      Pretty much. australian society doesn't value people who are smart and produce things. that's what immigrants are for.

    Pisa is not a good review because it did not base on whole country's students. It only view on certain students in certain city.

    Schools should teach on practical things that they need.Having good grades is not a guarantee or indicator for success

      Ironically enough, people in Singapore also complain about that, usually in reference to out of touch politicians lol. It's a worldwide thing and kind of natural if you think about it, there will always be a subset of people who can remember things well but have a hard time extrapolating things in real life. One looks backwards (memory) while the other looks forward (extrapolation). Kind of totally opposite in type of skill.
