Yet another thirty minutes where I talk about King of the Hill. This time about my favorite episodes. Sorry about the audio. Follow me on Twitch: / harveymccloud
As someone who is a smoker i can say the cigarette episode accurately shows how hard it is to quit. The scene where hank is tossing and turning in bed, you can just feel the pins and needles feeling you get when dealing with the withdrawal.
I love hearing others opinions and what they get out of this show. It may sound funny but it taught me a lot. It’s the only cartoon that’s a real life style show.
Funniest King of the Hill episodes: 1. Dog Dancing 2. The one where Cotton and his friends try to kill Fidel Castro and frame Hank for it 3. The one where they go camping and the Rainbow Gathering is at the same campground 4. The one where Dale becomes a Vice President at Stik-Tech because he's good at firing people 5. The one where Bobby and Peggy and Hank all get addicted to cigarettes
I am stunned that you did not include the episode 'Livin on Reds, Vitamin C, and Propane' on this list. That episode could have been the entire basis for a King Of The Hill movie
Bobby: “I heard this is the place where young people go to make out and old people go to die” Joseph: “what if it’s the place where old people go to make out and young people go to die?”.
I love king of the hill because I love how everyone’s one big family in reality... in the earlier seasons the hills aren’t really fond of khan and Minh but eventually you can tell they become great neighbors and hank even takes care of Minh and Connie when khan looses his job TWICE! .. I love how hank can’t stand luanne but is always there for her in the end of the day.. and yess the Bobby scene.. with him talking Peggy out of a hole... every character has so many wholesome moments through out the series...
#10. Grand Theft Arlen #9. That’s What She Said! #8. Livin’ On Reds, Vitamin C And Propane #7. The Substitute Spanish Prisoner #6. My Own Private Rodeo #5. To Sirloin With Love #4. Pretty, Pretty Dresses #3. Ms. Wakefield #2. Yard She Blows! #1. A Firefighting We Will Go
There was the episode where Bill dated the minister. She was originally voiced by the late Mary Tyler Moore. But again the romance had to end. I did watch this one video where Peggy’s personality was pointed out. I never thought about it before but now watch the series wondering how she will make situations about her. You can really see it in the one where Hank is a substitute shop teacher.
The cig episode kinda reminds me more of how it is kicking dope vs cigs but obv they couldn't have the Hills on dope. It still promotes a good message and shows the struggle and how desperate and irrational you get with all the terrible incapacitating effects.
“That’s my purse, I don’t know you!!” Best quote ever! Oh and to the author of the video this video just made me sub your awesome keep up the great work
Just found your channel and really enjoying your videos! Love the King of the Hill videos! Keep those up if you can if you have more top 10 KOTH stuff to make videos on. Keep up the great content!
Really well put together video and some good picks. I'd have to really stop and consider what are my top 10 episodes - here in the UK the series darted all across the schedules and it was often hard to keep up with, I've seen most seasons through on DVD a couple of times but it's been on my 'to do' list for ages to finally sit and watch (and review) each episode. So many great characters and moments, it's a series I've always loved. KOTH is an interesting series as in there are some instant classics, but other episodes that don't always grab the attention on the first view but are definite growers, often with some quite dry and/or subtle humour that comes out on subsequent viewings. Maybe you should do a "best of" KOTH seasons list, too. :)
My top 25 episodes are (1) Bobby goes nuts (2) kidney boy and hamster girl a love story (3) boxing luanne (4) part 1 Hanky Panky and part 2 High Anxiety (5) escape from party island (6) My Hair Lady (7) Master of Puppets (8) Livin' on Reds, Vitamin C and Propane (9) Ho yeah! (10) Cops and Robert (11) part 1 Propane Boom and part 2 Death of a Propane Salesman (12) Meet the Propaniacs” (13) The Minh Who Knew Too Much (14) Keeping Up With Our Joneses (15) Love Hurts and So Does Art (16) Little Horrors of Shop (17) Ms. Wakefield (18) Megalo Dale (19) The Bluegrass is Always Greener (20) returning japanese part 1 and 2 (21) A Beer Can Named Desire (22) nancy boys (23) Aisle 8A (24) Bill, Bulk and the Body Buddies (25) Dances With Dogs
the end where they notice how beautiful the new day is, is the final scene in the Sinatra addiction movie Man With A Golden Arm. Sinatra comes outside after a difficult night of withdrawal and expresses the same feeling. The world is beautiful and hopeful.
Thanks for sharing. I occasionally watched "KOTH" during its run and recently rediscovered it when FXX began airing the reruns. I'm glad I did. I agree: "To Sirloin With Love" is a great series finale (or rather, non-syndication series finale). As for my favorite episode, it's toss-up between "Wings of the Dope" and "Movin' on Up." "Movin' on Up" has perhaps my favorite moment on the show, when my favorite "KOTH" character, Luanne, and Hank share a beer and a "Yep" at the end. Shawn R., Mo-Mutt Music
What I loathe about Bill's ex-wife Lenore is that she couldn't stand to see him happy, and she wanted to be in the "high society" she thought he was living but couldn't.
Glad to see there are a few like minded people out there like me who still obsess over this show and hail it as their favorite. It’s the rare kind of show that spits in the face of merchandising and popularity and trades it in for cult-like status through dry humor, a severe focus on common sense and those opposed to it, and just goes to show how extraordinary an ordinary town, and family, can be. I think it’s safe to say I’m probably not alone in saying that I might’ve not realized how good I had it when I was watching it live when it was coming out, preferring the more immature sitcoms/cartoons that were plastered all over the 90’s, but the fact that Netflix made it binge watchable for a brief moment in time secured KOTH’s place in my heart as the number one show of all time.
In#8, Peggy comes off as a narcisstic dictator. The whole episode is Peggy's fault! From the time she Tells Luanne's supervisor she's fired without even consulting Luanne or asking her if she wants to continue working with the super. Not trying to negotiate Luanne's short comings. Then Peggy finds a job for Luanne, she doesn't get to pick the time, Peggy accompanies Luanne to the Larson seminar, cuts in when Luanne raises her hand, not asking a question but making a statement just to be noticed, making her come off as narcisstic. She continues to dictate by "chaperoning" Luanne but the schizo-pig owner Larson, (lol) finds a way to "check" Peggy. ( The headless pig was hilarious!) Peggy relentessly pursues, all the way to working the machine that ultimately kills him. (He told Luanne how to work it she pushes Luanne out the way and press every button and lever.) It was one of my favorites meticulously done.🥰👍
For us, the cigarette episode is the best. We watched King of the Hill so long, we forgot it was a comic !!! I hope to take my wife to Texas someday so we can have What a burger and Alamo. The scariest part of this post? We are both college educated people !!!!
@@larrystrauchman5126 btw theres a stereotype that people with foot fetishes are creeps that barely leave their mom's basements and she could've been referring to that
Pygmalion? Come on lol. It is YOUR list, it's just that I have that and Peggy's feet on my top worst list lol. We all like what we like. I would of had the Pilot on here, as well as Khando and Dang Ol Love.
But the pig guy had footage of THREE snowmen catching on fire! But seriously, I would like to see your list of best and worst given that some of your favorites appear on my worst and voice versa. Would love to hear some insight.

