bryan. Another enertaining video from my favourite channel! And didnt have to wait to long either. I see where your patience comes from! I loved seeing again the jigsaw bulkhead, a story in itself! Time for another quick boat tour, showing all the repairs, and maybe a few plans? That would be great. Keep it up! Love it.
Your mom had a point that was a lot of damage on the starboard aft end , It was curious how you did it you picked away at it one piece at a time a lot of people would’ve tried to do the whole thing at once
Your motivation is remarkable. I am far too lazy to take on a job this size.
Your persistence and dedication are impressive Brian
Your work it seems is pretty damned good as well
You make me smile every time I watch your latest upload mate
Really looking forward to seeing this boat when it’s all complete and shiny
Take care mate and battle on
There are a few things I never want to work on again. That is fiberglass. After a few years working on Corvettes I hate working with the stuff. Good luck Bryan with your project. BTW maybe you should build a decent stairway for this project. That would make this rebuild much less difficult.
Great to see you working on your boat!
Nice video and wonderful memories with your mother. Keep up the good Bryan
Always good to see your new vids. Keep going and keep dreaming
learn from your comments every time. i9 love working with my hands and this gives me so many ideas. makes it good to watch how you do things.
Great video as always Bryan. I think showing the time frame on the video really brings things into prospective because sometime it does feel like it only take a few minutes to do certain job. Thanks again for sharing!
Great work Brian, I really admire you.
Bryan this is getting exciting!
Thank you for sharing this.
Bri
Just finished binge watching all your videos cant wait to see more.
you also make me want to by a storm damaged boat and repair it :P
fantastic Brian keep up the good work looking forward to the next one !
I found the questions and responses on the glassing process while you were working very informative. I agree with your mom that you have accomplished a considerable amount on the boat. Glad to see that you are still keeping both the work on the boat and documenting the entire process. I can only imagine how difficult it is to document the work and continue to accomplish the repairs.
Your dedication is really commendable, love the dedication and keep going I am sure it will be all worth while, Paul, Manchester England
Its fun to see you getting close to motors and such! Let us know if you decide to start up your patreon again. We'll be happy to pitch in to buy you a new box of rubber gloves.
I love watching these man! Keep these videos coming I binge watch your series
Great work - im happy to see you moving forward
looks like Bryan has sorted out the galley slave issues
Moms are great, they nurture, then enjoy the results.
Entertained? No. I watch to be enlightened.
At some point in time with your reno of this cat, you may be looking at and evaluating your engines and thought I give you some info that may prove useful.
Several years back I had a problem with my 4 cyl gas volvo penta alum head exhaust ports. The exhaust gas had destroyed part of the opening and exhaust was escaping with a pop pop pop sound. Rather than taking head off, having it welded or getting a new one, I used a product called Pyro Putty. Co has version for aluminum and steel and this 2 part product (not epoxy) is good to 2000-2800 deg F. Mix parts, becomes paste, put it on damaged parts, file to shape when hardened and it has worked fine for 3+ yrs. 6 oz can costs around $70. It can't be used where water is present, but does stand up to exhaust heat very well. Just thought I'd mention for future reference.
Nice job Brian coming along nicely.when doing complex shapes you can use two pieces of stuff cardboard .easy to trim .left and right then overlap in middle join with tape .perfect templet
Coolll Man ✌️🙌👍😉kip going💪💪💪💪💪 Bro,, activaooo bravo 🌊⛵🌬️
Great questions Mom - I leant some new stuff, Thank You!!!
Bravo Capt. Bryan
Cheers to you
Thanks for a great update, keep showing us your great work!
This was a brutal project from the begining but you have come so far, keep up the good work👌🏻👍🏻. A question, are you Swedish origin or has your Mom just moved to Sweden?
Coming together now Bryan 👍thanks mom
Great show really look forward to your videos.