Most cigarettes have urine in them
Same with coke
Hope you were able to kick it!
@@ThaRealBummyDavis well I'm doing some lines tonight but I hope to one day be done with it for good. Thank you
Quiting smoking is easy. I did it 10 times by now
My fav KOTH episode is when they all went to Louisiana and Bobby says "My Lawd" picking up on the accents 😆
“ i’m going to give room service a jangle! “
Then Hank throws his clothes off the balcony hahaha
I like when Bill's cousins hiss at each other 🤣🤣🤣
My favorite episode
This is definitely my go to show, if I don’t know what to watch. It has humor that isn’t overbearing, and iconic characters.
I love hearing others opinions and what they get out of this show. It may sound funny but it taught me a lot. It’s the only cartoon that’s a real life style show.
One of my favorites is when Peggy finally figured out Nancy and John Redcorn are an item.
Johnnnn Redcorn!
Pe-heEEEGY Hill.
Yeah man, you know man... (Boomhouer) 😆

Which episode is that again?
@@davyjones3105 That’s the one where Hank and Bobby are going to Arizona in a big rig, and the guys sneak in the back of the truck
"Firing Gladstone? Sure. Gladstone!!" 😂 This list is decent.
I always get that happy tingly feeling when hearing Bobby’s speech in the transnational amusements
“Get wrecked Peggy” I C O N I C 😂❤️ great KOTH video!
One of my favorites was where Bobby Joseph and Connie explore the caves
which episode?
Bobby: “I heard this is the place where young people go to make out and old people go to die”
Joseph: “what if it’s the place where old people go to make out and young people go to die?”.
I’m starting to get things
The caves where most teen pregnancy happened in the 70s.. says peggy

Wow, this was made three weeks ago? I’m surprised KotH is still being talked about. Great work!
The boggle episode is my all time favorite
Hank Hill - BOGGLE
I think my favorite part of #9 is how Kahn gets involved and says she’s bluffing finish her 🤣
The one dislike is from cotton hill.
#10. Grand Theft Arlen
#9. That’s What She Said!
#8. Livin’ On Reds, Vitamin C And Propane

#1. A Firefighting We Will Go
Yeah man, High anxiety, Natural food, Pillow, The Hank's back as well 😆
I have seen Returning Japanese Parts 1 and 2 so many times more than any other season finale of the series ;w;
There was the episode where Bill dated the minister. She was originally voiced by the late Mary Tyler Moore. But again the romance had to end.

Fr kicked cigs many times no problem but dope is another animal. Thank the Gods for ibogaine.
Bobby's talk for Peggy is so true.
"I've been looking forward to this"

Why do I find Hank getting in an uproar over Peggy and Bobby bringing charcoal into the house so hilarious.
Because Peggy thought it was drugs!*
*not really
I honestly would've put "A Firefighting We Will Go" in my top 3 personally, but I'm happy with the list regardless
I've seen every episode and at some point plan on making my own video about the show. This is an excellent list.

I hope you ll make it here on UA-cam! You really worked hard for this video.
I'm watching this while clicking and typing in a cubicle in an office building.
30:11 that's the same dress Hank wore in Pretty, Pretty Dresses when Bill was going crazy over Lenore and crashed Hank's Christmas Party.

What I loathe about Bill's ex-wife Lenore is that she couldn't stand to see him happy, and she wanted to be in the "high society" she thought he was living but couldn't.

I've always really liked Little Shop of Horrors and How to fire a rifle without really trying.
Returning Japanese premiered both parts the same night, back to back, you missed part 1 by literally 30 mins when you saw part 2 premiere.
Subbed
Hey man, you ever gonna do anymore KOTH videos? Cause…..I’d support that.
I'm thinking of one to do. I just had a baby so my time to make videos is much more limited. But I do want to make more.
